While the location is unbeatable and the views are stunning, the rooms are average at most, mattresses are ok, cushions are super thin and not really usable. The Ringberghotel high above Suhl is an impressive building, worth a visit just for its open location! Panoramic views, clean and functional rooms. The food tasted great, the service was friendly and polite. Despite the Corona requirements, the guest feels comfortable and is happy to return!

Suhl sounds like a good name for an evil wizard. The best hotel stay I've had in ages. Nothing fancy, but everything just worked as it should. You need your chip to work the lift. That slowed me down a minute but i am not a smart man.

Young boy, I am stranded here because I had a flat tire. Price performance is okay but not great. I don't know when my bathroom mirror was last cleaned in my room, but maybe too high standards for you who knows. When you took a shower there were still any names on the mirror that you could see about the condensation / steam that of course makes me think how clean the rest is ... One should definitely...

This hotel is not the most modern or fancy we have seen but it is clean, rooms are good, location is excellent, breakfast and bar very good and staff very accommodating - so what more do you need? We liked it and give our recommendations.

Clean and decent hotel, well situated with walking distance to town centre. Loved the little frozen lake that I could see from the window. Quiet town, visiting in February wasn’t the turist moment.

The bed, which you couldn't really call a bed, was a daybed with a thick mattress on top. It wobbled and slipped; two of my colleagues fell off it and landed on the floor. We had booked four single rooms, and in all of them, the towel rails were hanging loosely on the wall.

My experience at the hotel and with the provided breakfast was very good. In the meantime, I have asked the hotel to return to me an electric toothbrush an Oral-B made by Braum, which I left accidentally in my room 501 on my checkout day of May 27. Very nice and pleasant hotel. The rooms are cosy and quiet. The stuff is nice and kindly. The dinner was great. If you visit the town is really nice place to stay.

I like the hotel, however they have changed some of the things at breakfast: no croissants anymore, no specialty cheeses amongst others, which were two of the highlights for me. and that while pricing is going up the rest was fine

Really good location if arriving to Suhl by train as it is right in front of the station. Breakfast is nice and simple with fruits available. Room was nice and spacious, wish there was AC but those are rare in Germany.

We had reserved a table at 7:30 p.m. Thirty minutes later, we received drinks and a welcome from the kitchen. The main course arrived around 8:30 p.m. and neither looked nor tasted as expected. The staff were obviously overwhelmed, too. I had aspic with fried potatoes that had been reheated at least five times, and everything was covered in tartar sauce.

Great hotel in historic building with a modern interior make this worth visit. Superbly friendly staff and classic local cuisine in a nice setting make this hotel a truly nice expérience. The historic city center is just a short walk and rewards the visitor with ancient sights.

We stayed from June 7th to June 12th, 2022. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and lovingly furnished. We immediately felt very comfortable. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and provided us with valuable tips regarding hiking trails and restaurants in Oberhof. The wonderful daily bread delivery service was an added bonus. We highly recommend this vacation apartment.

We stumbled upon this vacation rental by chance and didn't regret it for a minute during our stay. The landlady is very warm and accommodating. We enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked another week's winter vacation and are already looking forward to it.

Wunderful short trip in the winterwunderland. We rented two of the holiday homes. They were very beautiful and clean with a lot of space for all our friends. We did some bowling in the sporthotel and it was no problem to rent a sledge for our baby. We can recommend this Hotel and the holiday homes to other guest's a lot.

It's actually a nice hotel. But there are cameras everywhere, signs about what's prohibited, etc. The constant surveillance makes you feel a bit uneasy. For dinner, I highly recommend the Italian restaurant a little further up the road.

I have to say the food was perfect, and the welcome at the table was great. The room itself was stylishly furnished, nice and spacious, and clean. However, we were very disappointed about one thing: we had booked a bowling alley, which was confirmed via email. Very large, stylish rooms, a beautiful, modern, spacious bathroom – everything matches the photos on the website. The building isn't brand new from the outside, but I was staying inside, not outside. In general, the stay was successful. The staff speaks little English. There was one incident at a children's attraction. The animator couldn't take control. Parents and grandparents took over and as a result my children were made to cry three times. It was sad.

We booked like 10 double-bed rooms at the Hotel Ilmenauer Hof. So the reservation and cancellation of the room numbers were smooth as well as the check-in and check-out process. Schön eingerichtet, Ambiente war schön auch im kleinen Frühstücksraum. Frühstück war einfach gehalten aber es war für uns alles da und wir sind glücklich und satt geworden :) Wir konnten direkt vorm Hotel einen Parkplatz ergattern, auf einem Streifen was aber nicht direkt zum Hotel gehört. Der Geräuschpegel war niedrig, unser Zimmer lag hinten raus. Wirklich sehr nettes Personal :) wir würden wiederkommen

Very neat rooms, a king's bath. There is no criticism. A very comfortable bed. Quiet room and a large TV. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy breakfast because I had to leave at 7 a.m. But if I should stay overnight in Meiningen again, then only in the Hotel Kaiserpark
