Hotels in Ellwangen

Alltid trevligt. Rent o prydligt.

Very nice hotel, classically designed & friendly staff. Good breakfast, restaurant is near by. Very satisfied with that place.

Godt placeret, lidt slidt hotel Godt placeret, lidt slidt hotel

Apart from the silicone joints on the shower tray, everything was great!

A clean, good and cheap hotel. Which is very nicely located. Will gladly stay again on next visit to the city

We started by getting is room that was not cleaned. Got a new one so Ok. Small bathroom Sweet service

The Montana Hotel Ellwangen is exactly what it sets out to be: a practical, no-nonsense stopover that works well if you’re on the road, working locally, or visiting the nearby industrial area. It seems to attract a mix of families passing through, people working on site locally, and business travellers. Plenty of free parking right outside the door immediately makes life easy, and the location is...

Clean rooms with a good bathroom. Friendly people and a good breakfast. Dinner is a downside though because of a small menu. But all in all a good Hotel to stay for the night if you have a big trip.

Nice, clean, new build hotel. Easy check-in. Can highly recommend it.

Stayed hare with my wife and 2 y old kids for a couple of nights. Very good hotel, especially when taking the price into the consideration. Helpful staff, clean and silent rooms, broad selection for breakfast and also a good dinner menu. Will stay here again when we are here again.

This hotel is one of the best that I've been. Rooms are big and clean internet is working fast. Personnel is always smiling and ready to help you.

Very nice and clean. Friendly staff in a city centre. Tasty breakfast included.

I stayed there for a week (last week of October 2023) and the room was amazing. Great view, superb food and service. The staff and management was exceptional. I loved the old culture atmosphere and their attention to detail. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again. I was able to be with my fiancée and her daughter, where we ate our meals. Outside, by the old Catholic...

This is a fantastic hotel in the heart of Ellwangen. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their face. The decor is traditional and beautifully kept, it really feels like stepping into the past. The breakfast was plentiful, and the rooms incredibly spacious. This hotel really elevated our time in Ellwangen, and I would very happily stay here again and recommend it to...

Friendly and very helpful staff, excellent location, very clean, cosy and comfortable.

Excellent service, excellent beer and excellent meals at a reasonable price. One feels comfortable and cosy there. 'The spirit is in Ellwangen'. Visit Schoenenberg, the stations of the cross and the old historical church and cloister while you are there in town.

Traditional hotel and restaurant popular spot near centre of town. Been a few times over the years and quality consistent. The traditional Schwabish dishes are my personal favourites especially the Linsen Spetzl with the local beer.Fresh and good size portions. Booking recommended especially over weekends.

Really lovely hotel. Very spacious and well provisioned rooms. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was incredible.

A very beautiful and romantic hotel in a quiet location, yet close to the city. The owners have achieved a superb symbiosis between the original building (17th century) and modern amenities. Historical features are evident throughout, showcasing the attention to detail in the decor. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained, making them incredibly inviting and comfortable. I haven't yet tried...

Very clean rooms with really nice furniture. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend to eat breakfast there, they even make fresh scrambled eggs for you. Highly recommend

This is a beautiful and very welcoming hotel, the personnel is lovely making you feel like the most important people in the world, always paying attention to your needs, and focused in resolving your problems, far beyond your needs. Breakfasts was amazing and the people attending very warm. Room was spacious, clean, nice bed. Definitely a hotel that you would not expect the service and comfort that...

Perfection! Absolutely beautiful hotel. Modern boho style. Spotless property, extremely clean, fresh scent throughout the hotel. Our room is excellent, spotless, fresh and clean scent, spacious with all the amenities at hand. Bed is beyond comfortable, TV has a fantastic picture quality with numerous channels (all in German). The bathroom is amazing, with a heated towel rack. Small kitchenette,...

Hi, I stayed in this hotel for one night this weekend and can highly recommend it. I visited this area to go to a wedding and the hotel did not only let me check in early, but also gave me a very spacious, modern room. Parking was also free and easy, breakfast buffet absolutely fine. I am coeliac and was very glad that gluten-free breakfast options were no problem at all. The highlight of this place...

Very nice experience to stay at this place. From the different options I was suggested before booking, I decided to book here because it seemed the newest place, and the pictures were a fair reflection of the building. It was fully refurbished not long ago, the rooms were quite spacious, and the breakfast was very good, with the option to have cooked eggs. It is located in a quiet area with the possibility...

Good hotel, a little off-grid but good

Nice property. Great breakfast! Loved the Ancient Rome pictures hung throughout the hallways and breakfast area.

Nice operators and really good food

Very good hotel! The service was perfect. The room was fine, very comfortable and very calm.

When I was travelling to Italy I am staying here one night very nice and clean rooms good space the serving a morning breakfast many things to eat this is the very nice and good hotel also so nice I having a dinner

Really nice place and tasty meals.

Booking communication was really easy. Check in was quick and easy. The room was very large, clean and quiet. Although we hadn't reserved a table, the staff found us a table for dinner. Decent range of vegetarian dishes. Breakfast more than enough. Staff very friendly and helpful. Can only recommend to check it out.

Nice restaurant, not too big. Excellent food, we had the schnitzel and fries, which was a big portion! The schnitzel was nice and crunchy! The dessert choice is not too big but the sorbet ice cream is ok. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant. Waiters are friendly.

On the 1st of Advent we were invited to dinner by our son, to the Vogthof. The ambience, as well as the service was first class and good. The only thing I can say about the food is that it is fantastic and delicious. Simply a successful get-together.

Very nice restaurant with surprisingly good food

Very nice room and restaurant.

Its almost close to city, abd very good lobby area

Very friendly staff. The room was clean and provided everything. The location is great, just a 5 minute walk from the train station. Regarding the breakfast, I found that 19 euros were too expensive.

New hotel. Standard breakfast. Near to train station. Car park avail

New hotel. Standard breakfast. Near to train station. Car park avail

Good location with great ambiance. Supportive staff and they serve superb breakfast. Easy access to bus as well as train station.

he front desk staff were very friendly, and the room was both quiet and impeccably clean. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. I would definitely return again!

Rooms are comfy, modern and clean. Mattresses were nice and firm so you can get a good night of sleep.

Nice Hotel, warm welcome, well stuffed rooms, excellent breakfast, parking in the garage is difficult with sized cars.

Small room but clean! Good service

Nice but quite small swimming pool and gym.

Clean and functional. Great breakfast. Rooms a little small.

Freeflow coffee around the clock in the lobby. The free WiFi is painfully slow. Speed upgrade costs 6€. Location is convenient.

Nice hotel that feels recently renovated. Suite was spacious with good kitchenette and large balcony. Shower was blocked which flooded the bathroom with was chaos

Good location and good breakfast.

Great hotel, was spending two nights for a company event. Rooms were really clean, recently renovated, location is great, it has parking for the car and breakfast was complete, will definitely come back.

Nice hotel. rooms are nice and calm place for business trip. Food is good and also you have with kitchen room option whom like to cook by them self. Place is very near to super market & local market walkable distance to bus station & train station.

The hotel room was perfectly clean, with all the facilities working at the highest level, and really quiet. Whether you come for business or pleasure, it's the perfect place to stay one or two nights and have a nice and undisturbed sleep.

The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty with many options. Coffee is the best of any hotel I've stayed (no creamer or sugar necessary). Rooms are maintained very well with plenty to watch on tv. I experienced no issues with the wifi. If you want dinner you don't have far to walk as this hotel is close to many offerings. As I stayed for business...

The hotel states that there is parking but it is relatively expensive, per day it is 14€ underground and 8€ "on the streets". It would be great if the hotel can make this information more obvious on their website. I can only say for my room, which i really recommend the cleaning and maintenance team to check through the sheets if they are properly washed as there are stains there and also the shower...

Great location, great parking hall and very friendly staff. Breakfast was nice and it was available quite early during weekdays on my visit. Will reserve again in the future.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The reception staff were extremely kind and always available, ready to respond to any request with a smile. The location of the hotel is excellent, with all the conveniences close at hand: from restaurants to sports activities, and other recreational options. The hotel offers a small but well-equipped gym, perfect for staying fit during your stay. Breakfasts...

Varm and friendly staff. The rooms standard was normal, and the housekeeping was excellent, so it's definitely good for both a longer and shorter stays, good variety at breakfast with a home-cooked character. The city center is nearby, so a short walk brings you there.

The hotel is clean and well located to get into the centre. The staff were mostly friendly. The young Spanish lady working on the desk and serving drinks in the evening wa brilliant. A real asset to the Estilo team! On checking out I found the lady rude. She tried to charge me for items that were included in my stay and was adamant I had to pay in a very abrupt manor. Disappointing to say the least...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Design & Lifestyle Hotel Estilo and was pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern and stylish design of the hotel. The lobby was sleek and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. The bathroom was also well-equipped and...

Simple rooms, but great breakfast and very friendl

Business trip Friendly staff, super tasty breakfast, good fitness room

Great! The first hotel that I've ever seen giving free drink a day if they do not need to clean the room! Just sounds like, fair! Great and friendly staff!

Great hospitality, I stayed with a large group for work training and the hotel staff was very friendly and they have an amazing breakfast as well as a pizzeria right next door.

We stayed here for one night. The room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable. There isn't much to do around the area, it looked in the middle of an industrial area, but good enough for what we needed.

This is definitely a good choice for a more budget stay. Clean, modern rooms, a decent breakfast. Hearty hosts. Excellent high speed internet. However, the balconies were quite hazardous.

Lovely Hotel with a lovely host. Just be aware that this hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate. The host will make you a great pasta dish for the evening meal. There is parking and there is good WiFi connection. There is no lift and you do have to go up a few flights of stairs. Please note there are only 10 rooms in this establishment but all fully equipped. Breakfast is an amply continental...

Very kind staff and the breakfast were good enough.

Nice view over the city of Aalen

We really enjoyed our stay here! All the staff we engaged with were, helpful, friendly and welcoming…..and spoke English. We had secure parking for our motorcycles, the rooms were spotless, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Although the restaurant was closed while we were there, we were able to enjoy a beer or two in the calm and peaceful lounge area and take a very short walk into town for...

Very nice hotel, with a good restaurant. I took a fish, with local vegetables and lentils that were light and delicious. The staff was helpful, I asked for an anti mosquito device and they arranged it for me, unfortunately I came late and didn't find it in the room. They kept it in the reception, luckily the second night was good. Nice breakfast, with a large variety of choices. The only drawback was...

Really nice place. I was really lucky to have the opportunity to stay in one of the loft rooms. It felt too big for one person but would have been nice for a couple. The restaurant had good and carefully prepared food and the tables neat set.

I've visited this hotel / restaurant for many years now. You're always made to feel very welcome here. People are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice. All rooms have been updated and are all very nice and clean. Also the bathrooms are all as new and have a nice warm shower which is very refreshing after a long drive. The restaurant is also very good and has a good choice of foods of...

Nice hotel, good food, friendly staff.

I had seen good reviews before booking the hotel. But once I checked in, the place really impressed me. It's a calm, quite and friendly place. Very cozy and warm. The best part is that they provide shuttle service which becomes extremely crucial during winter.

Overall, it was nice, I would go again, but only for the thermal baths. The hotel is a standard hotel, but the breakfast is very good. It's far superior to a German hotel, with a generous breakfast like Turkish hotels. The free parking is also a plus. The check-in times are very bad; they make us wait until 3 PM. If you're coming for a short visit or to stay overnight for the thermal baths, it takes...

Amazing service and very friendly staff, we felt completely at ease. Super friendly team and truly great service, we'd gladly come back anytime.

Excellent hotel, Spa, Thermal Pool

Overall, a pretty good hotel. I had a spacious room, but not a good view. Parking is available. The breakfast is quite varied. It could be a bit cleaner. The room furnishings could also be a bit better.

The hotel is on a mountain, overlooking the town at the foot of the mountain. The hotel has many saunas and a restaurant next to it. The courtyard with autumn leaves is still very beautiful, but it is very difficult to access the Internet in the hotel. There are rooms with almost no signal. The king-size bed room does not feel very big.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, everything was perfect

Great family room, fantastic staff

We went to lunch buffet here with our group tour. Food is excellent, one of the best tiramisu I have ever had. Roast duck and tomato cream soup was a comfort treat in a cold rainy day. Decors in the hotel are very tastefully done and very whimsical. Love it

Big new hotel. Design all over. Quick check in. Spacious rooms with a large comfortable bed. Large bathroom with a wonderful rain shower but watch out the floor will get wet! Carpet floors are not my favourite, allergy. We did see rooms on the website with wooden floors but our wasn’t. No coffee/tea possibility in the room 🤷🏼‍♀️ Everyone was friendly and helpful, although a speed course in English...

Beautiful hotel, lovely town, superb breakfast, great staff

The room is comfortable and big enough and very. The hotel is modern and new. The decoration is a little bit dark, but this is a matter of taste. The breakfast is very good. It is a walk distance from the city centre. There is a bar and a restaurant .

Great hotel. Great service. Great design. Great breakfast. Didn’t expect that much of enjoyment from the hotel, however, it exceeded all my expectations. Really good hotel and likely the best in the area.

The staff were great and location was fantastic, I was also impressed that there was a heated indoor pool, but there were 2 things of the room that needs improvement - 1) the room was too cold even with heaters turned to the max, 2) because of the design of the shower, shower water leaked to the rest of the toilet.

Lovely accommodations, charming hotel and location, very helpful staff, nice breakfast.

What a great little town. We has a great time

Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved every minute of my stay. Great hotel in great location. 👍👍👍👍👍

HOTEL DECEPCIONANTE.

Great location in the old town. Nice room and helpful check-in. Head waiter less so. Parking is a hike outside the wall.

Clean and truly historic with updates. Walk everywhere in town. Located within the ancient walled city. Breakfast extra but nicely done.

Really nice hotel, amazing staff, felt the warmth of the place even though it was cold outside

Nice place in a quaint little town. We loved it and the breakfast was great

Great owners and breakfast was lovely. Location could not be better - opens onto a beautiful square but just off the Main Street so quiet.

We loved our stay at Hotel Weisses Ross! Kind and attentive hosts, fantastic breakfast, and old world charm.

Beautiful historical location. Great friendly staff. Liked the breakfast

Please be aware that they do not accept payment by card. We were directed to to a nearby ATM to withdraw the 50 odd euro cash for our meal! While we accept cash payment on food/ drinks under 20 euro it seems ridiculous that would by accept a credit card for something over that. This the first time we have experienced this since travelling in Germany. Also while our meal was lovely we thought the 8...

Have you ever booked a room and found out you either didn't complete it or made it wrong. That was my situation. But, as fate would have it, we made it to The Goldenes Lamm. The proprietor is simply the best. She welcomed us with open arms. This hotel has been in her family for 150 years and you can tell she carries on this tradition with pride. Our rooms were small, but completely adequate and...

Lovely and clean hotel with small parking. Very kind and gentle host. Absolutely recommended!

super breakfast with an extensive selection. very friendly staff.

Lovely old hotel with great staff and excellent food. Beware of church bells at 6am!

The restaurant: We had a good dinner there, very good service. The tipical food menu is really interesting but I'd like to had more wine options.

Wonderful place, comfortable bed, perfect for walking old town.. breakfast was wonderful

it is all very nice, good breakfast, friendly staff, and clean and comfortable rooms, located right in the heart of the old Town. but the room was bare and cold, all white and antiseptic... no paintings on walls, no splash of colour anywhere, no individuality to the rooms (also no water kettle for tea/coffee in the room, sadly). the room could have been anywhere in the world... they missed the chance...

We had lunch here while in Dinkelsbuhl. The good was nice, very comfortable sitting and very friendly staff. The price is very reasonable or even lesser for a tourist place. Definitely recommend this place.

We had a drink at this restaurant on Saturday afternoon17/05, spoke to waitress about booking a tale for the evening and she suggested booking in advance. We had a great table that night, the food was amazing and plentiful, the tiramasu dessert was stunning. The same waitress from the afternoon served us in the evening and was a credit to the restaurant.

Very well located, comfortable, excellent breakfast.

What a great characterful and charming town.

We stayed 1 night, good location in the city. In this hotel only room , no views, we checked in at hezelhof Room is clean , parking our car in the front. We walked to have breakfast to hezel restaurant, because the same owner chain . Good diner and good breakfast

A wonderful hotel, very well situated in the center of town. Great views from the fourth floor, the breakfast buffet was great, and the hotel staff and service was top-notch. Will definitely come back again.

We stayed in Luisenhof. The room was clean and pretty new but located on the ground floor. You should avoid this as there is a lot of noise from the main door when other guests enter the building. Location is very good but be aware there are only few parking spots. Breakfast buffet in the main hotel was too small for the no of guests so it was very crowded and it took time for the staff to replenish...

Always a great stay, very quiet

Always, always gladly. Good location, good hotel.

Charming hotel, in a perfect location. Very neat, spacious and clean room. Friendly reception and good breakfast. A must in Dinkelsbühl.

Good: Professional staff, even friendly. Good heating, quiet place, excellent bed. So so: Breakfast is untypically boring for a German place. They have no concept of Decaf: There are kettles in rooms but decaf isn't an option, even on demand. In a 4 star. Poor: The "hotel" consists of severel buildings in the vicinity. I had to drag my heavy suitcase around the block over 150 m of rough cobble stones...

Was wonderful… lovely breakfast included and amazing front desk staff. Thank you from Canada.

Really spectacular! Great breakfast, great front desk. Parking was a problem, but hey, it’s an old walled city. It’s not their fault. And the value and staff made up for the parking.

Wonderful stay. The staff was helpful and available. The rooms were clean, towels and linens great. Breakfast was excellent in the hotel restaurant. The only surprise was that parking cost extra. Even parking on the street had a fee. Still a great place. I will go there again next stay.

Hotel is in a perfect location, just walking distance from old town. Comfort double room is a spacious room and the breakfast is great. This is a good choice for a hotel in charming Dinkelsbuhl. Check in was a breeze, staff is friendly and restaurant options in the area are a lot!

Very friendly staff and wonderful food. Such a unique atmosphere within an historic building yet the restaurant was so modern. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely loved this place for our stay. We booked two rooms in this super quaint hotel that's been completely renovated with great. wooden beans and modern upgrades to the rooms. The rooms were adorable and had a great mix of new and old world charm. Fantastic shower! The breakfast was really wonderful with a wide selection of options from eggs, pastries, meats and cheeses, cereals and fruit. ...

Nice and clean room! Great location!

This was such a quant cute place to stay. The rooms were very cabin like, but nice and clean and updated. We loved the breakfast, it had an awesome spread and the service was great. Its right in the middle of town, so you can walk around and see all the things you would like. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, the hotel is also very new, very clean and comfortable, the breakfast is also very good, suitable for travel and vacation, it is worth recommending to everyone and give a big thumbs up.

We arrived to our booked and paid for hotel opposite only to find it closed down from fire damage 6 weeks prior and we were not notified! We were lucky to find a room at this hotel with friendly service from the woman at the reception who was very helpful in resolving our dilemma. Our room was beautifully appointed and had a cosy ambiance and high quality fittings and very comfy bed. Sometimes in...

In the heart of the old town. Spacious room, modern and clean

Highly recommend would stay again Amazing hotel. The rooftop pool was a real treat. Room was fantastic and everything we needed catered for. The town is a great place to stay.

Perfect hotel in a perfect setting. Dinkelsbühl is a lovely place to visit. We ate in the hotel the first night the meal was lovely, the spa is amazing, so many different Sauna to choose from as well as the roof top pool and 3 floors of chill out space and free herbal drinks and fruit. Will definitely go again and would recommend without a doubt.

Perfect stay! Wonderful atmosphere!

10/10 would go back! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was amazing. Relaxing, beautiful views, right in the center of town, close to everything. We will be returning for sure!

The Hotel was inconspicuous from the outside but stunningly furnished, and tastefully decorated in the public areas as well as accommodations. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Great money - product ratio.

Nice rooms and great central location - having a Spa in the hotel is cool, but it was very very crowded and staff could take care better of the supply of accessories. Overall, the experience was good (4-stars) but would be 5-stars if the money for value ratio becomes better.

nice room, with very good climate control, which was great as it was super warm outside. Nice terrace (also a private one) and great breakfast.

One of the better places in the heart of the town for beer lovers with a tasty weissbeir and a really nice dunkel (dark lager). Way better than the Weibs brewery around the corner. It's very busy so service was a bit slow but is a very nice place and the food was good.

We visited Hotel Restaurant Zur Sonne on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. The staff was very friendly and managed to find us a table, even though the restaurant was quite busy. The dining room is spacious, and it was clear that many locals and groups choose this place to meet and eat—which is always a promising sign. The restaurant doesn’t aim for fine dining or unnecessary...

We stayed at the Altstadtmitte Hotel connected to The Sonne for the second time. Very quite family room with AC with a good shower and comfy beds. Excellent included breakfast and super lovely staff. Had dinner several times a the Sonne: frankonian soul food at its finest at reasonable prices.

Perfect location in Dinkelsbuhl We appreciated being able to select Room 115 to get all of the features and comforts we were looking for. Our room was clean, spacious, cozy, QUIET and comfortable. The shower was very nice too. The location is perfect for touring the town and the restaurant is an added bonus! Have some great food and beer and walk up the stairs to your room afterwards.

This comment is on their restaurant. It was our first time having lunch at the restaurant since November of 2020 before the COVID lockdown. Even though it was a little rainy and cool day, we really enjoyed our lunch at their outdoor café. Service is great, and food is very good.

It was our first time staying here (all four of us enjoy the town and we have stayed in other places before). The rooms were comfortable. All of the staff were friendly including letting us spend some time in one of the dining rooms before service and looking after us at breakfast and for an afternoon drink. They stored out luggage until our room was available (we arrived before the check in time we...

The room was lovely, service exemplary, and food very good…especially breakfast.

The town and hotel are amazing. Don’t be put-off by the need to park your car outside the city wall. It is free and so easy, and really just a three minute walk back to the hotel.

We would recommend to all travellers. We were very happy with the hotel, staff and the food. There were some great common areas for groups.

Classic room but no AC..........Restaurant on 1st floor busy with good food........Weekend noisy outside in street with windows open (no AC)............parking only outside gate of town walls...

really liked the location, very convenient, for our plans with a toddler downtown, rooms were spacious we didn't like, that it was extremely hot, the rooms made it impossible for us to get a good sleep, or to stay there during the day, at all would come back in winter......
