Hotel Continental - Reims in Reims

This was my second stay at this hotel. Same great service and location. An exceptional value!

Our stay was amazing the hotel and the staff were superb. We even dined at the restaurant for dinner and it was exceptional the only issue we had was that our shower drain didn’t drain well so when we took a shower it flooded the bathroom floor. Obviously a drainage issue but when I got into the shower I could smell the drainage issue and should have known. It was a putrid smell out nespresso machine also didn’t work. They provided us with complimentary cafe to make up for it. Thank you! Overall the stay was perfect oh and also my husband forgot his wedding ring and luckily the cleaning staff were hoe st and turned it into the desk! Thank god for good people and many blessings to them for their honesty! Very happy with our stay. Very beautiful accommodations.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location. Located next to the train station. Room was comfortable. We were staying for a birthday and they dressed the room up with rose petals and small gifts .

I really enjoyed Reims because of this hotels location relative to places we were trying to go: short walk from restaurants, bars, the train station, and the famous major churches that people come here to visit.
The lobby has free water and they give you water bottles to use to get the free water, which is always a plus for me in Europe when tap water/free water that isn’t bottled water is usually only available from the bathroom sink or a restaurant.
Our hotel did have one issue that the staff resolved. The battery on the pin pad to our room died and we couldn’t use the key to get in because of it. We both left the room to get the fancy water and we both got locked out. The staff did a great job resolving this because it was inconvenient that we got locked out. My phone and my coat were in our room and I couldn’t get them. We had to rush off to a champagne tour (this hotel is near the champagne region) and I wanted to take pictures/have a way to call for help if something went wrong. The hotel staff member let me use one of their work phones to take pictures and contact the outside world. The hotel staff also found a random coat to let me wear on the tour because it was outside sometimes and it was cold!!! I had eaten some food for dinner really quickly and they also let me put my left overs in their staff fridge (because my fridge was behind a door that we couldn’t open) so we didn’t waste food. (I ate this food the next morning for breakfast and it was great!!! Was so glad I got to save it even tho we didn’t have access to our room)
They did not have to do this. They went above and beyond to solve our problems while they waited for someone to take the door handle off. Because the door handle had to be taken off while we were gone, they gave us a very nice suite for free. They also sent a nice man to help move all our bags to the new room. The new room was definitely nicer than our original accommodation, and when we came back from the champagne tour, they gave us a free bottle of premier cru champagne in a bucket of ice with glasses, a box of fancy chocolates, and an I’m sorry card apologizing that the door lock battery stopped working and that we got shuffled around and I had to live a day without my phone. They didn’t have to do this but they did do this because they wanted us to be happy and have a pleasant stay. I was very pleased with their efforts to resolve the situation and compensate us for our time and trouble. If we ever went back to the champagne region I’d stay here again because of how nice they were about all of this and because of the location and because it was close to the train station.

Beautiful hotel in a great spot. Out room faced the street and was quiet with the window closed but we needed to keep it open at times cause the room got quite hot. Lots of street noise till about two in the morning and then garbage trucks etc. an internal room would have been better.

What a nice hotel stay this was. The hotel is exactly as it appears in pictures. Staff was welcoming at check in and stored our bags for us as we arrived a couple of hours early. Once we got to our room we were greeted with Lovely clean accommodations. The Hotel is located a 3 minute walk from the main train station in Reims which gives you easy access to Epernay (It's all about the bubbly while your here), but you heard absolutely no noise from the train station. The Hotel also sits at the head of a main shopping and restaurant strip which made lots of dining options available. We did have breakfast on our last day and it was fantastic! Wish we had taken up the option on the other mornings it was available to us. It was an extra charge for breakfast, but well worth the money for the variety and options available. I definitely would stay here again. Top notch hotel and staff.

Good hotel at excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and well equipped but furniture was starting to show signs that a renovation might be due soon. Public parking garage right in front of the hotel makes it easy to arrive by car.

We arrived early and succeed in getting 3 hour early access to our room. Service staff were very helpful with smart phone activation and access to Uber. As it was raining, we dined at the hotel restaurant. It was excellent and reasonably priced, as was morning continental breakfast. Only inconvenience was requirement to walk outdoors from reception to our room.

Even though the staff was friendly, the location is great and near the parking garage. We had to leave a night earlier because we just couldn’t sleep there, the sound of ventilation was extremely loud and we couldn’t turn it off. There weren’t any water glasses in the room or coffee cups, no kettle, no tea basically nothing (at least a coffee machine was there). For this price we would be okay with that but the sound was truly disturbing. And if the hotel pushes for sustainability-then just put normal glasses in the room instead of paper cups (wrapped in a plastic bag btw), which produce more garbage.

Great hotel in a good location, with many restaurants and sites within walking distance. Parking was very convenient in an underground lot under the hotel. The room was large and clean, and had drapes to separate the separate room for the kids. This was nice because most other hotel rooms we had on our trip had the main bed and a twin bed crammed in the same room, but the Continental had a suite situation. Breakfast was pretty good but expensive for the price.
