Mercure Hotel Gera City in Gera

Really nice room, welcoming staff, good car park, good travel options (trams) overall really good. Only thing was the room was very hot due to the heating (understandable in winter but still a bit over done).

The location was very convenient for me, the room very pleasant, and I enjoyed the excellent breakfast. I stayed for 3 nights

It’s a good hotel.
The breakfast is nice but the dinner and snacks needs to get better. (The variety of options are very limited. Also, some of the staff doesn’t speak English. I know the hotel is in Germany, but English is an universal language..)

Update in July-24: I came back to the hotel and must say that services become much better. The menu has more variety. The food was really taste! Also, the staff was speaking English. Didn’t have issue at all! Good to see that my previous review was listened by the administration of the hotel.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel and had an exceptional experience. The breakfast was a highlight of my stay, offering a wide variety of delicious and fresh options each morning. It was the perfect way to start my day.

Additionally, I had an unfortunate incident where I left some clothes in the cabinet after checking out. The hotel staff went above and beyond by promptly locating my belongings and arranging to have them sent to me via courier at a very reasonable cost. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist were truly commendable.

I also brought my dog along, as the hotel is pet-friendly. We were warmly welcomed with snacks for my dog and a cute bowl for water, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Overall, I highly recommend Mercure Hotel for its excellent service, fantastic breakfast, pet-friendly accommodations, and exceptional customer care. Thank you for making our stay memorable and hassle-free!
