Hotels in Sankt Goar

I wish if lift goes to all floors. Since I had carry up heavy luggages by steps from ground to the 1st floor and another steep steps ffom the highest floor for the lift on the 3rd floor to upper floor where the room was located, I twisted and injured my knee. Not serious I hope, but may take time to recover. Everything else was wonderful. Very good accommodation.

We spent three nights at the hotel. The entire property is very well maintained, and the location is excellent especially during meals, as the view of the Rhine is absolutely stunning. The spa area is on the smaller side. There are only four loungers in the pool area, and the sauna is also a bit small. The rooms aren’t extraordinary, but they are clean and well kept. The food menu is not extensive...

Absolutely beautiful hotel and spa. The views of the Rhine from the deck and the restaurant were amazing. The food was great the staff were very helpful.

There was good and not so good about our stay. We had to wait over 20 minutes to check while the staff member tried to resolve issues with another guest. That was unfortunate but understandable, but I was never acknowledged and when I was able to begin, was abandoned to another guest before completing. Was never told anything about the property including breakfast location and hours or spa location...

This was the best hotel during our journey through Germany and Austria. Checks all the boxes for excellence. The room is large and very convenient with all the amenities. Views of the Rhein Gorge from the large windows are really spectacular. Their breakfast also has plenty to choose from. Spent 2 nights in a comfort room and standard room. Both great nights, very comfy beds. Great river views. To be honest I'm not sure what the difference between the price categories was, but either way prices were reasonable and we were happy. Didn't try restaurant as reviews were poor. Had 2x meals in the town.

Very affordable, clean, cozy, friendly staff. The staff was so helpful that when we forgot an item in the nearby castle, they helped reach out to the castle and coordinated the pickup for us.

The property was very well maintained. Great location close to the train station. The buffet breakfast was Ok but not the best value for money we have seen. Staff were very friendly. The room was a little tired and could use an upgrade to the flooring

Comfortable 2 night stay. Reasonably priced budget option single room, perfectly comfortable for 2 nights. Wonderful river views for extra charge but definitely a must. Lovely breakfast and good wifi. Did not need parking. Right next to train station.

Loved the beautilful patio view. Friendly staff. Warned of water bugs, to keep lights off at night. Pillow smelled bad, like BO. Spacious room.

Boat for the Rhine river cruise and ferry ride to other side of the river conveniently located in front of the hotel. Plenty restaurants nearby. 20 minutes walk to Rheinfels castle.

Lovely little hotel on the Rhine This is a lovely hotel in a great location. We had a room with balcony with a gorgeous view of the Rhine. The room was a nice size and very clean. The hotel itself is older and a little out of date, but it was maintained well. It’s a short walk to the train station and the boat dock. It was a perfect home base to explore the rest of the middle Rhine.

Nice little town on Rhine River with a lot of history. Off season is very slow, not much open but this hotel still charges full top dollar prices for tiny rooms. The prices in the restaurant are also high. You can stay and dine at nicer places cheaper.

This Hotel has the best food anywhere on the Rhein river. Service is great and friendly at a decent price. As with any hotel along the river dealing with railroad, street and river commerce traffic has it's drawbacks but if your exhausted from traveling all day noise won't matter. No Vegas style hotel here, this is a typical old fashion European hotel. Great for a short one or two night stay centrally...

Staff were amazing and room was just right. They provide bikes and we used them to ride into town of St Goar. Recommended.

The Rhine and wine! Amazing view of the Rhine. We had the most excellent dinner at the hotel, 5 stars! I would recommend having a car. Lovely service, winery on site!

Two backpackers Very clean and cosy hotel 30min. walk from the trainstation in st. Goar. We will come back to stay, but with car, to be able to buy some of their very nice riesling.

This hotel is quaint and charming with very attentive staff. The restaurant food is superb! It is near train tracks but the windows close out the noise perfectly. Must stay hotel I can't rave about this hotel enough. This is the second time I've stayed there and I purposely planned our trip for an overnight here. We biked from Eltsville to Koblenz and stopped here. They have a secure bike garage. Hotel is right on the Rhine overlooking a castle on the other side. We generally liked the personal touch during our stay. Whether it's preference for bread in the breakfast or accommodating our stroller downstairs in the reception so we will have more space in the room. My husband and I visited this hotel on a cycle trip across Europe. It was very clean and it had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It had good attention to detail. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was very tasty and nice; we ate everything. The waiter was also very nice with a sense of humour (from Marosvásárhely/Románia) and he recognised our speech when we were talking in Hungarian. The only reason I took 1 star; we could not pay with card, only with cash. In 2021 using cash in a hotel restaurant is not an option...

The Hotel is a charming hotel. The ladies who attend are highly professional and make you feel at home. The location is unbeatable. The breakfast and dinner fantastic. The views are magnificent and the tranquility that surrounds the hotel is very good. A lot of cleaning. Very comfortable beds. Does not lack detail in the rooms. Is to repeat without hesitation. The rooms are very tasteful and beautiful. Also clean. It was stupid that the shower mixer in the bathroom didn't work. Sometimes ice cold water came suddenly. The breakfast was really good. Great fruit and everything else was delicious too. From there you can hike well!

Very nice hosts. Restaurant furniture is a bit old, but has its charm. Breakfast was delicious. Everything you need. If something is missing, just ask the innkeepers, they make everything possible. Bicycles can be parked in the basement.

The family who run Zur Post were absolutely lovely and provided a lovely room and a great breakfast. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area again!
