Very friendly staff.

The room is unfortunately much smaller than the pictures suggest.

There was hair and some crumbs on the floor.

There are many signs of wear and tear on the walls.

The room looks dated.

Not the worst room in itself, but I expected more for the price.

Well, the reviews were a bit mixed, but we still went there with our grandchild and were generally pleasantly surprised. It would certainly have earned a higher rating if the need for renovations weren't so obvious. In any case, it's clean and you can sleep well. Sure, the whole place is stuck in the 70s, but it's very affordable. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast. I haven't had freshly baked rolls in a hotel in ages. And dinner was also good and plentiful. We were satisfied. The staff always had everything beautifully prepared. The small swimming pool was perfectly adequate and we used it frequently. It was a shame, though, that some older guests went on holiday with a certain underlying dissatisfaction and made sure everyone, especially the staff, knew it. Then they wrote ridiculous reviews. Here's a simple suggestion: just stay home, then you won't have to get worked up about little things. Thank you for the lovely short break, and also a piece of advice for the owner: you need to do some structural work, even if it's difficult, otherwise you won't survive the next 5 years, and that would be a real shame!

Small rooms, and a bit noisy. But the service, scenery and the spacious garden make up for it!

We booked 3 rooms here, but because of personal reasons one of our group couldn’t make it. We wanted to cancel the whole trip so we messaged the hotel. They said they could cancel the rooms if they got booked by someone else, and that they would message us when this would happen. They never messaged us so our group went with one person less (the one who couldn’t make it). When we came to the hotel they told us the rooms got booked by someone else. The person at the reception told us it wasn’t their problem and we simply had to leave. Just as rude as that. They did not noticed us so we couldn’t have known that the rooms got booked. We’re from the Netherlands and driving back wasn’t an option anymore since it was already quite late. This forced us to book somewhere else. Luckily *********** helped us nicely and it didn’t cost us any extra money, so thanks to the good service of ***********. Obviously I posted a bad review on *********** since the hotel caused us quite some trouble. We had to drive an hour extra and we had to go through quite some trouble to get a place to sleep. A few days later I got a reply from this hotel that if I don’t delete my review they will report me. So instead of apologizing they just try to intimidate me. I think that says enough about the mentality of the people running this hotel. We figure this hotel just wanted to get double revenue from us and the people they booked the rooms after us. They probably thought we wouldn’t show up anymore and by not messaging us they would still get our reservation money. Too bad for them we still showed up. Show some hospitality, you’re a hotel. Don’t go intimidating when people aren’t satisfied with your organization, try to help them. Shouldn’t be that hard
