Le Pré Galoffre in Nimes

visited Le Pré Galoffre for a couple of nights whilst on a work trip in the area. I found the hotel to be of good quality, with very good service throughout. They kindly offered to prepare an early breakfast to accommodate our early departure, which was much appreciated. The setting is pleasant, and the tree-lined driveway up to the entrance makes a very nice first impression. Breakfast was good, with a nice continental selection. The rooms were decent, although they lacked heating, so I imagine they could feel a little cold in winter. The main drawback was the bathroom design, as water from the shower tends to spill onto the floor unless you angle it carefully. That is a minor design flaw rather than a major issue, though.

Not easy to find and the entrance is abrupt when there are cars behind and pushing on. Maybe a slightly more visible sign that is visible from a distance? But the feeling of peace and tranquility that comes when I drive in under several hundred year old trees that shade nicely from the sun is nice. Some years ago we were in Cuba and this place gave me the same feeling, especially when the outdoor dining for dinner was outside, with an outdoor kitchen with beautiful lighting. Room no. 110 was small, but had everything you need and all the space can be used, here also came the feeling of Cuba. When the shower was used we discovered that the water did not go down the drain, but came out all over the bathroom floor and started to flow into the room. I dried myself up with a towel that I wrung the water out of in the bathroom, while I was doing this I touched the toilet paper holder and the toilet paper with the holder fell down. Found the screw that was supposed to hold the hook for the paper roll on the floor. (Those screws should not be tightened and must therefore be fixed with loctite) Fortunately, it was nice and warm in the bathroom and the remaining water dried quickly, the towel dryer was on full blast and that was luck, because it was time-controlled and the clock was set incorrectly. So total Cuba feeling. Air conditioning was effective and in addition there was a good airing opportunity through a door out to a terrace outside. Very good breakfast, but I wonder how they do it with dinner and breakfast when the weather gets colder? Would love to come again. A comment on cleaning, even down in the shower drain it was clean, almost no debris came up with the water. Nice service and everyone, both staff and guests, greeted.

Nice , quiet and good service.Renovated showet ,but unfortunatly there was a slight drop in the bathroomfloor and the drain did not remove water even with little water use..Result:: Water flowed all over the floor and it was not possible to use the shower.I think theynwill fix it very soon. Nice and frendly staff. Good breakfast.

Room was great. Outside it was 40degrees but when I entered the room, thanks to the airco it was 20. Staff was very nice ! Ideal hotel for a stay as I was driving from Belgium to Spain. 5 min from the highway. Only slight minus… wifi was not that great.

Very quiet and cosy hotel. We slept one night on the way from Italy. Highly recommended, excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.

nice charming little french hotel with pool

The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. just a short ride to both Nimes and Arles. On Monday evening be sure to attend the 'family style' dinner put on by the hotel as nothing is really open in the area until at least 7:00 pm.

We had a blast. The food, at diner, was outstanding. Although we don't speak the language very well, the staff was very friendly.

Lovely stay and remarkable quality breakfast with local products. Highly recommended place in Nimes.
