FAIR RESORT All Inclusive Wellness & SPA Hotel Jena in Jena

We spent a week as a group of three at the Fair Resort in Thuringia (all-inclusive, 4-bed attic room). Overall, the stay was relaxing, with many positive impressions, but also a few things that could be improved. On the positive side: The hotel offers a great range of leisure activities: We particularly enjoyed the tennis and badminton hall as well as the small but good-sized gym. The absolute highlight, however, was the large spa area with eight saunas, three pools, and plenty of space – all very well-maintained and never crowded. All the staff were friendly, although occasionally a "good morning" was missing. The service staff in the dining area deserve special mention; they were always attentive. The chef was also available daily and could answer all our questions about the dishes. The selection of drinks was excellent: There was beer, wine, sparkling wine, soft drinks (from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.), coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning. A local public transport ticket was also included (the stop was a 7-minute walk away). Areas for improvement: The attic room was unfortunately very warm, and the air conditioning barely worked. There was no wardrobe, only a few open shelves, which wasn't enough for three people. Furthermore, not every bed had a bedside table, and there was no refrigerator. Only one room key was included free of charge; the second cost extra (€5 deposit). The bathroom didn't have a lockable door, which didn't bother us, but might have been an issue for others. For meals, there was a daily choice of three meat or fish dishes and three side dishes – all fresh and well-seasoned, but we sometimes missed simple classics like rice or pasta. We also would have appreciated things like lemon slices with the fish, a selection of sauces, bacon at breakfast, or pastries for dessert. The QR code for displaying ingredients in the dining room didn't work as expected; unfortunately, there was no precise information about the dishes actually available. Additionally, there was only one type of dressing and many pre-dressed salads, all of which contained sugar. We would have liked a comfortable lobby to relax in or chat with other guests; this area was sadly lacking in the hotel. Sleeping with the window open was unfortunately far too noisy, as the hotel is located directly next to the highway, and quiet hours were not a priority. In conclusion: A lovely hotel with a great spa area and friendly staff, ideal for relaxation. However, there is room for improvement regarding room amenities and food service.

Das Essen war eine 10/10. Wirklich lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Zimmer waren für einen Kurzaufenthalt vollkommen ausreichend.

Ich war bereits 2mal hier, jeweils als Geschäftsreisender. Es ist aber sicher auch für den Urlaub mit der Familie zu empfehlen. Essen und Wellness Angebot top. Personal sehr freundlich, die Ausstattung super. Probiert es selbst!
