The hotel is very good, the services are excellent.  The swimming pool is warm and nice.  If there is a gym room, it will be perfect.  Really enjoy and relax.

Children loved the pool. Breakfast was great. Small room, no cleaning at all during our 3 day stay. Limited food service during lunch and a nice barbecue at dinner. Location is a bit of, you preferably need a car.

Free parking, near the town centre, good for road trip training

It's a bit remote, but it's just a place to rest on the way. Don't ask for too much. The price is a bit expensive.

There aren't many restaurants in the area. Parking is free, but there is a gate bar so you can park safely.

The room was quite small, with very little unpacking space (no drawers), so we largely lived out of our suitcases for the three days we were there. We came back in the middle of the first day to find the doors were locked: a sign on the door told us that access was via reception of the hotel next door. On making our way through the dimly-lit ground floor public areas, we discovered no electricity...

It's conveniently located near the station, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is included, making the price economical. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, offering a wide range of menu options. The staff are also friendly.

Stay at Sept2025 for 1night, as a deviation from rouen to rennes. Fantastic, superb spacious room, good breakfast, very kind personnel. Property well located near train / bus station, tram within 50m. Extraordinaire!

A 5-minute walk from the train station. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Nice natural light.  There are many local attractions close by. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. There are shops in the area that seem to be frequented by local people; they are not necessarily tourist oriented places with junky souvenirs.  10/10 would recommend.

Nice hotel, excellent staff and nice location. The rooms are a bit small for a mercure brand and the breakfast was a complete let down. The breakfast was not a full spread, very limited. They have a good parking that is underground and is common to both Ibis and mercure.

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel’s location is in the city center, convenient to many dining options. It is located across from the canal and if your window faces the canal, you will have a pretty view. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

i visited the hotel for one night during my stay in Caen beginning of April 25. the hotel is well located near the touristic area in Caen. other than that there is no more advantage the hotel is providing to it s guests. this hotel is a 4 star hotel, however maybe this is my first time to stay in a 4 star hotel in which its rooms don't have phones so i couldn't call the reception to ask for anything...

The hotel is very big, but the air conditioning is very hot and almost non-existent. The front desk was willing to give me an extra fan, which solved the problem, but the restroom is still very hot. There are no cars at Disneyland after 12 o'clock at night, and there is no one on the street. It's scary.

This is a delightful hotel perfectly situation in Caen Center within walking distances to everything!! The huge castle, the abbey's, so many restaurants etc. Our room was comfortable, very clean and had a unique design. The Reception staff is so helpful and kind. Definitely try it!!

The facilities are basic, but the location is great, very close to the highway. The service was decent. The free parking is a huge plus, especially for France. There's only one restaurant nearby, so I'd recommend driving to the city center for food options. Also, parking is free after 7 PM.

Ideally located hotel, city center, close to everything. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms are rather simple (even too simple), the tam tam stools as bedside tables are not very practical. No kettle in the rooms, not even on each floor, you have to go down to the hotel lobby to get a coffee (early wake-up call). The bathroom could do with more light and a magnifying mirror.

Very helpful staff. Close to everything and especially restaurants like Monsieur Louis on Pl. Saint-Sauveur. Only small complaint would be how tight the bathroom was. A tall person would have trouble sitting on the toilet in the room I had on the 4th floor. But nice view from the balcony.

Nice hotel in a great location. The bathroom was a good size — something that can be hard to find in France. My only critique is that one of the front desk staff, the gentleman with the beard, could improve his customer service skills. That said, I still give this establishment five stars overall.

Unfortunately, the kettle wasn't clean upon arrival, and two cups were taken away for cleaning and not returned until the next day. It's a bit far from the station, but close to the center. There is a luggage storage room. The zasplerie was very late, after 17:00, the first time I encountered this. The breakfasts are the usual French ones.

The hotel is nice and clean. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The room is spacious and the bathroom is clean. The parking just in front the hotel. The is a good park for a walk 2 min by car. To go to the city is around 10-15 min.

Very basic breakfast (even if cheap), broken toaster but left in place by the staff who tell you, "Yes, I know it broke 20 minutes ago, but I'm swamped," and then you see the guy at reception who has time to chat with everyone (delivery drivers), but the toaster is still there and broken... clearly they have different priorities. Shower in room 128 had mold and limescale.

I was so grateful to the receptionist who kindly helped me check in despite my late arrival. The breakfast was also decent. The free parking was very convenient. I will definitely stay here again if I return to the Normandy region.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, 10 min away from the town center. The rooms were clean but the wifi was very slow even though it advertised super fast internet, the breakfast was poor and you had to boil the eggs yourself. When I raised this with reception, the receptionist just kept repeating the password. I explained it wasn’t a password issue but it fell on deaf ears. We were only there for two nights but the hotel was very convenient for parking as we visiting the countryside. Staff were very polite and helpful. I do wish the room had a small refrigerator, just for drinks and medication that needed to be kept cool. Other than that, the room was fine.

Had two days in Caen exploring the local area. Lovely hotel and easily accessible to get out into the countryside from. Parking is ok, but shared, but they allowed me to put my motorcycle in their garage. All the staff were super helpful. Great breakfast, get better than most! Would stay here again if in the Caen area.

Overnight before catching the early ferry Overnight stay before the ferry home early next morning, so was unable to have breakfast. The hotel reception and rooms have been refurbished since our previous visit two years, which has made a big improvement, the corridors are still the same, but the main areas had been addressed.

There's no hairdryer. The vending machine on the first floor doesn't give change. There are quite a few rough people around the building. Still, it's fine for a single adult male.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the train and bus stations. The room was small and clean, but the bedside was a bit dusty. There was a non-removable clothes hanger on the bunk bed, which was poorly placed and could easily hit your head. Amenities were limited, with no hair dryer or kettle. Front desk service was good.

Really nice hotel, modern decor in old building. Not cheap, but fantastic location. We loved our hour and a half in the pool. We figured out the free slippers eventually.

Great hotel, didn’t really get the full experience due to the language barrier , and our room was half way cleaned. The restaurant has no English menu, but the food is amazing , just good luck because theres no English speaker to explain the magnificent flavors they put at the table.

Maurice and I had the “Promenade” (tasting) menu. It was disappointing. The first and second courses were almost identical. The service was not impeccable and - in my view - the menu and wines were overpriced for what was on offer.
