The great thing about this hotel is its location, of course. Smack middle of the city, close to the ships and right next to the casino. Couldn't be better. Rooms are quite nice too with AC. What I didn't like was the reception. Checking in took ages and the service was overall quite slow. Garage is super tiny, so beware of that. I would still return, however, as the upsides outweigh the downsides.

Check in was easy, easy access to rooms by elevator (though it could become crowded), nice room, nice facilities. Breakfast was fine, not a big selection, but it was fine.
Location is superior! With very easy access to the main shopping area, lots or restaurant options, very close to several bus routes, and we had a nice view down to the public bath/water fountain.

Rooms are much better than the reception area makes you fear to encounter. Some green plants would make it more welcoming and in the restaurant too.

One of my differently best hotels experience i my life. After a long day traveling and need a rom for the night there comfort and calming and peaceful night experience. Never before have a hotel being able to give a better refresh goodnight sleep there I was leaving my hotel stay with fully loaded with energy and strength to continue my traveling. I did choose this hotel out of what kiel have to offering there I was stress checking true entire world of internet about actually what Kiel had to offer and even they hotel places who coming under the radar or in the shadows and the winner of internet was booking.com and this hotel is the best offering in kiel

Good location in the centre, with friendly staff and nice breakfast. Parking spaces really close at an extra fee. Weird separation between toilet and sink, a funny (not terrible) smell in the room, and a little weird that I could check in, in advance, but on arrival still needed to fill out the same details

After spending one night at the adagio Hotel last weekend, we spent one night at the ibis Styles Kiel this weekend. Both hotels are located in the same building and run under the same management. We had two great stays! Both hotels seem very new and offer nice rooms. We enjoyed our room in the ibis a bit better as it offered a great view on the harbor with nice seating areas next to the windows. Breakfast was good, however rather crowded. But the best aspect of our stays in Kiel was the staff of both hotels. All were very welcoming, helpful, friendly and really helped to make these memorable stays for the whole family. Thanks to the whole team.

Room was very small without a chair to sit and also no kettle to boil water ( but hot water available at reception/restaurant at ground floor). We like the gym close to our room. In gernal, it was good stay during our visit

The hotel is clean, the room is spacious, good bathroom, great breakfast, excellent location. The staff isn't super friendly but in no way unfriendly either, which is the German customer service standard. In fact, this would have been a really super stay, but an expensive item of clothing was removed from our room and the hotel refuses to take any responsibility. It was white, so presumably the cleaning staff grabbed it by mistake when they changed sheets.

I can kind of understand that the hotel staff has no way of verifying our claim, but nevertheless, the item is missing and it's quite clearly the hotel's fault. I'm also annoyed that staff told me twice I'd have to pay postage if they found it after our stay. That's perfectly reasonably if I forget something in our room - but not if hotel staff remove something from the room without our knowledge or permission.

All in all, I'm not accusing anyone of stealing, as I would presume this was a complete accident by the cleaning staff. In fact, I would happily recommend this hotel. But still, I can't give a positive grade given the circumstances. We lost an expensive anniversary gift because of the hotel, and the hotel staff have given every impression that they do not care whatsoever.
