Le Florin in Rennes

Great hotel in an excellent location, rooms had everything you need for city break.
Most of the employees were amazing, friendly, helpful and welcoming, some slightly less so.
Only note is I would personally prefer to be able to take my room key with me rather than leaving it with the reception, I understand this is for a security reason however when I returned in the evening the receptionists had my room key already in hand and were giggling, upon inspection my room seemed untouched, but it was a strange experience.
Overall a great stay and I would recommend for anyone who needs a location near the central station.

Very convenient location if you’re taking the train. The staff are really nice. The breakfast could be improved but it’s ok.

The location cannot be beat--it's across the street from the train station, and only a short walk from the city center. The room was basic, but comfortable, and the staff was friendly.

I booked this hotel just because it was close to the train station, but it was such a great value that I couldn't wait to add another night after my first night. It's worth mentioning that I encountered the most sincere and helpful hotel receptionist in my entire trip to France - maybe it's because this is a family-run hotel - in short, they lent a hand whenever I needed help. The room was simple, but the bed fabrics were very comfortable, and the glass door of the shower had some minor problems but it was generally clean.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff with great knowledge of Rennes. My particular room was a bit of a cupboard but it was clean, quiet and great value. Central Rennes location. Launderette nearby. Station within metres of hotel. We're able to take care if my bike securely.
