Hotel Bloom in Caen

Expensive for the service, dirty room, packaging of food found under the bed, lots of dust, furniture and linen are of a different time, room very abimee

The only thing that saves you is the situation. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in France with a difference.
It is very crappy environment, crappy...Carpet dirty, the bedspread with cigarette burns...The paper walls and noise all night: music the of to the side, then a few ladies that don't shut him up...Smells like closed and there is no elevator, you might get a 4th or 5th without elevator. None none not recommended

Well-placed in the centre of caen. A little expensive for what it is and breakfast by terrible for 7 euros.

A little expensive for what is offered but people is nice and gentil.

This low budget hotel is very central and 3 minutes from the parking lot at the marina (and many shops and restaurants). And the WiFi worked well. That's about all we liked.

Our 3rd floor room (no lift) #7 had a bathroom and shower so small they are almost unusable. The blanket and bed cover are old and tattered and the breakfast needs help. How about some fruit and eggs or other protein to go with the bread and cereal offered?

Would not stay here again.

Note that if you are choosing between Caen and Bayeux as a base from which to explore the D-Day history and beaches in Normandy and Mont Saint Michel to the west, as we were, Caen is a good choice, but Bayeux is prettier. Both cities have fantastic "Notre Dame" cathedrals, but the cathedral in Caen is under heavy restoration and which kills the photos.
