Super Hotel.

The rooms are far too expensive for what they offer. No breakfast, no reception, no room cleaning – this is not up to hotel standards.

The furnishings are very basic, and the bathroom desperately needs a deep cleaning and a new shower.

Check-in is done through the Moments Restaurant instead of at a reception desk – very inconvenient.

The rooms are extremely noisy; doors are regularly slammed loudly at night, and you can hear every conversation. A kettle with tea does nothing to improve the poor quality of sleep.

I rated the service so poorly because our room, booked a year in advance, was no longer available upon arrival, despite prior telephone confirmation from the hotel. They offered little assistance in finding alternative accommodation. This is extremely difficult when you suddenly find yourself in an unfamiliar city without a place to stay!

"Very good location in the heart of the old town. Reasonable price, very friendly staff, very comfortable beds."
"The hotel could use a bit more maintenance. The entrance to the hotel seems a bit dingy. The tea/coffee station in the room wasn't cleaned. There were still used glasses lying around from the previous guest. The blackout curtains were poor, and the light from the neon sign unfortunately shines strongly into the room."

The hotel room is rustically furnished, in keeping with its location in the old town. The bed is very comfortable. While there's no reception, the staff at the Moments restaurant are very friendly. (There will be a separate review for this restaurant.) The room is clean upon arrival. Unfortunately, contrary to the information online, there's no TV. But that wasn't a problem; I don't watch TV. Overall, there's nothing major to complain about, and I'll be happy to return.

Not recommended: The hotel is difficult to find (small signs), the sinks in both rooms were damaged, one had no remote control for the TV, the shower had hardly any water pressure. Curtains and blinds were torn off, the outside lighting was broken (dangerous as there was a step in front of the entrance). The trash can in the bathroom had not been emptied, there were still used towels hanging there. There is no reception. You have to register in the bar next door. There are also no parking spaces at the hotel. Conclusion: Not again.

That was an absolute letdown!
Looking for a night's rest in vain - extremely loud music in the "Moments" below (same operator) and noise from employees and guests on the street until the early hours of the morning. It wasn't until a quarter past four that the ghost was over - but with it the night too. The employee's reaction was particularly bitter when at a quarter to four he took note of the complaint from the window with a disinterested shrug and half-heartedly admonished his friends to turn down the music on the street. That completely ruined the reception at lunchtime, which was actually felt to be very nice. NEVER AGAIN this hotel !!!!

I have to join one of my previous reviews: if you want to sleep, you don't have to try it here on the weekend.

When I made the reservation, I pointed out that I wanted a quiet room. That was a week before.
After reading the reviews, I called again and was assured that you wouldn't hear anything about the bar in the rooms.

When I checked in, I also expressed my concerns, but the southern European-looking 'guy' from the bar who spoke in casual German slang, who made the reception, assured me that it wasn't that bad anymore and was only a little exaggerated at the beginning. In the meantime you would have it under control and it would no longer be so loud.

When I wanted to go to bed at 1 am, the whole room shook from the bass of the bar, which had apparently set up the speakers that the specially ordered DJ had brought with me right under the room in which I was supposed to sleep. 😑

That alone would be worth a 1 star review. The inability to admit when making the reservation and also to multiple inquiries that it gets loud. The sheer lies at check-in that you have it under control. The music itself. Everything together is an absolute no-go!

They got a star because they settled down relatively quickly after doing terror in the bar twice.
In the end, the only thing that annoyed me at night was the hum of the air conditioning / ventilation right in front of the room window.

Next time I'll try it at Hotel Borchers. There are also rooms from 58 € as I googled last night.

First of all, this is not a hotel and that is a fraud, because this designation requires, among other things. a reception and a breakfast. Guest rooms would be more likely and would also be more serious.
It was probably a hotel once, in earlier times and unfortunately that's how the rooms look. Blinds that cannot be pulled up or down and one of them is completely broken and only hangs down by a thread. Lamps that don't light up and the bathroom is old, so in need of renovation. The hammer, however, is the price of 80 euros for an overnight stay, completely excessive.
The house is in the middle of the old town and the rooms above a bar, i.e. it is very loud for a long time (4 a.m.), so sleep is not an option, let alone open the windows.
I can't understand the good reviews at all. What would DEHOGA say about it?
