Hotel Strandidyll in Gromitz

First of all, our room was wonderful. Everything was new, and the view from the balcony was wonderful, directly overlooking the Baltic Sea. But that was about the positive side. Upon arrival, with the first impression and smell, I would have loved to leave immediately... thank goodness we only booked one night... at a lot of money! Perhaps my expectations for the first overall impression were correspondingly high. We could only book with breakfast, which I definitely didn't find appealing at €20 per person. And I know what I'm talking about, because we spent a week traveling along the Baltic Sea and had great breakfasts in the accommodations for less money. Yes, the hotel is showing its age and is obviously being renovated. Walking down the hallways, you definitely don't expect a room like this. But the overall impression outside and inside is unfortunately not offset by the room. A little tip or two... if you're renovating... double sockets above the bedside tables are standard these days, the wardrobe is definitely too small, and such a wonderful room definitely deserves new cushions for the balcony chairs! The bathroom is missing hooks for hanging towels. And a small refrigerator would be the icing on the cake. And there was also no wardrobe.
