Description

Hotel Deichgraf is a three-star hotel located in Cuxhaven's Dose district, offering a variety of room types including Standard, Superior, Classic, and Suite options. The hotel features amenities such as a restaurant, bar, free WiFi, free parking, and a range of leisure facilities including a garden, terrace, mini golf, solarium, massage services, and a children’s playground. Guests can also borrow bikes for free and benefit from services like luggage storage, laundry, and a tour desk. While the hotel has a swimming pool and sauna area, several reviews note that the pool is sometimes closed outside peak season. The hotel’s staff receive frequent praise for friendliness and helpfulness. However, some rooms, particularly those in the annex building, show signs of age and could benefit from renovation. Breakfast is served daily as a buffet from 7:00 to 10:30, and pets are allowed upon contacting the property.

Location

Hotel Deichgraf is situated in Dose, Cuxhaven, approximately 2.78 km from Fkk Strand Duhnen beach. The hotel is about 93 km from Bremen Airport (BRE). Nearby dining options include Restaurant «Schiller's» just 110 meters away, and other restaurants within 145 meters. The hotel is close enough to the beach for a short walk and provides free parking on-site. The central position in Dose allows easy access to local shops and a quiet environment, though some visitors note the village becomes very quiet after 9 PM.

Tips

  • If you plan to use the swimming pool or bar, check their opening times in advance as they may be closed outside peak season.
  • For a quieter stay, request a room in the main building rather than the annex, as some annex rooms are small and outdated.
  • Consider bringing your own WiFi hotspot or device as WiFi may be weak or unavailable in certain rooms.

As a tourist, don't come here...
Promised an inside swimming pool to relax, but closed too early! When you book a hotel, isn't it normal that you visit the city, and at the evening you come back to the hotel, expecting to relax a bit in the swimming pool? In general this whole village is dead after 20-21h... in the middle of the summer vacation! We even could not relax in the evening on our terrace, because some guy downstairs wanted to sleep? And at the top of the iceberg, we had to pay a fee for visiting the beach.... how is this normal?? If you really want to do nothing all day at a beach village, come to this place. Otherwise, stay away!

I unfortunately stayed here in mid-August for just one night. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted in a far from friendly manner. After receiving our key, we went to explore the city, only to find… nothing of interest. After a disappointing walk and a failed attempt to find a nice terrace, we decided to head back to the hotel, hoping to use the bar. To our dismay, the bar wasn’t open until the end of August— even the pool was closed.

We had paid extra for a hotel with a pool and bar, yet couldn’t use either. The next day, when checking out, we were told we still had to pay a beach tax, despite never having been there. Very disappointing and completely not what we expected.

Short family vacation
We had a great, short family vacation. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and very clean, and the food in the restaurant delicious. The only bummer was that the pool wasn't open. There is an ice cream parlor and a small shop in walking distance, and it was just a short walk to the beach, too. We would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay here. Even though the hotel was full, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Location Location Location
Location Location Location….. 100 yards away from the Beach, very convenient, ecept for fast food, everything is in walking distance. The Room is very small and NO Wifi in the Room, enjoy the 24” TV.Try to get a Room in the Main Building, the Rooms look nicer. There are no real Showstoppers, but for 6oo$ a weekend I think it is a little bit overpriced.
If you are OK with a small Room without Wifi, than this is definitely the place to stay.

Enjoy the breakfast and the Friday night buffet- you will mot disappointed…..

We visited the Hotel in a group of 6 people and were very disappointed with the poor performance. The rooms were small, musty and in the style of the sixties. The cold
Room lighting with a ceiling saving lamp conveyed the mood of a funeral chapel. The
the so-called cocktail bar in the basement was uncomfortable, smoky , with a little friendly
Landlady occupied, and invited more to go.The website in the Internet with the indication of
comfortable rooms, is misleading and raises expectations fulfilled.During the 3-day
Stay was not a responsible person. You don't must have.

In any case this Hotel is its price not worth it. I book regularly for my colleagues and their business trips. I was asked this Hotel, please select. The rooms are old and musty. It smells of old cigarette smoke. The bathrooms have your good time is already a few decades behind and the Service is unmotivated most of the time.
