Lovely hotel, centrally located yet quiet! The rooms were cozy and modern! I missed having a kettle and a minibar, or at least a capsule coffee machine! The hotel claims to be committed to sustainability, but in the wrong places! Our request to heat up the sauna was met with a strange look! They shouldn't advertise it as such! The breakfast buffet was extremely limited, and some items weren't fresh...

Stay here for work quite often. Have always had a pleasant stay. The Hotel isn't always busy so breakfast might sometimes be limited.

The large room, the sauna, the nice personal, the cleanliness.

Overall nice hotel - always friendly staff and nice, clean rooms. Breakfast was ok. The usual standard. As vegetarians, we would have liked a little more choice here. Overall, however, we were very satisfied with our stay

Absolutely amazing place! The hotel is in a old castle/ manoir which has been renovated and it looks wonderful. You feel like in a fairytale. The atmosphere is amazing with a little pond in front, a nicely kept garden and great decoration in the building. Attention to details is very well done and appreciate. Our stay here was more than wonderful, everything was just done in a perfect way! Especially the location, the park and the furniture of the whole castle are super beautiful and an absolute reason to come here again! Additionally to this, the service team is amazing, as we forgot something in the room and it was send to us without additional effort for us, which is surely nothing every hotel does!

My husband and I spent two nights here on our honeymoon. We really enjoyed this hidden gem! Breakfast on the castle terrace each morning was amazing. There isn't a whole lot to do nearby but the surrounding area is beautiful and it was nice to hike the local trails and see the calcium spring. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend!

This hotel was really cool! It was built in 1896, and has been well maintained. The breakfast spread was the best I have ever seen, and the employee serving breakfast was top notch. We were with 6 people from 8.10. - 10.10.21 in this hotel. The rooms were great and the staff just outstanding. Very friendly advice on excursions. The outdoor area invites you to come back again in summer. And the food was great too. We will definitely recommend you .

A wonderful hotel for in between with many small details, such as a kettle, hairdryer, soap and storage space in the rooms. We only visited the restaurant. Food was all good, beers, too. It is a good place to eat trout fish, as the hotel's name is Trout.

We were there for lunch ... great service, a delicious fish soup and the fish plate with 3 different fillets were a pleasure !!! Thanks to the nice service, we felt comfortable! We will definitely be back, there are other delicacies (the game specialties) waiting for us!

It was a lovely weekend and we felt really comfortable. Great welcome, beautiful location right next to the church. Breakfast was delicious 😋 The rooms are very spacious, the furnishings a bit dated. Very friendly welcome; we were able to check into our rented apartments earlier. Everything is well laid out, and quite new, I'd say. We found the refrigerator a bit small for the number of people. Ordering bread rolls worked perfectly; Thale is always worth a visit. The thermal baths are lovely, small but great for a few hours of relaxation. Was there with dog for 5 nights in November. The accommodation was very good and the staff very nice. Since I came by train and was delayed, moving into the apartment later was not a problem either. We stayed one night at the Hotel Harzresidenz in December 2025. The room was clean, but unfortunately, there was some mold in the shower. The sauna was closed, which surprised us, as there were very few guests at the hotel overall, and it wouldn't have been profitable for the hotel to have it open. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is idyllically situated in the middle of the forest, and the conservatory, where breakfast is served, offers a lovely view. The sauna is also very nice. Unfortunately, everything seems a bit neglected, and the owners appear to be newcomers to the industry. They are very friendly and accommodating but need to pay more attention to the details.

We had booked the apartment/holiday apartment with two bedrooms. We didn't realize that this wasn't directly in the hotel, but 1km further away in Haus Tannengrün. When we arrived, the bed in the second bedroom was unmade. But it was done quickly after calling. If you are looking for a quiet hotel without service, bar and restaurant, this is the right place for you. The hotel is idyllically located in the middle of the forest. No cell phone reception. Free WiFi with 1 bar. Dinner only if you book it, then only warmed up, no changes possible. The same cake was in the fridge all week. A wonderful hotel.. Not only do the rooms and the atmosphere score points, the surroundings are fantastically beautiful.. I can definitely recommend.... There is a sauna area and a large winter garden invites you to eat. For larger celebrations, a lovingly designed room is available separately... I was a completely satisfied guest...
