Parkhotel Flora in Bad Grund

Good hotel with nice service. Rooms are clean and comfy. There is a kitchen in a room so you have possibility to prepare some meals at your place.

We have stayed at Parkhotel Flora often over the years and it is our favourite place in Bad Grund.
The Roos are spacious and clean and the hotel offers sauna in their premises. The pool is just opposite the road and the hotel is conveniently located to the hiking- and mountain biking trails.

Our absolute favourite is the assortment of cakes, that can also be ordered takeaway and enjoyed somewhere along the hike - that’s quality!

Fantastic staff, our 2 evening meals here were unforgettable, a fabulous experience. Our apartment was a little dated but extensive rebuilding work has recently started. Can't wait to come back.

deluxe room for 3 adults was huge, having 2 bedrooms with big beds, 2 showers and a living room/kitchen. Particularly this room has also been renovated just recently, very fresh and clean (don’t know about other rooms).it has everything you need even for a long stay, except for washing machine, but there’s a dish washer. Sauna included in the price. children and pet friendly,great option for the price. very clean, good breakfast. Delicious crepes. Perfect views around. The restaurant was pretty good to. I guess the best place to eat in the town. Highly recommend!

1) Friendly service, seems family run
2) Breakfast is tasty and plenty
3) Rooms are big, although in a bit outdated 90s style
4) Price is ok-ish, at the upper limit
5) Nice amentities, like visit to the pool opposite the street, or the Kneipp-cure-basin in the beautiful garden.

So far so good and that's under the influence area of the hotel. However you need to be aware that the average age of guests seems 60/70+, so if you come with a family you might feel disappointed. And that's very unfortunate, as the hotel and the surrounding region is beautiful.

However a good example was at breakfast where we wanted to choose a table. An older lady entering the room a moment later immediately literally shouted "THAT'S MY TABLE!". Well, welcome to Germany.. (interestingly enough, the lady seemed otherwise friendly, however the Germans seem to have a strange way to 'booking' things which they shouldn't.. Sorry no sorry). Again, not under the influence area of the hotel, but it doesnt help to attract young people to the hotel.

Rooms are very nice, personnel is friendly, tasty breakfast and diner!
Will certainly visit this place again!
