Quiet family hotel with a delicious breakfast

The Seeschlösschen is situated in a very quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a view of Lake Edersee. The breakfast is fantastic! There was absolutely nothing missing, whether you prefer sweet or savory dishes.

The hosts are very welcoming and happy to give tips on excursions or restaurants.

The view from the room was amazing. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good. We were sad to leave!

Not brand new, but an absolute gem. These little imperfections on the balcony show signs of life. I've taken the mattresses out of brand-new 5-star hotels and voluntarily slept on the floor, but here they're great. It's not new, but it has soul and heart. Old-school, but with heart. Sure, there are fancier hotels, but the overall impression is more important, the welcoming atmosphere in the house, which is spot on. Great, quiet location with a lake view. Very, very pleasant, friendly, and helpful hosts. Very family-friendly and also well-suited for singles. With a sauna and pool, the garden has potential for development, but the owners are already planning some new highlights. Not quite 4 stars, but better and more comfortable than many 4-star hotels. The breakfast is good (you can only get good rolls in Groß Schneen, my neighboring village), and plastic-free – many 4-star hotels should take note. I was surprised by the peace and quiet here; you can't hear a thing, even though it's very conveniently located above the lake. The only things I'm missing are a refrigerator in the room (okay, that's only standard in 4-star hotels and above) and a coffee machine for the afternoon, but that's really my only criticism; afternoon coffee is simply a must. Oh, almost forgot, since it should be standard: an e-bike garage with charging station and a charging station for electric cars are, of course, available. Actually, I shouldn't write anything about it; that way, hidden gems lose their secret. But the hosts deserve it. (I've rarely felt so comfortable in a hotel for so long.) From today on, this is my insider tip on Lake Edersee.

Nice view on the nature around

Such nice people here. So friendly and helpful. We have a great view from our room. Would recommend 👌

The stay was too short but our time was also limited. We do plan to revisit this area in the future.

Friendly welcome, beautiful surroundings and clean rooms. Breakfast was good and varied, swimming pool a bit cold but nicely furnished. Unfortunately we couldn't open the window at night because there was no mosquito net.
