Where to stay in Braunschweig

We enjoyed our stay; our room was spacious and, given the price, not exactly luxurious, but perfectly adequate. Located directly on the main road (B1), it wasn't the quietest spot. We mistakenly booked for three nights. We arrived a day later, which wasn't a problem at all.

The hotel is just off the main road, which can be heard a lot in the room. The first impression of the hotel was not good and the room did not improve much. The room was clean, but it was the ravages of time. The bathroom would also deserve more care. It was manageable for one night, but I will not return here.

I do not understand these bad reviews. We booked the accommodation because the car broke down, I had some objections to the place through the view of previous reviews, to my surprise the hotel is really very cool. Room clean, fresh linen, towels. The price of the accommodation was breakfast. Not typical continental for which I do not like only good quality ham, various types of cheese. Very nice service

One of the most historical houses in town. Awesome décor and atmosphere. Free WiFi. The king/double rooms are large and very clean. Breakfast is standard for DE. Pay parking only, about a 1 minute walk. I love this hotel and will be back. Highly recommend.

I encountered a problem with the check-in machine, had I arrived later, I probably wouldn't have been able to check in at all. Lucky for me, the reception was still manned and I got the room I had booked, but the overall experience left me with the feeling of 'I am not going to book this place again' The room itself was very small, but adequate for one night. A kettle would be muchly appreciated though...

We were in Braunschweig privately from June 14th to 16th and chose a B&B hotel for the first time. We were very pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and, above all, everything was clean. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice. At 549 years old and located in the heart of the Magnitor area of Braunschweig is this rather stunning hotel. It’s old, really old, so all of the sharpness of a modern hotel should not be expected. The rooms are spacious and clean. As the windows are double glazed, the noise from outside is minimal. A rather comfortable stay in the heart of a beautiful city.

The hotel is perfectly located quite close to the city center but still easily reachable by car. Big underground parking garage is located in a separate building but connected with the main hotel building. It's accessable only by code which you can get at the front desk. Small room, but the price is right. Modern, comfortable, breakfast well-stocked, nice setting, quiet. Good parking garage. Tip: when first arriving put Wilhelmwitorwall 3 into your gps. This takes you to a small parking spot in front of the hotel sign on the side street where you can part while you register. You’ll receive your code for the garage at that time.

I was very happy with my stay here. As always with a B&B hotel the room was spotless (along with the rest of the hotel) and the beds comfortable. It has a good location, so the old town is short walk away. If you are arriving by car, be sure to locate the entrance to the underground parking before you arrive.
