Fabulous visit!
This was our second stay at the Royal hotel, our first was just an overnight stay, and we liked Nimes so much we wanted longer and couldn't imagine a better hotel. This time it totally lived up to expectations. It is amazingly convenient for the centre of historic Nimes, opposite the Maison Carre! The rooms are comfortable, the building itself interesting architecturally, and some very quirky and amusing decor. We arrived during the Pentecost festival, which was very lively ☺️. Some features of the hotel were out of action while they cleaned up afterwards, but plenty of cafes restaurants around. The staff are amazing and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was fab. I have multiple allergies and they catered for them really carefully. Thank you, Hotel Nimes, we will be back!

Hotel receiving strong noises from the exterior.
Impossible to sleep, probably because the city was in celebrations.
Room (price: double) very small without space do put the luggage.

Extremely helpful staff. Dinner hour was a little misunderstood. Great breakfast. Room was exceptional.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Plenty of character, in an old building, with an attractive restaurant and breakfast room. Helpful, efficient staff on reception. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a double window overlooking an attractive square at the front of the hotel. It’s a popular place in the evenings, with lots of people enjoying meals, drinks and music. Breakfast is served on a tray and brought to your table in the breakfast room. I wasn’t a big fan of this and found it too repetitive by the fourth day. Definitely more choice with a buffet style option. The location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing and visiting all the main points of interest in the very attractive and peaceful town of Nîmes.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. The room was small but comfortable. Breakfast for purchase was very generous amount of food. Ask for a room on the quiet side of hotel if you’re noise sensitive.

I was staying in the standard room which was fairly small (small desk available) - cleanliness on point. Coffee machine available but no kettle to boil water and make some tea.

Great location great hotel with very decent price. Not the first time not the last for sure.

Supremely comfortable hotel. Big room, comfy bed, really liked the mix of a historic building and the funky decor. V busy terrace restaurant outside, but really quiet at night for sleeping. Really good breakfast, generous spirit, friendly people who run it. A minor point but our bathroom could have been a bit better - better arrangement for showering, maybe hooks on back of door for drying towels, note for saying how to let staff know you wish to reuse towels etc - but no biggie, would highly recommend this hotel.
