Where to stay in Konstanz

We were a couple and each had a single room at the Landhotel Traube. Overall, we found our stay extremely pleasant. Travelled to Dettingen/Konstanz for a friends wedding. The room was HOT but comfortable enough. Breakfast was reasonable with a cold buffet served in the morning, though not particularly cheap. There isn't a great deal of choice in the local area but for a small town the hotel was good.

We booked this hotel as part of our tour around the black forest. We are an English speaking couple with very limited German. We booked this hotel through *******, which advertised this hotel as English and German speaking. On check-in, the staff member spoke no English , which really tested out German. The accommodation here is simple and very clean. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant food is really excellent. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast and excellent dinners. It’s also very well located very near the ferry, lake and bus into town. It’s in walking distance to a fantastic thermal pool and spa. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice big room, good bedding, unfortunately towels old, frayed and not changed. Bathroom Average. Hot, no Aircon and if you open the window, we had the road, it was very noisy traffic even at 1-2am in the morning and the buses start early too! And someone from the restaurant downstairs was smoking in front of the hotel. TV controls don't work and only 2 channels !

Home-style restaurant with a long tradition. Down-to-earth Swabian cuisine. Good food at reasonable prices. Few parking spaces.

Excellent German food, friendly and impeccable service in a traditional, warm atmosphere. Although located somewhat on the outskirts of Konstanz, well worth the short drive. Not my first visit, definitely not the last visit either!

The bradwurst with potato salad and rumsteak with thinly sliced potato gratin was divine. All washed down with a fresh weissbier! And the service was exquisite. Danke sheun!

The hotel was fine. I would just prioritize reserving parking.

A standard hotel with good value for money. Far from the city center, and check-in is complicated after 10 p.m. because the reception is closed. The reservation number I had didn't work. There's an emergency number you have to call to get a new one.

Good choice for the short stay. Just cleaning staff should be more attractive to prepare the room before guests arrive

Beautiful and cozy hotel, was very comfortable room for our family of 4 people, the location is super good.

The overnight stay was very pleasant. The receptionist was very friendly and gave good advice on nearby places to visit. The room itself was cozy and loved the high ceiling and large windows. Got the parking space in the hotel premises for a small price and was helpful. The hotel's location is very good and has nice proximity to sightseeing places and supermarkets as well.

We really enjoyed it. We will come back.

The City of Konstanz is a busy destination, so it was difficult to get a Hotel Room, but the local Tourism Office came to my rescue. I find it a shame that the reception is only open until 3 p.m. Parking is no longer free.

The place is nice with its high ceilings and spacious rooms. All you would expect from a 3 star hotel with a good breakfast and clean facilities. Excellent to use as a hub if you’re cycling around the area. Only thing I personally didn’t like were the pillows - lacking substance
