Hotels in Schonau am Konigssee

The hotel is quite basic in terms of style and furnishings, but it offers everything you need for a comfortable visit. The room was clean, water pressure is good, and there were plenty of useful amenities such as Wi-Fi, parking, and breakfast that you can cook your own egg. The location is one of its best features — it’s very close to the bus stop that takes you directly to Königssee, which made exploring...

None of any cup in the room, hand, shampoo and body soap one 1 bottle, need to take in and out in shower

This is a skiing and hiking resort hotel, so the focus is slightly different from traditional hotels. There are many lockers for storing ski equipment in the hotel lobby, and there are pictures of snowboarding on the ceiling of the room, which is full of sports. But if you want toiletries, kettles, etc., there are none, only a bottle of three-in-one shampoo. Since the hotel is located by the lake with...

Good location, room was also fine, nice view. The only bad thing we could find was the additional charge. The restaurant menu states that you can get coffee and tea with your room pass, which is fine. But you will receive an additional charge when you check out. Talking about mismanagement. Well, if you pay almost 1400 for 8 nights, dog and breakfast, this should not have been a thing. But the...

We stayed at the Explorer for a total of 3 nights before and after our hiking tour in the region and had a great stay. Staff was accommodating and helpful, utilities including sauna clean and new, and breakfast a highlight. With it‘s close proximity to the hiking and climbing trails as well as the lake, I have nothing but great things to say about the Explorer Berchtesgaden

Excellent concept for a hotel catering to adventure travelers. Room was basic but was clean, bright and open with plenty of storage and charging. Sauna facilities for a room at this cost was amazing. Breakfast was also great, egg station was fun, and once again uniquely catered towards adventure travelers. Bus stop is just outside, and lake is a short walk away.

As always we had a great welcome from Stefan and the team. The location is perfect for relaxation (just gazing at the mountains rejuvenates my soul) and walking. I hoped we would see snow and right on queue it did, which was so picturesque. Then the sun came out which meant we could sit in the outside jacuzzi and look at the mountains whilst breathing in the fresh mountain air- wonderful. The food...

What a place! Wooow! It’s mind blowing. Quite, mix of modern and tradition. The view of mountains, sound of birds. You can not miss it.

This is my third visit here and it just gets better and better. Wonderful location, easy to get to either by train from Munich or a short taxi from Salzburg. In summer the bus stops outside and in winter it stops a short walk away in the bottom of the valley. Staff could not be better. They were endlessly patient with my attempts at German and always wanted to make sure we were as comfortable as...

The hotel is a few minutes' drive from Königssee. The terrace faces beautiful snow-capped mountains. You can take great photos without leaving your room. Affordable dinner packages are available. The hotel also offers a swimming pool and sauna, but we arrived too late to enjoy them.

This was our third stay at this hotel, and it certainly won’t be the last. We enjoy every visit just as much as the previous ones. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-organized, with a wonderful atmosphere and a very friendly, welcoming staff. During this stay, I also celebrated my birthday, and the team surprised me in such a thoughtful and lovely way, which made the experience even more special...

Stefan and Gabby and the amazing Alpenhof team make every stay with them marvellous! Fabulous food and a tranquil, yet warm ambience everyday. Stefan’s brilliant fireworks display at Silvester is a highlight. State of art skin treatments and wellness options are superb.

Beautiful views from every widow in the hotel and staff treated us like family we had 6 people and got served dinner for a perfect price. Very peaceful, very mindful. Wunderbar

Great location run by nice Ukrainians. There's a decent breakfast but they don't serve coffee. They need coffee. Coffee shop down the street opens at 6:00 am. The bedding could be improved.

Me and my 6 friends were looking for accommodation for our 3 day in the nearby national park. We couldn’t find a more perfect place. The service was exquisite, to the point of giving free beers on the house.

Love the furniture in the rooms! Great selection of breakfast items.

Staff were friendly and room was exceptional.

Great location Good location a few minutes drive from Königssee which was stunning. Great view from our room window of the kehlsteinhaus. The room was ok, although the bathroom was tight. The beds were comfortable.

Booked at trip.com as €930.12 including VAT tax, but when make full payment at counter staff insisted I need to pay extra VAT tax due not included. No point augment as communication breakdown between German and English. Finally paid up SGD 1546. 79. See prove included

Very nice hotel, right on the Königssee lake.

The service is very poor, the reception service is very poor, and other service staff are also indifferent. There will be someone to greet you from 3 to 6 p.m. You can call us at other times. The location is okay, with a balcony.

5 mins walk to ticket center. the view from balcony is very good.

After we checked into a hotel near Lake Königssee in Germany, it was early winter, snowflakes were falling and the ground was white. The hotel room is a six-person room, overlooking the lake, the scenery is pleasant, and it is truly the best accommodation. The interior decoration of the room is simple and brightly lit, just like a home, warm and comfortable. At this time, there is a vast white snow...

Nice, cosy place with beautiful view

It's called a single room, but it can actually accommodate two people. The room is not small and has a balcony. The facilities and hygiene are excellent. The hotel environment is also quite good, with a good blend of ancient and modern. It's a typical German family hotel. I love it!

Staff was amazing and helpful. It’s a lovely place.

Excellent staff, couldn't be more helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We would love to come back!

Nice hotel and grounds with good friendly and helpful staff and. Very pet friendly. Good parking. Good breakfast, but let down slightly by not having a full restaurant in the evening. Limited bar snacks were good, but it seems a hotel hotel of this size could support a restaurant, particularly as there is not much else around. Overall though very good.

Great overnight stay for a stop off. Had a lovely walk into the town, great location. Free breakfast, was upgraded to a balcony room which was spacious and clean. The hotel decor is beautiful, lots of plants. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the two reception staff we met to the restaurant staff. Bedding was very comfortable and the shower was huge with a seat! Will most certainly return

very nice country side hotel it's a very quaint antique like hotel, every piece of furniture has history. the room is comfortable and has wonderful view look out to the nearby garden. the cow bells sound in the morning is very soothing. it really brings me back to 1900s. the breakfast is delicious. it's a wonderful experience to stay here comparing to a more modern hotel that doesn't have much characters...

Very good hotel with warm, welcoming, and attentive staff. The atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant, and the service makes you feel truly taken care of. There is even a small bathtub inside the bedroom, which is a wonderful and thoughtful feature — especially for people who are sensitive to the cold. It really made a big difference and added to an overall excellent stay.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, there was no hot water for a shower after 10pm on our first night. The WiFi cuts in and out constantly. The free breakfast is buffet style and there is a lot of variety - bread, yogurt, fresh fruits, cold cut meat, salad, eggs, cereal. The front desk is only staffed a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening.

Room is clean, everything is okay. Just don’t eat dinner here. The dinner was quite disappointed, simply take 10 min walk to any restaurant nearby.

The rooms seem a bit aged but pretty clean. It’s not very noise proof. Breakfast is nice and has a lot of bread and deli options, but dinner is mediocre and quite overpriced. People working the front desk are friendly. If you open your room windows just expect there to be bugs that fly in, even on a top floor (it’s normal). It’s a short walk from the nearest bus stations (the 843 bus stop is closer...

This is one of my favourite place on the earth. The view and the place are from a fair tale

A very calm place. Rooms are well maintained and modern.

We went with a very large, 3-generations family of 17 (ages from 1 to 75 years) and we stayed for 5 nights in 9 rooms of our choice. The booking process was complex but incredibly well managed by the owner, Stefanie, who gladly accommodated all our special requests (e.g. from sorting cots, to making sure we all sat together for breakfasts to organising various evening meal restaurants for all of us...

It is very, very beautiful here! People are super friendly and helpful. You can really feel at home here. And there is a breathtaking view as a man enjoys his generous breakfast.

Excellent location, fabulous views, romantic spacious rooms and superb breakfast. Very friendly people. great place to explore the beautiful scenery. Nigel Dye

Our stay was perfect. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the hotel itself is very clean. Views from the room are breathtakingly beautiful!

A very beautiful house and farm with very friendly and accommodating owners up on the mountain. Very good transport links, from where you can take the public bus everywhere. Meaning, you can leave your car parked. Bus stop in the immediate vicinity. Hiking trails and paths to the lake are very well described. Hiking maps and other interesting information about the Berchtesgaden region are available...

The Alpenhof Punzenlehen is wonderfully situated with mountain views and is somewhat secluded. There's parking at the house. Everything is within easy reach, even on foot. The master bedroom is very large and cozy, and the smaller room with a bunk bed and desk has a French door leading to a small balcony and a small window with a view from the top bunk. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped,...

The Alpenhof Punzenlehen is very quiet and offers beautiful mountain views. Our holiday apartment was clean and comfortably furnished. It had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. The village of Schönau am Königssee is beautiful, and the owners were very friendly.

A beautifully situated house with stunning, unobstructed views of the Schönau and Berchtesgaden mountains (Jenner, Hohes Brett, Hoher Göll with the Kehlstein in the foreground, etc.). Lake Königssee is easily reachable on foot in no more than 30 minutes. The spacious apartments are very cozy, furnished in a traditional Bavarian style that complements the historic Punzenlehen farmhouse, and feature...

The walk from the bus stop is a bit confusing. Once you find the small meadow path, though, it's fine. The landlady is very friendly and accommodating. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need for cooking, washing up, etc. There's a fantastic view of the mountains. It's about 2.5 km to Königssee on foot, which we happily walked, as it also gives you a glimpse of Schönau.

The hotel is very easy to find, located a short drive from Berchtesgaden, and has ample free parking available. The staff speak good English and are very welcoming. The rooms are huge, very comfortable and quiet and we had a lovely view of the mountains and valley. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we stayed however we found a very popular pizzeria a short drive away.

Friendly hotel staff, restauarant staff not as friendly. Unable to provide better or extra pillows.

The room was spacious and clean, friendly staff, good food at the restaurant and not to expensive

Extra bed in the room was very bad

This place was beautiful. The pool was warmed and my kids loved it. The restaurant was great and the staff was friendly.

Beautiful property, wonderful food, and a kind staff. Be careful to ask for a room with a view. Our first room was in an attic with no view. For an upgrade fee, they were able to give us the amazing view we wanted in a different room.

We came here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and super helpful. They even packed us a lunch for our long train ride when we left. The restaurant was very good with delicious dessert. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the Berchtensgaden area.

Clean room, good breakfast, but not the room facing to Königssee

Wonderful place to stay for a quick weekend getaway or a longer stay. Beautiful updated rooms.

This hotel was great! Staff was Super friendly (especially Alex!) they were very accommodating and friendly. *note there are no elevators there, so if that is an issue for you…I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect for holiday! wonderful experience

I booked a "Small Double Room with Garden View and Balcony" this time. The hotel is located near the boat station, with the street and restaurants just outside, which is very convenient. However, the hotel does not have an elevator, so it is not recommended to bring large luggage. The space in the room is limited, and there is barely enough space for two large suitcases. Although it is a garden view...
