The owner has anger issues. His wife is very nice and calm, but he is horrible to customers. They give us a room and then they want to make us change because they received a booking. The room is a mess, the bathroom flush doesn't work, there is no toilet bin... What are we then? Aren't we customers ? If he approached us with respect, then there is no problem. but he knows nothing about respect and he kept yelling at us and at his wife. He should not be allowed to even have a hotel or talk to customers. This is unacceptable.
Worst hotel in vardzia, the owner has anger issues, screams at us because he doesn't know how to handle is hotel, room are small and the hot water is not working
Verry fine place. garden, rooms with bath. Great breakfast and dinner with great homemade red wine a lot...

This is an awesome place very authentic run by a nice couple that give their best to the visitors, the food is coming straight from their garden and little farm, you wake up woth the view of the mountains where the monastery is located, the river is just in front as well, very nice people, hot water,comfortable beds and beautiful view, food and wine natural and delicious.
Very friendly family, comfortable enough beds, and considering the meals supplied it's steal for this price. Don't expect much in terms of amenities, however. Don't expect to have a lot of private room either, GVALA is great for a place to have dinner, spend the night, have breakfast, and move on, but it doesn't advertise itself as more than this either.
