Where to stay in Jena

Very beautiful hotel in retro-style furnishings with pictures like Merlin Monroe or Humphrey Bogart. The rooms are big and it's quiet because it's not in the center. Every time the same breakfast but it's yummy and everyone can find something.

Absolutely fine for a work trip. The location is somewhat strange (the end of a 1980s commie block), but walking distance from Jenoptik campus or the university hospital. Good breakfast, clean, though a bit dated and some slight lack of maintenance shows here and there on carpets / isolation.

Unfortunately, there was a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke in the room, and we had to air it out for quite a long time. The breakfasts were excellent. Varied and high quality. The room interior is designed in the style of the GDR/Soviet era, which can be seen as a distinctive atmospheric feature of the hotel and part of its historical context

Slightly dated looking furnishings but the rooms were lovely and comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the beds were great. Spacious parking area, surrounded by green. Great place to spend the night on a longer trip.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good, with fresh fruit (orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and melon). The decor is dated and quite worn, but everything is well-maintained and clean.

The hotel was very good, we have no comments about that, we also found it very nice that we could order a complete meal late at night. In short, everyone in the hotel did their best to please us. A downside is the connection to public transport to the center, that could have been better.. If we are in the area, Best Western will definitely be considered again Freundliche Grüße,

Very good hotel in Jena. I stayed during my business trip. The building is slightly old but the rooms were clean. The room was fully equipped with kitchenette, coffee maker and TV. There is a sauna in the hotel. Reception Staff was very friendly and helpful. With the hotel card public transport is free. Downtown can be reached with tram in approx 15 minutes. The staff went above and beyond for us during our stay! The hotel is incredibly historic and charming. I highly recommend adding the breakfast to your stay. Jena is an absolute gem of a city and we would love to stay here again!

Stayed there for a week on a business trip. Didn't like the fact that the staff enters the room In your absence and messes with your personal stuff. For example if you don't put away your toiletries, they will disappear

This hotel was conveniently located a 7 minute walk from the DB station at Jena West and a 1 minute walk to the street car station. It was also located at the central mall great for coffee and breakfast. I went to a Jena Basketball game this was super convenient!

Newly renovated, so it was better than expected. Wish it had an air conditioner, because summer is just too hot to stay without it these days.

Amazing hotel in a great location in downtown Jena. I travel a lot and had some of the best sleep ever in this hotel. The breakfast is awesome and at a terrific price. Fine but lacking good service hours. The place is fine for a short stay. There is no service on Sundays or late in the evening, making it a bit odd to stay there then. They didn't bother cleaning the room as a result.

Absolutely terrible air conditioning indoors during a very hot summer week. Excellent staff and excellent food for breakfasts boosted my rating or it would be much lower. Europe in general has tiny uncomfortable mattresses on the beds vs what we have in the USA, but I've always encountered that over the past 20 years, so I don't hold that against ibis.

Comfy hotel centrally located in Jena. We purchased the breakfast buffet and it was worth it! They served Heinz ketchup. The room was small and had everything we needed. Free reliable WiFi. Elevator. Front desk. Keycard access, required for powering your room’s electricity.

The location of the hotel was best. Right in the heart of the city, but the hotel itself was below par. You can hear people walking outside and slamming other rooms door and bathroom was little stinky. I had good experience with IBIS in other cities, but here in Jena, I was a little disappointed. Our overall stay was pleasant. I want to appreciate the staff mostly. They were very cordial and supportive throughout our stay. The location is great! Very near to public transportation. Everything we needed was nearby. Breakfast was good.

Economical and clean. Well connected with tram to go in city. Staff is quite helpful. I was really amazed at the humility and understanding that the restaurant manager showed when I arrived later in night!! Her kindness remains the highlight of my travel.

Very good hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. Although the furniture is fully functional, it could be invested in a new and modern one, because it reminds of the times from the previous state. Accommodation prices are roughly the same as in the city center, although the hotel is a few kilometers away from the center. Meals are big and of high quality.

The staffs are friendly and willing to give helps. Jena is the first city we visit among the three cities of our journey in Germany, and the stays at B&B Jena was the best experience of our three accommodations.

Traveling to Jena, Germany and stays at B&b Hotel was one of my first time I stayed in secure place, cleaned, real time service, and amazing healthy breakfast was my best experience in Germany. I did not interact with any staff, so no rating there. The pillow was too flat, bit other than that, everything was fine.

The check-in is total anonymous. There were several guests who had not received the Code for the key Box and were totally lost. No phone number, no service at the hotel. Staff isonly present during breakfast time

Very nice and cosy guest house very close to the city center. The twin room was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the owners were always ready to help.

Comfortable, cosily yet a little old fashioned decorated. The double bed had two separate mattresses though, which made cuddling quite a challenge.
