The hotel is very nice, parking is convenient, it's right next to the Magic Forest and close to the town of Ramsau, the breakfast is excellent, and there's a large balcony with mountain views.

The hotel is very easy to find, located a short drive from Berchtesgaden, and has ample free parking available. The staff speak good English and are very welcoming. The rooms are huge, very comfortable and quiet and we had a lovely view of the mountains and valley. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we stayed however we found a very popular pizzeria a short drive away.

The hotel rooms were normal size and had kids bed available. The bathroom was clean and good. The balcony was huge and had beautiful views of mountains. The cleaning of rooms and the whole property was very well maintained. Breakfast was good and had good options with a very cute pancake machine. The place is convinient with 839 bus which google map does not show as it makes you walk up hill.

The Alpenhof Punzenlehen is very quiet and offers beautiful mountain views. Our holiday apartment was clean and comfortably furnished. It had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. The village of Schönau am Königssee is beautiful, and the owners were very friendly.

The walk from the bus stop is a bit confusing. Once you find the small meadow path, though, it's fine. The landlady is very friendly and accommodating. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need for cooking, washing up, etc. There's a fantastic view of the mountains. It's about 2.5 km to Königssee on foot, which we happily walked, as it also gives you a glimpse of Schönau.

Very good hotel with warm, welcoming, and attentive staff. The atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant, and the service makes you feel truly taken care of. There is even a small bathtub inside the bedroom, which is a wonderful and thoughtful feature — especially for people who are sensitive to the cold. It really made a big difference and added to an overall excellent stay.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, there was no hot water for a shower after 10pm on our first night. The WiFi cuts in and out constantly. The free breakfast is buffet style and there is a lot of variety - bread, yogurt, fresh fruits, cold cut meat, salad, eggs, cereal. The front desk is only staffed a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening.

Room is clean, everything is okay. Just don’t eat dinner here. The dinner was quite disappointed, simply take 10 min walk to any restaurant nearby.

People working the front desk are friendly. If you open your room windows just expect there to be bugs that fly in, even on a top floor (it’s normal). We stayed at the Explorer for a total of 3 nights before and after our hiking tour in the region and had a great stay. Excellent concept for a hotel catering to adventure travelers. Room was basic but was clean, bright and open with plenty of storage and charging. Sauna facilities for a room at this cost was amazing. We came here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and super helpful. They even packed us a lunch for our long train ride when we left. The restaurant was very good with delicious dessert. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the Berchtensgaden area.

Charming hotel of which the oldest part is from the 19th century. It's now three interconnected buildings with many corridors and stairs. The elevator to my room was somewhere on the first floor. The room was quiet and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was nice and served in a room with a view over the valley below.

Well, it's 1990s hostel decor. The bathrooms are new and gorgeous and you can't beat the location- just across from the hauptbahnhof. The draft beer selection was horrible but the food was tasty. A room frig is always appreciated. The road side rooms are a little noisy.

The town has a quiet atmosphere, and the view from the room window is beautiful. Next time, it would be more convenient to stay in the main building.

The room had a beautiful mountain view, a balcony, a swimming pool, and a garden. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. Everything else was great! The front desk provided a map of nearby attractions, which was very helpful!

We were lucky enough to stay here for four nights in the middle of September 2024. Our views from our balcony were beautiful. We slept soundly thanks to the river flowing next to the road. The breakfast that we had one morning was just perfection. We left nice and full for our adventures! This is a beautiful little place just outside of Berchtesgaden (less than 5 min drive). The new owners were very kind and flexible with us. They provided lots of great recommendations. The chef they have on premises is excellent. Our kids loved the pool and the hot tub. The apartment was very high quality and had everything we needed. Definitely book this if available.

We have stayed at Ferienparadies Alpengluhn 3 times in the past 2 years, and we have loved every visit. Each of the 3 apartments we have stayed in have been slightly different, but all very well furnished, lots of kitchen equipment, comfortable sofas and beds. They also all have a balcony or patio with wonderful mountain views. We find it really useful to have the kitchen to make lunches for hiking...
