Great accomodations, wonderful staff and very pet friendly which was a huge plus. Excellent location, very clean and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the lovely city of Ulm!

What a pleasure to find this lovely hotel on our recent visit to Ulm. We were there visiting our son who is studying at the university and had no idea what to expect. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was good sized and had everything we needed. The bathroom was modern, clean, and quite large. The included morning latte and croissant was delicious, as was the rest of the restaurant's menu. The location was perfect, being centrally situated but in the back corner of the Minster plaza. We will definitely stay here again on our next Ulm visit.

Great little hotel
Excellent location, great service and value

Stayed overnight in May 2025, 2 adults and 2 children. Check in process was seamless, the staff were helpful and it was easy to check in rather late (after 8PM). The room was modern with complementary chocolates, coffee and toiletries. Bedding was really comfortable. We paid extra to prearrange a cot. The towel heating was great, but we didn’t use any other heating as the room was quite warm - liked that we could let in fresh air and use a fan for circulation too. The Dyson hair dryer was fantastic! There was a lift (helpful for all our bags). Location was central with a lot to walk and see. We thoroughly enjoyed the great coffee downstairs at the cafe. We would’ve happily extended another night here, but they were booked out - can tell why, our stay was wonderful.

Wonderful one night stay! Very comfortable and extremely convenient location, right behind the cathedral. Friendly staff.

Probably fine for a day or two
We didn’t want to stay in a city so chose Ulm for its transport links and proximity to Bavaria for sightseeing.
The Abbate wasn’t a very good choice for us. We stayed for 10 days and the room simply isn’t designed for a stay of that length - storage consisted of one tiny hanging rail and one drawer.
Check in wasn’t great. There is no separate reception and check in is at the bistro downstairs. After a long day travelling sitting around waiting in the bistro for ten minutes wasn’t much fun.
We weren’t impressed by the cleaning. The coffee machine in our room was disgusting and obviously hadn’t been used or cleaned for months. Some days the cleaner took away used cups and glasses, some days not.
Ulm is initially a charming little town but after a few days there is little to do and travel is not as convenient as I had hoped, anywhere of interest is a couple of hours away by train.

The location can not be better, The room was large with 3 or 4 big windows on two walls, which is not very common, windows open to the large square and to the back of the Ulmer Munister. (you can see it in attached photo). bathroom is spacious and comfort. There is no minibar but you get every day a big bottle of mineral water. On the ground floor there is the house restaurant with Sicilian influence which result excellent dishes. You get for free in the morning coffee and croissant, but we checked other dishes as well. all were great. the wine in the evening was superb. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We parked in the public parking lot which is less than 10 minutes walking (first we reached the hotel to drop our luggage.). We'll definitely come back.

Great location. Wonderful hosts and loved the cappuccino in the morning along with the cornetta! Easy to walk to everything including the Danube. Highly recommend.
