Clean but Restaurant Closed and No Drink in Room
We stayed for one night. Unfortunately after a 6 hour drive we arrived to find no one at reception. Waited 5 minutes and someone arrived. The restaurant we were told would be closed ao we had to go driving around to find something to eat after driving all day. Everywhere close by was closed so we had to travel further out to find something. Alsp no tea or coffee in the room. So nothing to drink after travelling all day. Other than that the hotel was picturesque. Breakfast the next morning was ok. Eggs were cold but everything else was fine. Room was nice and clean and hotel nice and quiet. Would have been much better if the restaurant had been open and something to drink inside the room.

Very friendly and cosy hotel, close to the motorway but still in the beautiful area of Harzen. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was very good both in the restaurant and at breakfast. Especially the Balkan specialties were delicious. Rooms were clean and cosy, and with a beautiful view of the Harzen landscape. We had 2 rooms - double and family. The family room is newer and everything was nice. Good beds. The double room was a bit older but cosy and functional. However the bed was not very nice. The mattress was old with the springs peaking out and no top layer. We would happily return, but would book 2 family rooms.

Very nice place, nice personnel and good food. Everything was good, we enjoyed our stay there. We will be happy to come back there.

We stayed there with the whole family for a few days. The hotel is in a great location. Quiet location with a beautiful view. Free parking spaces are available in front of the house. The rooms were clean and big enough. The only downside was the division. We had a connecting family room and had to go through the daughter's room to get to the bathroom. The breakfast was good and the attached restaurant was delicious. Also the staff was super friendly. Loved it there and definitely recommend it. Value for money.

Yes, the restaurant has remained standing somewhere decades ago - but that's exactly what makes it so appealing !!
The taste of the dishes offered is very good - nostalgic, of high quality, prepared with love like "from the past". I think it's great. Thanks for that !

Already one hour before the closing time at 7 p.m. they didn't want to serve us anymore.
Since we only wanted an ice cream sundae, we got it.

Definitely worth a visit. Especially when wanting to visit the Harz. The hotel rooms are great. That is in terms of size and looks. They offer a good high resolution Flatscreen and a big kitchen. There are also 2 bedrooms, each having 2 separate beds. A free breakfast is included and if you feel like it it's possible to eat dinner there as well; on your own expense. The rooms are clean and everyday it gets cleaned by a maid. It's not far from any of the important sightseeings and, when talking from the room I was in, the windows have a great sight. The bathroom is were the problems lie. The shower is very weird. The warmth of the water varies from warm to cold on its own. Doesn't matter what you chose. The toilet paper holder (?) is very sensitive. Meaning that it breaks apart just by looking at it. Last complaint would be that the towels stink really bad. Though that isn't that much of a big deal. All in all a pretty solid hotel. Would book again. 4/5
