Actually, this is not a hotel at all. You could call it anything else — a guesthouse, a campsite with a pool, or an eco-tourism farm stay - but certainly not a hotel, and definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised. That's simply misleading and deeply disappointing.
Yes, there is a wellness area and a pool, but the overall setting is that of an old farm with basic rooms furnished with IKEA furniture. The atmosphere lacks the comfort, service, and standards one would expect from a proper hotel, let alone a 4-star one.
If you're booking this place with expectations of a genuine 4-star experience, prepare to be shocked.

Not a hotel, no — a farm it was, cows lowing somewhere past the hedge, a pool dropped in like an afterthought, shimmering, incongruous.

We stayed for a weekend in a room for 3 people and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, the Spa area is beautiful, the rooms are well equipped with a kitchenette and it is completely calm at night. Other highlights were the vast breakfast buffet and the massage that we booked on top. The hotel is surrounded by fields and yet just a 4 min drive to the beach. I highly recommend for a wellness weekend away from the city and to explore Grömitz, Kellenhusen and Dahme.
