Great value for money. Of course the bathroom is small and the room is basic. Staff were friendly, quick check in and check out! A/C not great but did cool rhe room eventually!

An acceptable low-budget hotel, everything you need – and nothing more. If it weren't for the 30 degrees Celsius in the room and the not-quite-working air conditioning, the night might have been quite acceptable.

Simple hotel. Room is pretty small. Has everything you need, but nothing else.

Absolutely great service at the hotel, great location for walking, boat trip etc. If your by car ask about parking ticket in the reception, 3 days costs 12€.

Stayed here last year and returning this year, an excellent comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Bernkastel-Kues is an exquisite place to visit loads of bars and restaurants and boat trips a must!

Beautiful room with Outlook to Mosel

This property was a little further out but it was very easy to navigate your way into the center of town-we walked to everything from this hotel! The staff were excellent and the hotel breakfast was the best we had in our travels. We traveled by bike and they had hotel storage and early check in. Would definitely stay again!

We found the accommodations AOK. The rooms are modern and complete but nothing to write home about. We had a view of the parking lot and our bikes were in safe storage. it was very quiet hotel, We walked to and from town no problem. The breakfast was nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Amazing food. It is a bit away from the centre, but it is totally worth it. Very quite, tranquil, very comfortable rooms. I would definitely recommend it!!

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is extremely clean and the owners are great! It will remind you if a B &B! They also have a restaurant on the premises!

Really nice hotel in the centre of town. The staff were all friendly. I believe we were the only ones staying at the time. Breakfast was good with hot options as well. Rooms clean. However no options for dining in the evening

Gem in Bernkastel Host communicated well and was very helpful. Location was ideal— walking distance from heart of BernKastel and along the Mosel. Breakfast was delicious. Only complaint was the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby and hallways.

Nice rooms, eat close to the city, can be recommended

on the last evening of our stay we wanted to give the small hotel restaurant a chance. and were surprised. you can expect really good, honest BUT simple home-style cooking in the restaurant zur post. no tourist trap! the food here is much better than the food that you can get in the relevant restaurants in the old town. these "top" rated tourist traps were all a horror from a culinary point of view...

The Hotel Bären was very nice - excellent breakfast and genial hosts.

We were told there would be a lift. No lift in our building (of 2). Smaller but OK rooms. No refrigerator. Wintertime so we used the window sill outside.

The proprietor could not have been a more friendly and helpful man, staff were lovely, the hotel Immaculately clean and the breakfast very good indeed. Our room faced away from the river (toward the castle hill) and was a reasonably good size, the bathroom with multi jet shower was just what we needed after 370 miles of motorcycling that day. Only downside was squeaky floorboards, minor problem. Brilliantly...

Fabulous hotel, friendly staff and well equipped rooms with wonderful views of the Mosel from our private balcony. Can't recommend it enough.

We had an enjoyable stay and would stay there again the next time we are in the area.

My wife and I enjoyed our three-night stay in October 2024. The room was spacious and clean, though the furniture seemed dated. It had a spectacular patio with outdoor furniture and a splendid view, but unfortunately it was too rainy to enjoy. Very nice, small, apparently family run hotel with a big room with a sofa and queen bed. It's a bit too far to walk to the center of town, but it is located in a quiet area and has free parking. The included breakfast is excellent. Everything was fresh and tasty. Even cooked eggs to order for us. The hotel restaurant offers a traditional German dinner menu. Had a fantastic experience here with my friends! The Indian food—paneer tikka, kadhai paneer, naan, and dal makhani—was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors. The rooms are so quaint, the staff are so friendly and attentive, location is central. Restaurant across has some of the best food I've ever had. I ordered the grilles salmon, with potatoes and cooked spinach.

A beautiful town with a charming centre in the traditional German style. If your staying at a local hotel a voucher is available to allow parking in public car parks. (5euros 2019).

Charming hotel in great location Great small family hotel with stunning service and nice atmosphere. Perfect location in the village on the main street and close to everything. We have a room with balcony, small but very nice to relax and look at the view and whatever happen on the village main street. I warmly recomend this hotel, I will book here again next time I go to Bernkastel Kues.

MOTORCYCLE TOURING WITH DAVE Very friendly and helpful host. Superb location in this beautiful town. Good shower, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast with good coffee and very secure motorcycle parking made this an excellent base for exploring the Mosel. Would I stay here again? YES

Great finding at an excellent price. The hotel was excellent and the hosts extremely friendly. It is in a beautiful little town on the Moselle river with historic buildings and surrounded by vineyards.

The rooms are rather simple, but clean and perfectly fine for one or two nights. The breakfast is decent: pre-baked rolls, cold cuts, and cheese from the supermarket...not outstanding, but adequate. The location is good.
