Hotel & Spa Suiten Freiwerk in Stolberg (Harz)

It was our second time here and we love it so much. The hotel and its restaurant are amazing, although a little expensive. It is definitely worth it. The hotel is very pet friendly and the people working there always very kind. The breakfast is also really great, with a lot of local and freshly made products. I think the only think missing is activities offered by the hotel but you have so much nature around that it doesn’t matter. One think we didn’t really like this time compare to the first time is that we didn’t receive any dog treats in the room and no honey/jam at our departure. Those details really made a difference last year. As information for the hotel, the english translation on the website and ipad in the room do not work properly.

Over the years, I have seen and managed many properties, which means I naturally notice the details. My stay at Hotel Freiwerk, however, impressed and delighted me in a way that is truly rare.

Beautiful rooms and fantastic service. Spa is a great place to relax after a day hiking or enjoying the beautiful Stolberg or surrounding areas.

This Hotel was delightful and is a hidden Jem! The hotel is completely new and is of the highest standard, I have ever stayed. The quality of the Room and service was of a the highest standard and the food and Service was Michelin quality. Not being a German speaker did not matter as most of the staff could also speak fluent English.

The room was brand new, perfect, clean, quiet, modern and had a great TV screen. (we stayed in the coach house) Enough parking spaces. The breakfast was the best we ever had; all you can think off and more all fresh and tasty; even several vegan options! Specific needs will be fulfilled no questions asked. We also had dinner twice this was Michelin star worthy!!

Stayed here for 2 nights. We got a wonderful upgraded room. The restaurant is incredibly delicious! The waiters are very attentive and friendly. 10 min to Stolberg on foot. We loved our stay, thank you for making our weekend so cozy and delicious 👍
