Hotel Zur Loreley in Sankt Goar

We generally liked the personal touch during our stay. Whether it's preference for bread in the breakfast or accommodating our stroller downstairs in the reception so we will have more space in the room. We also received few useful info ahead of our stay about the hotel and surrounding area. It was very thoughtful of Stefan! Breakfast was generally good, ample choices and quite filling. They even accommodated our 9 months old with a baby chair and the baby had a great time eating breakfast with us. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. We appreciated the water kettle in the room although we didn't end up using it. There was a large TV which was a nice touch but we didn't stay in the room long enough to enjoy it. That's mainly because our room on first floor had no real view. We did have two windows that were enough for air circulation but it both opened to the building next to it which was almost close enough to touch. This made the room very claustrophobic and we just decided to stay outside as long as possible. I suppose the choice of room made sense since other rooms require climbing further up the narrow stairs with the baby but I feel like this should be indicated somewhere while reserving the room. As this isn't representative of the price we paid. The hotel dates back to 1920 so as charming as it is, it has it's own drawback. The hotel doesn't have it's own parking but there are parking choices near but paid and unpaid. If necessary, you can drive to the hotel directly to load and unload your luggage which is helpful. I heartily recommend to stay here if you can overlook the drawbacks as that was a bit specific to our situation.

Hotel zur Loreley provided the perfect respite during my recent hiking trip. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm hospitality. My room was featuring a wonderfully soft bed with fluffy pillows, a desk, and a spotless bathroom. All the amenities, including the shower were in perfect working order. WiFi worked, even though it got disconnected at times. I appreciated the convenience of the self-service minibar in the reception area.
The hotel's central location, just steps from the train station and within easy walking distance from the trail ends, made it an ideal base for exploring. While the hotel’s own restaurant wasn’t open there are a couple of dining options nearby, including Zur Krone. Breakfast was a true highlight. The staff were happy to accommodate my preferences, preparing sizzling scrambled eggs just the way I like them, along with fresh rolls and delicious coffee. I would definitely stay at Hotel Zurich Loreley again on my next visit to this charming region.

My husband and I visited this hotel on a cycle trip across Europe. It was very clean and it had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It had good attention to detail.
It had a flat screen TV, a hairdryer, shower gel and soap. Nice white fluffy towels. It was nicely situated right in the middle of town. They kindly let us store our ebikes. Service was great. The owner was charming and eager to please. The breakfast was one of the best we have had.

Sebastian was an incredible host from the moment we arrived. His hotel is fantastic and we would recommend it to anyone. He suggested excellent restaurants in the area and also activities. Rooms were great, breakfast was great, and the staff was great. We would love to return to this hotel again!

Very nice host who was super motivated to get me something vegan to eat and even tried to consider my fructose intolerance. That was pretty surprising. He was very chatty and helpful in general. Only spent 2 days there, but if I would go to sankt Goar again, I'd be for sure try to go there again!

Schnitzel and Pike fish - recommended! Also three ways to cook potatoes. Stay away from red wine, however.

Very nice small hotel and restaurant. Third generation family business led by Sebastion who is the head chef. He is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our food and stay very much. Sebastion loaned us his bicycles and advice for a wonderful tour.
