Hotels in Berchtesgaden

The hotel is modern, dreamy and exceptionally clean. I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness and Kempinski, as always, did not disappoint at all. Everything felt immaculate and very well maintained. The service at the front desk and concierge was impeccable, very professional, warm and genuinely friendly. Room service and overall service throughout the hotel were excellent as well. The...

Nice hotel, but reception staff was cold

This was such an excellent stay. The spa, the breakfast, the outdoor space, the service, the comfort and quiet of the room. Such a perfect getaway to get some rest and recharge. Highly recommend!

I've traveled to almost 30 countries and countless cities across the world, and the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is by far one of the best hotels. First, the location is absolutely breathtaking — you get stunning views from every angle; however, ideally, you need a car since it's isolated. Two, the hotel and its facilities are spotlessly clean and beautifully designed — if you appreciate great aesthetics...

Gorgeous hotel, clean, very quiet/peaceful. The staff were incredibly pleasant, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast buffet was something to behold. Highly recommend if you want refuge, quiet, elegance, and unique dining.

Great view, location, and hospitality

Exceptional Hotel and great location -Best roof top view ever seen. Food at both hotel Resturants was exceptional .Staff very helpful . . S

I did expect the Edelweiss to be top notch, but it is exceeding my expectations. I think mainly due the fabulous relaxed atmosphere mixed with good quality service , amazing amenities and compared to English prices, really not expensive. Loving it.

We really enjoyed our one night stay. Clean and large room with comfortable bed. Wonderful location for exploring this town. Ask for a Guest Card to get free bus rides which can take you to the launching place for a visit to the Eagle's Nest! Great breakfast. Access to the public parking garage is right across the street and there are dedicated parking spots for the hotel guests and direct access...

This was our second time coming to the hotel. This time we stayed for a week. The time went by so fast. As always, the breakfast bar was fantastic and didn’t disappoint. Our waiter was Felix and he was great and helpful in so many ways. Great service! Also our room was superb as always. Our room was kept perfect by Mirajana, she was the best. We loved the the music on Mondays and the street market...

We’ve just stayed for a week and the hotel, its facilities and the staff are absolutely perfect. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the bedrooms are beautiful. The pool area is so lovely, with beautiful views from the indoor and outdoor pool. The breakfast includes an amazing choice with a huge buffet and pancakes/waffles and eggs made to order. We ate at the Italian restaurant (Einkher) and the...

This hotel was a bit of a splurge for us, but we were so happy we stayed here! Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with excellent, friendly service from everyone we encountered. We stayed in several lovely hotels on this trip through Germany, but this one stood out for its wide variety of delicious options at breakfast and the amazing views of the Alps from the pool area. It was also easy to walk...

Excellent hotel! The rooms are spacious and very clean, the facilities are new, and the breakfast is also great. Highly recommended!

This was the third time I stayed with Hotel Schwabenwirt. I liked this hotel because the location was great, next to bus terminal and hbf, also the dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will still chose this hotel next time when I visit Berchtesgaden.

The hotel is just opposite Berchtesgaden Hbf and easily accessible when you have to travel by bus to Lake Konigssee and Ramsau. The breakfast was delicious but they did not change the variety of the food. I was having the same food for 3 days.

Well, it's 1990s hostel decor. The bathrooms are new and gorgeous and you can't beat the location- just across from the hauptbahnhof. The draft beer selection was horrible but the food was tasty. A room frig is always appreciated. The road side rooms are a little noisy.

The hotel is set in a beautiful landscape. It is very quiet and very clean. The breakfast is very delicious, and you can also order dinner until 10 p.m. They have their own restaurant.😊 The staff is friendly. It is located in the city center with views of the mountains. 5/5* 😊

Excellent location, 3 minutes walk to central bus station. Spacious room for us to open our 3 suitcases. I really like the good view at the balcony. The online checkin is convenient and the staff are very nice and helpful. The e-guestcard provided by hotel is trully good, we use it to travel to the sightseeing points by bus free of charge. The breakfast buffet offers us a great variety of fresh and...

Wonderful hotel with lots of charm. Location is pretty good. Only 15 minute walk to town centre. Breakfast is excellent! Staff friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked a balcony room thru Expedia but initially received a non Balcony room. Front desk quickly resolved the issue with a great balcony room. Super clean and modern bath. Breakfast was excellent!

I recently stayed at Hotel Grünberger and couldn't have been happier with my experience. The space was very clean and cozy, making it feel like a home away from home. The lovely decor added a warm touch, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. Convenience was also a highlight; everything I needed was within easy reach, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The hosts were incredibly welcoming...

We stayed at Hotel Gruenberger for 2 nights in September, in room 113. The good 👍 * Easy check in process. * Very clean room. * Appreciated the pool. * Buffet breakfast was great. * Convenient location for train station. * Appreciated the robes and towels for use at the pool. * Loved having a balcony. * Friendly staff. Could be better 👎 * Bathroom was extraordinarily tiny, almost impractically small...

We were in an annexe apartment. Very clean and well equipped, but very dark and dated, and no black out blind on skylight over bed. However, beds very comfortable and breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. Lovely food also in the evening. We should say also that the staff in the bar and restaurant were excellent. In particular Eslam and team were warm, helpful and were a real credit to the...

Good price for location. Quite complete facilities. Good bfast and dinner. The elevator stops between floors. So better prepare if u need to bring a stroller with u.

We enjoyed three nights here as we explored Berchtesgaden. The room was spacious and comfortable. I love a room with plenty of storage area for suitcases and clothes without using up all the floor space! We enjoyed the half board option and the breakfasts and dinner were all delicious! Loved the salad bar with dinner and large selections at breakfast! The location could not be more beautiful! ...

All the staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had! The rooms were very clean, and the food delicious. The hotel is also in a very beautiful location and a central one to both things in Austria and the Berchtesgaden area!

Beautiful setting! Friendly helpful staff. Guests are respectful!

We thoroughly enjoy staying here with our family. Breathtaking mountain views, comfortable rooms and most importantly charming, thoughtful staff, who go the extra mile, to make us feel heartily welcome. Thank you so much.

This hotel was across the road from where we stayed. Only restaurant on the mountain. Food was incredible. Staff the kindest. Fixed my wife and I a “carry out” of meats and cheeses to enjoy from our balcony across the street. Absolutely the best.

Our family recently spent an unforgettable Christmas and skiing vacation at the wonderful Hotel Neuhäusl, and we cannot say enough about the incredible experience we had! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth by the Hölzl and Rauh families, as well as their exceptional staff. It truly felt like coming home to a place of comfort and care. We were fortunate to take part...

BE AWARE~ 1. NOT walkable from the train station! It's gravel and uphill. 2. Front desk has break time! We got there about 1p.m. with no one help us. So we left the luggage at the corner and went to lunch nearby. 3. No hot water/ coffee maker in the room. 4. Ground floor to 1sr floor no elevator

It was a comfortable stay with good elevated view from balcony and breakfast.

Loved my stay here! Staff kept my luggage before check in and provided me free of charge a guest mobility card so I could travel around for free! Location is prime between train station and old town. My room was simple but very clean and very comfortable. Complimentary water on room and tea/coffee by the reception. Breakfast buffet starts at 7am and had a very large variety of items. Special thanks...

I stay at 3rd floor. So hard with big luggage to go into the room. No lift

Charming hotel of which the oldest part is from the 19th century. It's now three interconnected buildings with many corridors and stairs. The elevator to my room was somewhere on the first floor. The room was quiet and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was nice and served in a room with a view over the valley below.

Everything is super good. Bus stop is right outside of the hotel, easy to go to hauptbanhof.

Stayed three nights in the honeymoon suite for our honeymoon, and it was incredible. Gorgeous room, with a personal sauna, and a giant standing tub. The views out the window from the bedroom are to die for. What a stunning place.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights in a suite room, and the experience was truly wonderful. The view from our room was absolutely magnificent, making our stay even more special. The staff was attentive and hardworking, and we truly appreciated their efforts. The hotel was comfortable, well-maintained, and exceeded our expectations. We loved our time here and would definitely consider returning in...

We stayed in a family balcony room at Kulturhof Stanggass and absolutely loved it. The location is excellent—peaceful and scenic, yet close enough to explore Berchtesgaden and nearby attractions with ease. From our balcony, we were surrounded by stunning mountain views and greenery. It’s hard to describe how beautiful the scenery was—it truly felt like we were inside a painting. 😂 The room was very...

Not great for summer, no aircon, or fan available, no room service. Nice property but better for winter I guess as was very hot and just not worth the high end dollars.

A truly stunning place to stay. We typically don’t visit a place twice but I would 100% come back here in the summer or fall. We stayed in one of the “cabins” and it was perfect for our family of 4. The playground was great for kids and though we were there at the end of March (not great patio season) I can only imagine that summer here is amazing, having a beer in the garden and looking out at the...

Nice, new and family friendly hotel with top location. Due to restaurant and beer garden on site, very convenient for families with kids. Would have rated significantly higher, if rooms had been clean. Despite room service coming every day, rooms didn’t appear clean.

Wonderful hotel with pleasant helpful staff. Super clean. Nice pool and sauna. Great food, too.

What a great place. The staff were fantastic. They food was great and the kitchen staff were very helpful. The reception dealt with 10 men walking and staying at 3 hotels and sorted all the problems. Dinner was great so too the wine and the hosting. The menus was concise but plenty of choice for a medium sized hotel in this region. Stephanie and Rachel were so helpful and their support sorting out...

Stayed three nights. Great location to walk to the Berchtesdgaden HBF station and get around the area. Clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Very quiet and relaxed overall. Restaurant was very good as well

Great hotel Room was very clean, staff were very nice, balcony has great view, excellent breakfast, nothing we don’t like! Oh , and the half board dinner was excellent, for €29 per person you get 3 court dinner plus salads bar, deluoabd well presented!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Alpenhotel Fischer. The staff were lovely, speaking great English but being patient in letting me try speaking German too. Hotel facilities were great with breakfast being a highlight. Lots of choice and all very fresh. The room (117) was spacious and clean. The location is on the edge of Berchtesgaden and right next to a supermarket which was very handy. With that...

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Alpenhotel Fischer. Outstanding features were the high standard of service, friendly and super helpful staff, and value of the half-board option (highly recommended-the food was excellent and plentiful). Rooms are large, very clean and well-appointed with a minibar and complimentary tea and coffee, as well as a separate sitting area. We had mountain and forest views...

beautiful, nice food, nice staff beautiful, nice food, nice staff beautiful, nice food, nice staff beautiful, nice food, nice staff

We feel blessed we got to spent 5 nights in this gemstone. The location is quiet, outside Berchtesgaden, perfect for someone who loves quiet and peaceful, lots of parking directly in front of the property, which has an inviting outside area with lots of different outdoor furniture, patio heaters, blankets and even in the colder evenings of October it was enjoyable to have drinks outside. The room was...

The Alpenhotel Bergzauber is really an idyllic and familiar place. Very warm welcome and you felt at home right from the start of your stay. The view is totally awesome, super quiet, very nice beer garden with delicious local beer. Food made with love and it cannot be overlooked that the hosts take care of the guests' wellbeing with heart and soul! Thank you again for the unforgettable time and all...

Beautiful hotel. Great view from the room. Room was great and very comfortable and always clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Owner couple and the staff always super friendly, helpful, courteous, and left nothing to be desired. We look forward to seeing you again next year! Thank you, it was a great vacation!

The hotel is run by two super lovely people, and you can tell how much time and love they invest in the hotel. Both come from the area and always have good tips on what to do in the vicinity. From the hotel you could enjoy the beautiful landscape, but the view of the hotel is also worthwhile. The presentation and the friendly people there made you feel good straight away and the very tasty food made...

Lovingly run hotel. The rooms are clean and inviting. The owners are very warm and always helpful. The food was just fantastic, always fresh and wonderfully presented. The alpine panorama is simply a dream, an all-round successful holiday! We will be back!

Great value: - Comfortable (for a hostel) mattresses - Friendly service - Allowed me to check in late - Great location at Köningsee with free parking - Good breakfast with classical selection Note: - 3.5€ per night surcharge if you are not a member of the hostel group - 3€ city tax surcharge - Bring your own shampoo. A towel is provided - You make your own bed (issue for late check-ins when everyone...

The staff is kind and the room is not bad. The view of the room is good. But there are only few electric socket in 8 person room and the room doesn't have a lock, it's very unsafe. The bathroom and shower is mix beetween man and woman. The location is a nightmare for those wo use public transport. Also in day when I stay there is no boiled egg for breakfast. FYI ; in Berchtesgaden last public transport...

Recently, I spent a night at a hostel and would like to share my experience. Starting with the positives, the rooms in the hostel were genuinely clean, which is always nice. I was particularly impressed by the spacious backyard, which was a great place to relax. The hostel’s location was also very convenient, especially for cyclists, which is definitely a big plus. Unfortunately, there were more...

The hotel rooms were normal size and had kids bed available. The bathroom was clean and good. The balcony was huge and had beautiful views of mountains. The cleaning of rooms and the whole property was very well maintained. Breakfast was good and had good options with a very cute pancake machine. The place is convinient with 839 bus which google map does not show as it makes you walk up hill.

Friendly personal, good price, beds are perfect to sleep in after long days. Overall a good experience. Don’t listen to bad reviews from people who don’t understand the Jugendherberge concept in Germany.

An exceptional place to stay - immaculate presentation, lovely staff, wonderful decor and a balcony with a view of the Obersalzburg. They even stored my luggage for the day whilst I was out hiking.Couldn't ask for more. Thanks again!

The town has a quiet atmosphere, and the view from the room window is beautiful. Next time, it would be more convenient to stay in the main building.

The location is good, near the town centre. There are lots of gift shops and restaurants nearby. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is great. The hotel also provides sauna.

The hotel environment is nice, the rooms are clean and spacious. The surrounding area is quiet. The service is excellent; the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. There is parking available nearby.

The room had a beautiful mountain view, a balcony, a swimming pool, and a garden. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. Everything else was great! The front desk provided a map of nearby attractions, which was very helpful!

I don't know if it's good or bad, I missed my flight and the room was damaged.

Really great located appartment for hiking, museums and mountain biking. There is also a nice golf course just 10 minutes by car away. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms where clean and tidy. Parking just in front of the appartement. We are coming again!!

Nice and peaceful hotel surrounded by nature — perfect for a relaxing stay. Overall experience was good, but one front desk staff member spoke to us disrespectfully on our second evening. While sitting in the lobby with my kids, we were questioned about our room number in a way that felt suspicious and unwelcoming. A small incident, but it affected our impression. With better customer service, this...

A great place to stay. An incredible view, comfortable room and tasty breakfast. Heartwarming surroundings at 1000 meters. The staff of accommondation were polite, happy and service-minded, except receptionist lady. We were checking out in good spirits, but the moment suddenly changed. A receptionist lady required an extra fee from us, because of tourist tax 3,10 euros per person/day? I hadn't heard...

Great Customer Service The hotel is located in small community and very quiet. Very nice rooms. We stayed there to tour The Eagles Nest and it was very close. We arrived a little late and they were great about it and hung around until we arrived. We weren’t real late but they showed great customer service. The breakfast bar was really good as well. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed in this hotel to explore Berchtesgaden and the Bavarian Alps. The hotel is very close to the Eagle's Nest and the Panoramic Road. The hotel is located near the top of the mountains but is only 10 minutes from Koenigsee and the boat to St Batholomew. Our room had a nice balcony and a separate bedroom along with a full kitchen. The hotel is 15 minutes from the town of Berchtesgaden but...

Very nice mountain place in a fabulous scenery outside, and just down from the famous - or infamous - Eagle's nest ... Nice, large and modern rooms in a chalet-type building with the view outside ... except the bad weather/rain we had when arriving ... Nice and friendly staff. Gorgeous breakfast.
