Flegra Palace in Pefkohori

One of the last hotels open for this season, but not least.
Hotel offers very clean and comfortable rooms with sunrise and sea view, at least in room 515, always quiet, always good smelling surroundings. Pool was maybe a little cold for average Scandinavian/Baltic adult tourist, but kids liked it, even if you was a little bit cold after swimming, local cats grouped as one furry blanket and kept you warm in your body and soul 😍.
Food was ok, nothing too fancy but it was there every morning and it tasted good. Pool bar staff was pleasantly generous with cocktails, very enthusiastic and ready to serve at any moment.
Our stay was quiet and nice, no loud music, naked drunk people or anything else too exciting. Hotel staffwas generous with tips for daytrips and "to do" recommendations. We had honour to meet hotel owners who explained us about local greek culture and manners, always good to learn new things 😁👍

Superb hotel that is a 15 minute walk (5euro taxi) to Pefkohori or a 7euro taxi to Hanioti. (Transfer time from the airport was 1hour 10 minutes for us)
The hotel is a 3 minute walk from its own beach club where you can use sunbeds at no charge so long as you have booked through hotel reception first. You will have to spend 20 euro per person during the day which is common for all the local beach clubs.
Rooms are well equipped with everything you expect including TV, fridge, hair dryer and shower gel/conditioner. Rooms are cleaned daily along with towels being changed.
Breakfast at the hotel is really good value with all types of diet catered for. Only one coffee machine can result in a but of queuing but there is the alternative of an urn next to it if you aren't a coffee officiado.
The pool area is well laid out and we found that there was plenty of beds available (we went mid Sept) with nobody feeling the need to reserve beds at stupid o'clock.
Sunbed towels are available for a 5 euro deposit and there is a lifeguard on duty at all times. One minor issue was the green tinge the water gave to white swim suits but hopefully this will be sorted quickly as they do have a pool man who visited daily.
The pool side bar and restaurant is well equipped and open from 10am to 1am daily. Prices are a bit more than local bars and you can run a tab so long as you allow your credit card to be charged a 100 euro security beforehand.
Staff at the restaurant and hotel are extremely friendly and go the extra mile to ensure you have a great time.
There is a gym and spar at the hotel if you require its use or if you have a late flight home then you can book a spot to use this as a shower room while you await pick up.
This hotel overall was extremely good value for money and is recommended.

Fabulous hotel and staff. Room cleaned daily and clean bedding and towels. All staff so friendly. Especially the receptionist, who were always happy to order as a taxi into the village. And the bar staff, especially the head barman, and waitress were always lovely and made the best cocktails and Havana club and Coke. Pool area so relaxing, and very comfy su loungers. But we did prefer the beach club. As we are more beach people. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and always had something different each day. We had a ground floor room, by the front of the hotel, which we thought may be noisy for the road, but was fine and we had a lovely garden area to enjoy.

Fantastic hotel, loved that the rooms are cleaned daily & fresh towels. Breakfast was great, good choice & tasty. Staff on reception excellent, bit hit & miss on bar staff purely as often they would be busier talking to other rather than taking orders. That being said there was one stand out member of staff Constantine “Cotstas” always friendly and attentive plus quite funny. Had an issue with the shower as it just whipped round & round due to poor fixing in wall, did mention it first full day but nothing was done. We managed & the cleaning ladies were so good didn’t want to make a fuss. Definitely would recommend great location & aside from little bits top notch.

We stayed here for two weeks as a couple in their mid twenties. It has a boutique feel about it and has lovely grounds with lots of flowers and olive trees. The rooms are cleaned every day to a high level and have everything you could need including a fridge big enough to store litre bottles in which was handy for storing bottles of water etc. There are two supermarkets a 10 min walk away. If you appreciate a lot of wardrobe space you may find it difficult as we stayed in an executive double room and it had no drawer storage and the wardrobe was open plan (like an exposed rail). We found this fine but others may have issues. There is also no iron in the room but the reception were happy to provide one when we asked, on the basis you return it after use. There were no noise issues in the room we stayed in and we had a lovely balcony view over some olive trees and flowers, for those who want a private balcony I would pay extra to ensure this as ours did look over other buildings and their balconies. The spa was closed during our stay which was disappointing as we were hoping for a massage and the beach club affiliated with the hotel (Mare Nostra) is not included and very expensive in comparison to other very good options for beach clubs in the area. The pool is lovely and very scenic, cleaned well every day, although the chemicals used did turn all of our lighter coloured swimwear yellow (I would recommend taking darker colours). People did reserve sunbeds every day but on the days we went out and came back at lunchtime, there were still beds available, just not in the prime area for sunbathing. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold foods and was enough to fuel us for the day, but with us staying for two weeks we did opt to go out for brunch sometimes for a bit of variety. The set up at breakfast caused a lot of unnecessary queues, as the coffee machine, juice, toast station and cutlery are all in one area as you enter the door. This could be solved by moving the coffee machine (which was the cause for most of the queuing) to the other side of the room. Quality of food in the pool bar is very good and so are the cocktails. Prices vary, some things are similar to what you’d pay in town but others such as coffees cost you six euros and a lot of the time they were half full? There is a great coffee shop down the road, a ten minute walk, called coffee island which we went to instead most days, with high quality coffee for around 3 euros and lovely staff. The staff make this hotel 5/5 as they are incredibly helpful and friendly and everybody always seems busy making the experience as good as possible for the guests. The surrounding area is great, there are plenty of very good quality options for evening meals, lunch and brunch, as well as beach clubs and bars if you want something more lively. The hotel and reception staff was excellent the room we had and the house keeping was amazing 👍🏻 the only thing we found not so good was the pool side bar! The ability to make cocktails was at best poor so much so I only had 2 cocktails in the week we were there previously I was having 3-4 per day! Even showing the staff what I wanted on their own menu was no good as met with blank faces 😩 on a positive note it saved me a fortune cos I never bothered again 👍🏻

Loved everything about my stay at the Flegra palace . Rooms clean every day fresh towels on demand nice toiletries beds comfortable. All staff were great we were well looked after. Food was good and plentiful drinks were reasonably priced great cocktails 🍸 lovely pool and sunbeds were comfortable. We had a lovely stay and I'm sure we will return.

Stayed 11 nights at this hotel… rooms spacious and clean. Really nice shower, clean towels every day. Pool area good but sadly the old story of people reserving sun beds with towels 🥱! Pool bar nice with excellent service. Breakfast was really good with plenty of hot/cold choice. Staff all very friendly. Refreshing to have air con and safe included in price. Beach a short walk but beware… sunbeds very expensive. 3 rows on a narrow beach with prices varying from front row (40-50 euros each) to cheaper at the back (around €20 each). This was the same everywhere. 10-15 min walk into main town. Recommend the old town square for lovely restaurants. Overall a lovely holiday.
