The rooms are incredible, comfy, high quality, and leave nothing to be desired. The spa is wonderful, the pools are fantastic, and they will even pack you a lunch for the next day to take on hikes or whatnot

Our room (Sonnenrose) was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, clean, modern bathroom and the large balcony had wonderful pool and mountain views, with (lucky for us) sunshine all day

Both outdoor (warm) and indoor pools and saunas were inviting with plenty of towels and places to sit. We tried yoga and used the fitness room. The full board food selection was delicious and the buffet varied every day

This is the second time we have stayed here, and will definitely not be the last. It's a special place, that has not been matched by anywhere I have ever visited, traveled to, or stayed

Above all the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was plenty of local hiking (occasionally a bit icy) and the free bus pass was useful for further outings to lakes and museums

Calm ambience, charming interior, authentic. Food was amazing, so much choice. Loved my swim in the outdoor pool every morning. Also appreciated the small loaf given to us when we checked out

The pension itself is cozy, comfortable, and has everything you need. We had a room with a double bed and a futon. They provided plenty of bedding and towels

There are a lot of modern options as well as Airbnbs, but this was exactly what we wanted. We wished we had stayed longer than the few nights we were there. The view from the front is a postcard in and of itself

From sausages to omelettes to yogurt to pastries and breads to fruit and more. They offer multiple hot tea options and coffee choices. They even have all of the syrup options for your coffee that you could want

The Klamm and other hikes are nearby and don’t require a vehicle to reach them. We saw so many hikers of all ages even in the middle of October. The autumn leaves in this area are just magical

The property is older, but the room was cozy, clean and well-designed. The provided breakfast was quite good, and I appreciated the availability of different syrups to use in my morning latte

The man speaks 5 languages, and the lady speaks multiple ones and is working on more. Their kindness was infectious. I think I missed seeing them each day as much as we missed staying there

There are also buses (we didn'tt use them, but the hotel offered to tell about them in detail). Thank you all for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. We will definitely be back again

The hotel is very easy to find, located a short drive from Berchtesgaden, and has ample free parking available. The staff speak good English and are very welcoming

The room was spacious and clean, friendly staff, good food at the restaurant and not to expensive

This place was beautiful. The pool was warmed and my kids loved it. The restaurant was great and the staff was friendly.

The rooms are huge, very comfortable and quiet and we had a lovely view of the mountains and valley. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we stayed however we found a very popular pizzeria a short drive away

This place is a gem! The rooms are great, the staff is awesome, and the restaurant! I just had an amazing bavarian plate here, amazing and extremely generous amount of food, and the waiter was super attentive and helpful

Location is fantastic as both main attractions of the area (Eagle's Nest and Konigsee lake) are within an easy 10 minute drive and we were able to visit both between our check in and check out

Hotel is pet friendly, allows both dogs and cats and doesn't charge an arm and a leg for it. Staff is multilingual, extremely accommodating and courteous. They cook and serve great food three times a day

We had late lunch and enjoyed delicious pork skishkebab along with traditional Easter European cuisine. Five stars from us as we will definitely return! Great job, owners/operators!!!

Staff were friendly and room was exceptional.

This was a simple place to stay and relax after visiting the area, convenient and fairly close to the areas we wanted to visit.

Quaint, Comfortable, Excellent Breakfast I think the pictures made it seem a little nicer than the actual place. the beds were very soft & comfortable but maybe that's because I was tired from hiking

There is even a small bathtub inside the bedroom, which is a wonderful and thoughtful feature — especially for people who are sensitive to the cold. It really made a big difference and added to an overall excellent stay

It’s a short walk from the nearest bus stations (the 843 bus stop is closer and flatter than the 840), not a big deal except when you have lots of luggage trying to climb up the hill from the 840 stop

We had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The location was absolutely gorgeous and very close to hitlers “eagles nest” (only 15 mins away) and you’re surrounded by beautiful mountains

The rooms seem a bit aged but pretty clean. Breakfast is nice and has a lot of bread and deli options, but dinner is mediocre and quite overpriced. People working the front desk are friendly

from sorting cots, to making sure we all sat together for breakfasts to organising various evening meal restaurants for all of us close to our Hanauerlehen bed and breakfast hotel in Schoenau)

Finally the views from the hotel were stunning and the hotel provided free bus passes to get us into nearby towns - although some of us enjoyed much walking too! Many thanks, Stefanie, you helped make this a unique and unforgettable "big" family experience

It's called a single room, but it can actually accommodate two people. The room is not small and has a balcony. The facilities and hygiene are excellent

Really nice Alpine hotel just minutes from berchtesgaden center, salt mines and obersalzberg. Room was very clean and well kept. Staff is very pleasant and friendly

, there are none, only a bottle of three-in-one shampoo. Since the hotel is located by the lake with the cleanest water quality in Germany, it is assumed that the water in the water pipe can be drunk directly

With it‘s close proximity to the hiking and climbing trails as well as the lake, I have nothing but great things to say about the Explorer Berchtesgaden

The breakfast is simple, but the necessary nutrients are all there. You can fry and scramble eggs by yourself here, which is a lot of fun

We stayed at the Explorer for a total of 3 nights before and after our hiking tour in the region and had a great stay

Staff was accommodating and helpful, utilities including sauna clean and new, and breakfast a highlight

This is a skiing and hiking resort hotel, so the focus is slightly different from traditional hotels

The playground was great for kids and though we were there at the end of March (not great patio season) I can only imagine that summer here is amazing, having a beer in the garden and looking out at the stunning mountains

Stayed three nights in the honeymoon suite for our honeymoon, and it was incredible. Gorgeous room, with a personal sauna, and a giant standing tub. The views out the window from the bedroom are to die for

The price was reasonable given the room size, the quality, and the amazing environment. We would definitely recommend this hotel for families or anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat in the Bavarian Alps

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, providing a diaper pail for our baby, coloring supplies at every meal for our 6 year old, and allowing us to order some To-go snacks for her to enjoy in the room

We stayed in a family balcony room at Kulturhof Stanggass and absolutely loved it. The location is excellent—peaceful and scenic, yet close enough to explore Berchtesgaden and nearby attractions with ease

Loved my stay here! Staff kept my luggage before check in and provided me free of charge a guest mobility card so I could travel around for free! Location is prime between train station and old town

My room was simple but very clean and very comfortable. Complimentary water on room and tea/coffee by the reception. Breakfast buffet starts at 7am and had a very large variety of items

Everything is super good. Bus stop is right outside of the hotel, easy to go to hauptbanhof.

It was a comfortable stay with good elevated view from balcony and breakfast.

Charming hotel of which the oldest part is from the 19th century. It's now three interconnected buildings with many corridors and stairs. The elevator to my room was somewhere on the first floor

We stayed in an apartment. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The view of the river was beautiful and breakfast was fantastic. The bed, pillows, and towels weren't the greatest ever but still sufficient.

Wonderful hotel with lots of charm. Location is pretty good. Only 15 minute walk to town centre. Breakfast is excellent! Staff friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked a balcony room thru Expedia but initially received a non Balcony room. Front desk quickly resolved the issue with a great balcony room. Super clean and modern bath. Breakfast was excellent!

The Hotel is a bit old, but the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is probably the best aspect. It's a 5 minutes drive to the Königssee parking lot

They food was great and the kitchen staff were very helpful. The reception dealt with 10 men walking and staying at 3 hotels and sorted all the problems. Dinner was great so too the wine and the hosting

Great hotel Room was very clean, staff were very nice, balcony has great view, excellent breakfast, nothing we don’t like! Oh , and the half board dinner was excellent, for €29 per person you get 3 court dinner plus salads bar, deluoabd well presented!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Alpenhotel Fischer. The staff were lovely, speaking great English but being patient in letting me try speaking German too. Hotel facilities were great with breakfast being a highlight

Stayed three nights. Great location to walk to the Berchtesdgaden HBF station and get around the area. Clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Very quiet and relaxed overall. Restaurant was very good as well

Then the sun came out which meant we could sit in the outside jacuzzi and look at the mountains whilst breathing in the fresh mountain air- wonderful. The food was exquisite, as usual

Best rates in town and also the best hotel in town. Everyone on the staff was incredibly nice and always very helpful. The food was delicious and the amenities were beautiful. Definitely going back!

This is my third visit here and it just gets better and better. Wonderful location, easy to get to either by train from Munich or a short taxi from Salzburg

The pool area is so lovely, with beautiful views from the indoor and outdoor pool. The breakfast includes an amazing choice with a huge buffet and pancakes/waffles and eggs made to order

Access to the public parking garage is right across the street and there are dedicated parking spots for the hotel guests and direct access to a hotel elevator from the garage

We ate at the Italian restaurant (Einkher) and the Gastof Neuhaus - both were delicious. What really sets the hotel apart though is the staff who are so helpful and friendly

The town has a quiet atmosphere, and the view from the room window is beautiful. Next time, it would be more convenient to stay in the main building.

The room had a beautiful mountain view, a balcony, a swimming pool, and a garden. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning

I originally chose this hotel because hotels in Hallstatt are expensive and fully booked. I researched and found that staying by lake in Grundlee was an option. Unexpectedly, I was treated to a stunning lake view

This hotel exceeded my expectations, mainly because it offered great value for money, and the breakfast was very plentiful. It's located next to Berchtesgaden train station, about a 10-minute walk up a slope

A male staff member greeted me with a "hello. " It's an uphill walk from the station. The room had a coffee pot, a glass bottle of water, an umbrella, and a backpack (available for hiking), which was nice

The room was very clean and satisfactory, and the facilities were very good. The outside looks a bit old, and the exterior is being renovated, but once you enter, you will find that the environment is very good

Stunning location and the mountain ranges are close by including Königsee. There is a whirlpool & a sauna room. Lovely big shower room and a well equipped kitchen

The chef they have on premises is excellent. Our kids loved the pool and the hot tub. The apartment was very high quality and had everything we needed. Definitely book this if available

This is a beautifully looked after apartment/hotel. The hosts Nicole & Klaus are wonderful people and looked after us very well. Gorgeous whole apartment overlooking the pool

There is a pool and hot tub outside, which are heated all year round, and in the summer months the restaurant is outside with patio heaters and sunshades

Food is fantastic, and is consistently some of the best we have had in Germany. Each day a new 3-course meal is constructed, where you can choose between a few options, all of which have been delicious

We were lucky enough to stay here for four nights in the middle of September 2024. Our views from our balcony were beautiful. We slept soundly thanks to the river flowing next to the road
