this hotel does not have AC so summer nights are hot and sensitive people can't sleep. our room faced the inside area where many birds are constantly active - so it's loud. and because we had to open the window due to heat, we could not sleep due to the noise. breakfast was ok, but not special. very large hotel and very busy

Great hotel but major disappointment with the room. No A/C and windows locked from opening. It was very warm, not good for a hotel in this calibre. Otherwise all ok!

The hotel offers free access to the water park, which is great for kids. The rooms are a bit small and not very spacious. There's a diving facility nearby, but it's only open Wednesday through Sunday. Overall, this hotel is a good choice for a family vacation.

We were lucky the weather was so good we used the rooms only to shower and sleep

Unfortunately, the selection at the evening buffet is not satisfactory. Few German-speaking staff at reception. Few garage parking spaces, no charging option directly at the hotel.

We really enjoyed the hotel. I was in Grömitz with two friends for a few relaxing days. The service in the hotel was very pleasant, the breakfast buffet and the coffee and cake in the afternoon were very plentiful.

The hotel needs a bit of updating. Clean and comfy but getting a bit tired. First impressions are always at check-in, unfortunately not my best experience. Staff not the most polite and information was at a minimum. Advertised as a spa hotel, yes they have a spa but unfortunately it doesn’t open until 14:00( the pool opens at 8:00)No information about this on booking. Was told by one member of staff...

Very good experience with the service desk - the friendliest with a lot of smiles.

Clean rooms, good shower, hotel right on the beach. No aircondition but we were lucky that it was cool in the night so we could open the windows. Breakfast is to die for! A chef making your omelet the way you like it in front of you.

We stayed for a weekend in a room for 3 people and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, the Spa area is beautiful, the rooms are well equipped with a kitchenette and it is completely calm at night. Best experience I've had in Germany so far. A must do if you want to get your feet wet and whistle as well :). Food was absolutely .........Amazing! I recommend eggs and cheese in the morning. Whoever is cooking behind the scenes deserves a big thumbs up!!!!!!! well done!

You won't find a better hotel at the eastsea. Fantastic place

Nice hotel, lovingly furnished. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It is worth eating here, there are delicious creations and there should be something for everyone. The only downer was, I had a stain on the bed sheet. Instead of exchanging it, the bed was put in and good. I would have expected more, too bad.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It was friendly, clean, perfectly located, easy for families like ours with a young child, quality spa treatments (Aloe vera facial is heavenly!) and fantastic restaurant. ONLY thing missing was tea/coffee in the room but apart from that, we were really happy with everything.

NR 35 Disaster in Small! One week in Grömitz. Apartment booked over the Internet. Hotel is good. Friendly and nice. Vacation homes are brokered. We were / are in apartment number 35! Small disaster. Minimal lighting, old carpet, loose faucet, etc ..... On request in the hotel then additional light sources (floor lamp) by the caretaker .... Welcome to the 1980s ... But only in apartment 35! The rest...

A super nice place, since 2019 after our first vacation here we feel very comfortable again and again. Swim in the pool in the morning, take a sauna in the house and even jump into the Baltic Sea in autumn. Super good kitchen and very friendly staff. Eating with a view of the Baltic Sea, what more could you want (Meer🏊). We are always looking forward to our vacation here in Grömitz at the Hotel Strandidyll

Really lovely rooms, newly renovated with a beautiful view over the beach. Rooms are big, and you also get a fully equipped kitchen

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and tidy. The sink in the bathroom is perhaps a bit small, but otherwise everything is fine. The food is really good and the breakfast is varied. There is a 3-course menu every evening (costs around €32). The hotel has a truly fantastic view over the Baltic Sea. The roof terrace is a dream! We will definitely come back!

Our expectations were far exceeded 👍👍 We got a double room with a dreamy "sea view," including 🌅 Our breakfast buffet on the terrace with a Baltic Sea view deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The staff, especially the ladies in the restaurant and at the breakfast buffet 😋, fulfilled many of our wishes ❗️We didn't lack anything. Our recommendation is 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣% We will be guests at this "romantic hotel" again in September...

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and plentiful, and the location and view were excellent. But, as has often been mentioned here, the hotel is simply outdated, and it shows everywhere. A lot of work needs to be done.

The Hotel is in a desperate need of renovation. The rooms and building are really old and in some parts dirty. However, the staff are very friendly and do their best to keep you happy. The breakfast was also good. The location is Perfect with sea view from the room and a 2 min walk to the beach.

The hotel is in a good location. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes and the long bridge on the promenade in 10 minutes. Externally, it is not that well-maintained and does not make a very good visual impression. The staff was friendly. We stayed in a double room and had a dog with us. The room was, like the entire hotel, a bit old, but absolutely okay. The division of the room was not so advantageous...

We were there for 1 week, in the apartment room. The room is a good size. The hotel is getting a bit old but it was enough. The cleanliness should be significantly better. It's a bit impractical with a stroller. The food was good, we were told that it was even better before the corona time! On the whole, you can spend a couple of days here. It's just a spa hotel.
