Lovely hotel but parking somtimes difficult

Stayed here due to my campervan going down. Was on the way to my campground when suddenly it wasn’t working proper when going up a mountain and had a hard time finding a place to sleep. Everything was closed or was on holiday. Thank goodness my boyfriend did his best to find some people to help us out and found about this hotel that had a spot for us and a bit cheaper as well due to the inconveniences which we appreciated a lot. Stayed here for 2 days for 119 euros a night and the food is good ( a bit expensive but expected at a 3 star hotel.) The people that work here are super helpful and friendly and did their best to make the situation a bit better for us. They helped us on a taxi and garage and other matters. It’s included with breakfast which was really nice with salmon and a lot of other delicious stuff and a sauna that’s opened from 15:00 until 22:00. All by all they are very helpful and for sure if I wasn’t in this situation I can recommend it!

I didn't had opportunity to be in rooms, but on many occasions I was in the restaurant, it was really good experience, nice and tasty food usually traditional German food, beer was great. Limited menu but has a everything for everyone. Service really good with pleasant people in local clothing, really cute.

Amazing hotel, meets all expectations, rooms are comfortable and incredibly clean, fitness and spa facilities, great breakfast buffet and excellent restaurant. Wonderful team of people who all make a stay at the Engel very special. Just a wonderful place to stay or just enjoy the restaurant!

A really good place to stay. Cozy rooms, equipped with all you need during your stay. Perfect service at the reception desk and at the breakfast area. Good black coffee served during breakfast.
