Euro - Hotel in Kappel-Grafenhausen

The hotel itself and the breakfast are both good. We booked through Trip with our dog, and it was clearly stated that pets were allowed. However, upon arrival, instead of a welcome, the first words we heard were... 'Dogs are not allowed here.' They could have handled that situation much better. Only after we specifically inquired were we told it would be acceptable to have our dog for an additional 20 Euros. The receptionist should perhaps consider a role not involving direct customer service. Front desk staff, in particular, should possess greater empathy. That being said, the hotel itself is perfectly fine.

No air conditioning, good breakfast.

Basic Budget Hotel
If you’re looking for a basic hotel on a budget, this ticks the boxes.
There are decently sized beds, toilet facilities, car park and opposite a good 24hr shell garage and Burger King. A downside was that there was no safe available, and the bathroom lock was missing.

The rooms get very hot in the warmer seasons, there’s no air-con but there was 2 fans provided and wide-opening windows.

Overall, it has what you need if you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep, but if you want more than a bed and hygiene, spend more elsewhere.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and our stay was excellent.

Good hotel, lower prices than the rest in the area around Europa park. There are buses running to Rust from a nearby stop (Grafenhausen Ost) and cost 3.1 Eur. Shame that the receptionist does not know anything. The hotel can also arrange a shuttle, but must be arranged in advance. Burger king across.

Arrived after 07:00 PM, reception still open (till 09:00 PM) for check-in. After 09:00 PM is in nearest gas station. Uncertain if also for check-in.

Breakfast not included to my booking.
But I'd love it and end up paying for it for more than initial price online. (€8 > €10)

Croissants, cereal, fruit-cocktail, bread, variety sliced ham, variety sliced cheese
Drinks: water (still & sparkling), orange juice, milk (& chocolate), varieties of coffee.
Breakfast is a buffet. Leave some for the rest 😊

Service is friendly. Arrive friendly, be treated friendly. Everywhere.

Room:
For solo one-nighter traveller like me.
Clean room, spotless, top to bottom.
I still got double size bed, two blankets, two pillow. (As it would be indicated on booking if double bed or single bed).
Nice carpet, feels good on your feet.
Has satellite TV, window with curtains, bathroom, small desk and wardrobe
Don't have adjustable heater or ventilation

Bathroom is sufficient with towels, shower, mirror, sink, toilet and hairdryer.

As with no heater. I did not experience cold with my warm sleepwear. Even without it, the blanket was sufficient to sleep comfortable.
