The hotel's charm has diminished. As a regular guest, we were given a room with a view of the spa roof; we had booked a room with a garden view. There was no regular discount, nor was there any explanation. The service in the rooms has declined. On two days, the beds weren't made, but there was a card on the bed. At least the towels were changed. That's not four-star! The price for these inferior services...

Very nice and quiet hotel in the middle of the town. We were there with our 2 kids and we were one of a few families. Mostly elderly people so we had most of the pool and spa for us self.

I had the best time in every aspect. The view was great, and most of all, I was able to relax in the sauna and pool. The breakfast was also satisfying, with classic German options.

A very good hotel, but the point deduction is due to the inconsistent handling of smoking on the breakfast terrace and balconies. Smoking was permitted on the terrace during breakfast at certain times. As a result, smokers and non-smokers sat about 1 meter apart, despite the non-smoking table. It was also impossible to sleep with the terrace door open, as smoking was permitted on the balconies. This...

The service staff at the Captain's Bar need to be more organized. The service staff at the "Alte Post" is snippy, but that's her style.

We stayed in room 418 for 6 days. Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in the room. There was on the balcony and in the hallway, but what was the use? We informed reception on the first day. Unfortunately, the problem had not been remedied by the time we left. The mattresses were extremely worn. You'd roll out of bed if you weren't careful. The food was excellent. Nice resort in an excellent location, 15 mins walk to the sea. The buffet breakfast was great with a lot of options. The Deluxe Double Room we stayed in was quiet, we had a peaceful time.

Clean, on the beach… I was in room 2112 for a Monday-Saturday stay (Sommer 2024). A great place to hang out, much space on the beach to stretch out on. And plenty of those big basket things to rent where one can sit in… though I really don’t understand that. Back in the room, if one stepped out onto the small balcony, the Baltic was visible to the left. Probably still is… 😎 I had a bike with me...

Am schönsten hat mir die Strandnähe und das Frühstück gefallen. Sehr schön ist ebenfalls dass alles barrierefrei zu erreichen ist. Was auch nicht immer selbstverständlich ist, dass ein Pool und mehrere Saunen zur Verfügung stehen. Sehr vorteilhaft sind auch die Tiefgaragen.

Wir hatten vier Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht und sie langen auch direkt nebeneinander. Schon das einchecken verlief problemlos, sie haben genügend große Parkplätze und auch beim ausladen kann mann direkt vor dem Hotel parken. Leider finde ich die 17,50 € im Gegensatz zu letztem Jahr etwas überzogen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend. Auch beim Frühstück fehlte es an nichts. Die Bar ist auch immer...

Good breakfast, extremely quiet, good Location. Value for Money.

We booked a junior suite and they upgraded us to give us more comfort to a suite with separate children accommodation in bunk beds for them. They loved it as well as the little presents they received. The bistrot area has a nice terrasse and sea view. Very reposing stay.

Most of the visitors of the place are returning clients, which gives it very special German atmosphere. Nice beach around, spacious spa with nice view. Though a bit old. Spa resting room could have had a bit more comfort, especially in Sauna area. Quite nice hotel overall.

We had a great stay, the service in the restaurant was sometimes slow and the interior design is somewhat outdated - but that´s just a personal preference. The location is fantastic and the offers for kids are great. We had a really relaxing stay!

During my 3-week cure in Bad Bansin in 2012, I was a guest at the Hotel Bergmühle. I had booked a single room but as it was off season in March I had been upgraded to a double room by the hotel owner for the same price and was very happy with that. I was picked up by the driver from the train station and driven back. Since the hotel is a bit away from the town center, I couldn't even walk with my luggage...

Very friendly employees and boss, everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was varied and very good, as there was a good selection of dishes at dinner that were also very cheeky. We felt comfortable and the pool was a great addition. We'd love to come back

A very great hotel and very friendly staff, breakfast was very good every day and I liked everything else too. We decided on it very spontaneously and luckily got a room at a good price. Highly recommended.

I have been to the Strandhotel Ostseeblick four times. Now for the first time 1 week. It was great as always. The staff no matter in which area is so friendly and competent. Seldom seen like this. It's a shame that the wellness area was closed this time. (Due to renovation) That was, among other things, the reason why I wanted to go back to the hotel. Great hotel, super nice staff. For the second time here after 2019 and we are spending the time of our wedding anniversary and birthday here again. We feel comfortable here. Great location and today a great and very tasty menu in the restaurant. Refined but not too candy cuisine.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very welcoming. Our room was large, with an outside balcony. The room was at the back of the building, so the view wasn't fantastic. The bathroom was very small, with no bath, just a shower. The room was very clean, the heating was good and the bed was comfortable. I always stay at this hotel when I visit Usedom, no problems. Clean, really good staff, and a great location. I can walk along the beach in both directions. Of course, a great kitchen. I wrote about my experiences on the island in Black and Paper.com. This year it was a bit strange cause of you know what, but it did not takeaway from the holiday. I just made the most of it and had a great time.

Very comfortable and located in a scenic area

We went there for dinner with two small children aged 4 and 6. We had no reservation - every other restaurant seemed to be closed due to vacation - neither were we guests of the hotel and it was december 22nd. We felt that much welcome the it was a pure pleasure. The service was more than excellent. The dinner was good and we were happy. Thanks a lot for that nice unplanned evening!

We love this hotel. Very friendly staff. The facilities make the family stay a very pleasant experience: pools and sauna, bar and kids activities. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dining... Our highlight is the winter garden, where you can see the sunset and enjoy a warm environment to end up the day around a family game, a book and or a drink. Really liked the hotel and its quality even though the interiour was a bit old school and audience rather older, it was the right type of setting for a calm visit in late summer. Had a really nice stay on this beachfront hotel during easter. Location is very good. We stayed in a family studio. It was spacoius and fresh. Breakfast was good. Spa area with a variety of saunas was clean and well maintained and so was the outside pool.

Very nice hotel from the grounds to the pool to the very good breakfast. Also the room is nice, although there was a damp smell in the bathroom all the time. The bummer - and not acceptable for a 5 star hotel - is the room cleaning: Randomly replaced towels but the worst: the bedsheets have NOT been replaced once during the 4 night stay! Something not acceptable at all let alone in a 5 star hotel!...

Had a very comfortable stay here at the grand. The buffet breakfast was up with the best we have had around the world. Omelettes made to order, multiple freshly made juices, heaps of hot and cold choices. Also had a great club sandwich at the bar the evening before. I would always visit again, but the restaurant and one room or another needs an overhaul. No elevator in some buildings. Very friendly and attentive Staff. Close to the beach and the promenade. No Salmon at the breakfast buffet as far as I could discern.

Walking street near the beach

Perfect location We had a small but tastefully decorated room with a small balcony towards west with beautiful evening sun. The only thing we were missing was air-condition. The air in the room stod absolutely still. Even with the balcony door wide open we didn't manage to get some air circulation. A big plus for the breakfast and the spa with the infinity pool.

I travel extensively internationally. This was one of THE best equipped rooms and facilities I have experienced anywhere. The location is excellent for walking,shopping and the beach. The rooms were super-well equipped and the staff very helpful. We loved the infinity pool overlooking the beach!

We spent absolutely wonderful time in the Ostende hotel in the Penthouse room. The hotel has been recently renovated, it is modern and well designed with top quality amenities. It is small enough to give the feeling of cosiness and friendliness, we felt very welcomed. The food in the restaurant is great! This was one of the best vacation experiences we've ever had. I would recommend to request the 5th floor. There is a mini golf course directly in front of the hotel and the noise level is high into the night. The advertised pool was out of order, but we got a coupon for a nearby indoor pool. Unfortunately very crowded. If you want piece and quiet, look somewhere else.

Spend 2 nights here in August, area is quiet, Hotel owns a golf parcour, little pond and a bigger lake are close by (many mosquitos). Room itself was spacious, bed was comfortable, but air vent was noisy inside the walk-in closet which had no door. Slippers needed to be asked for from the friendly reception staff. We only had breakfast there and ate once warm from the evening menu. Breakfast menu perfectly adequate and varied. Partly with delicious regional sausages. The dishes (had pikeperch fillet fried on the skin, excellent matjestartar as a starter) were of a high standard, both in terms of preparation and presentation (you should definitely try the seasoned meat). A very clean hotel. Very nice staff. I would love to come back :) It was rather negative that the showers are bad, because unfortunately everything in the room gets wet (despite the curtain). That is of course annoying. For me the choice of breakfast was too little. One could offer a little more food.

We actually booked an apartment with a fireplace. However, this was not possible to obtain. As compensation we received an upgrade with a sauna and whirlpool. Everything you needed to feel comfortable was there. We can't understand the bad reviews every now and then. Highly recommended. The apartment offers enough space and is well equipped. The hit is your own sauna. The swimming pool on site is also ideal for children to run around in. The leisure options are good. The small café where you can get a hearty breakfast is great. This is an advantage, especially on the day of departure. Nice staff We were completely satisfied.
