the staff at reception are awesome people. extremely helpful and check in and everything went smooth.

the negative review is not about the people but about the place itself:
*you don't have a toilet/shower in your room, it's all shared. this is advertised as a HOTEL not a HOSTEL.
*the toilets are like those gas station toilets. there is NO tap or water. only paper. there is no disinfectant available. there is a bowl and paper. deal with it. there is not even soap. think about that.
*the showers are horrendous, in practicality. it's clean but really really impractical.

I would accept that if it was

Outside the hotel it was full of cigarettes. The first room they assigned me to was smelling of smoke a lot. I asked for a new one and they gave it to me immediately (the receptionist was very kind and polite).

We booked 2 double bedroom with private bathroom. It was different experience. Payed £70 with breakfast. You need to buy towel 2.50 euros. When you walk in the hotel it’s like prison. Mid of night outside my girls room two started flight badly and hotel called police and the arrested two men. Not good experience
Not good option in breakfast. £5 person breakfast and I paid 4 ppl breakfast in advance It’s non refundable. I recommend never buy breakfast in advance always check options in breakfast time if you like then buy it.

Air conditioning dirty and not working, felt like we were staying in a hostel

Upon arrival, the 2 young receptionists were incredibly rude. They were having a conversation between themselves about how they would be dressed for
A party that night. They continued their conversation throughout my checkin process not even looking at me the whole time..
In the morning the checkout was supposedly at 12.. at 10 i went to take shower and the code was no longer working and the solution proposed to me
By the receptionist was to put a peace
Of paper in the door if i needed to step out to load
My car…
Also the bathroom soap dispenser was broken…

The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos. In the photos, there was space on both sides of the bed. However, the room I was assigned had no space around the bed, so it was much smaller.

On the other hand, the temperature in the room was very low, even when plugging in the thermostat which otherwise made a lot of noise. In fact I had to sleep with a coat on and I was still cold. I am not a cold person, so someone who is may have a lot of trouble sleeping.

Also, the room had no lock. I heard other rooms did have it, so I guess it would be mine. Considering the thinness of the door and how basic the lock is, I didn't feel very safe sleeping on it.

There was a lack of cleanliness in the bathroom and in some areas of the room.

And finally, the noise and discomfort of the pillow did not allow me to sleep all night. There was noise coming from everywhere.

When booking this hotel I was expecting a basic Ibis Budget type concept, but nothing like that.
The only thing that saves this hotel is the attention from the reception, which has very pleasant staff. Otherwise, I would not return to this hotel no matter how cheap it was.

Room type was misleading
There were no private bathrooms as advertised for the room, more hostel room with shared toilet and shower. Towels are for purchase and there was clearly no rainfall showerhead.
