Where to stay in Chalkida

Hotel was great even though it has only 4stars rating. Accommodation ok, room ok, cleanliness ok, quietness great, amenities and facilities ok, price reasonable. Most important is it is facing with the water, you can enjoy the beautiful scene outside the room balcony.

I was supposed to be staying in a small double bed room, but the day I’d arrived, I was upgraded to a bigger room with a balcony which was absolutely amazing. Had a beautiful scenery out my balcony. The staff were amazing, food was good. Overall the whole stay was wonderful!

Stayed at Lucy Hotel and we enjoyed our stay. We booked with breakfast and dinner and we are happy with the dinner being served from 2:30 to 10 pm. Location was perfect as it is close to train Station and the view was phenomenal overlooking the sea.

Our planned trip to Tinos was cancelled due to high winds & ferry cancellations, so opted to spend 3 nights here. About a 75min comfortable train trip from Athens. Hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from Chalcis Station. We had a seafront room ( 413 ). Basic room, but spacious, clean, good air conditioning with a small balcony and beautiful views of the harbour. A very good buffet breakfast was included...

Too many power outages during our stay that lasted well over an hour, property should have had a generator temperature was in the 100s we were there July 28-Aug 1. Excellent breakfast buffet and excellent staff. Very clean property.

The area around and adjacent to the entrance to the hotel was under construction. The walkways had work benches and cables in and across them. The room was old and had peeling paint on the entire ceiling but clean. I didn't expect luxury but it was only "fair" not "good" and a bit overpriced for the accommodations I got.

I was travelling for the first time on my own, and I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel to stay!! The loveliest staff, who were so kind and caring and made me feel so at ease! So helpful when I needed assistance and I can’t recommend it enough! Perfectly positioned too!

This is the fifth time that I have stayed in the Almira Mare and I was welcomed as one of the family by all the staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the breakfast is very good with an outside terrace looking out toward the bay, the perfect Greek way to start the day. Great hotel! The hotel is widely setup! At the end they have the hotel and in between they have small garden and then two large swimming pools follewed with a nice bar/restaurant! The rooms were nice, however a bit outdated and smelled a bit stale. The staff were really friendly and helpfull! The breakfast was perfect, they had a lot of options to choose from. Furthermore the location is just 10 minutes...

Great little place hidden away from the hustle of Chalkida and Athens! The staff was fantastic and always helpful. Spent three weeks and will definitely be back. I was there in the off season so not a lot of visitors while I was there. The hotel manager, Georgia, was a pleasure and we had morning chats while I had breakfast. She was definitely a highlight of my stay.

I am glad to recommand this place. The room has all that you need. Not very big but spacy enough and kleen. George at the reception was so nice, caring and allways ready to help. It is located perfectly if you are with a car. Has free parking and within an easy ride to the center of Chalkida. Good value for money.

The hotel is far from the city center, but very suitable for those looking for some peace and quiet. In a short walking distance you will find excellent Greek restaurants. The breakfast is excellent. In my opinion, the hotel is better than the options near the boardwalk in Chalkis.

Amazing hotel! We had so much fun. The kosher food was pretty good and everything else was 10/10. I especially wanna thank the staff who was all we could ask for - helpful, kind and devoted. We wish to come back soon.

The hotel was great. Lovely location on the coast, you can walk from the pool area easily to the beach area. Both have lots of lounges and shade and kosher snack bar service in both areas including coffee, fresh pizza and salads. The kosher food in the dining room was good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and the rooms recently renovated.

The hotel and facilities are beautiful. Staff are nice and the place is clean. There is a lovelely vibe and a sense of serenity everywhere. Even though the hotel was at full capacity, it did not feel full anywhere - at the pool, dining room or beach. The beach is very private and secluded and has a bar and water sports. We drove to Jumbo and bought an intex boat for 40 euro and went boating every day...

We stayed at the Brown Hotel in Evia, Greece, as a family with two small children and a pregnant wife. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The rooms were full of ants, and we didn’t have hot water during our stay. The food options were not suitable for children, which made meals very difficult. There were no proper evening activities for kids no music, dancing, or entertainment to keep...

We visited the hotel on a Saturday. We were never informed that due to religious reasons they are not using the electricity for making coffees on a Saturday etc and there is no obvious statement in the website. It’s very respectable to have such policy however every visitor should be aware of it since it’s not a common thing in Greece. Staff was polite though.

We had a wonderful stay at Brown Hotel in Chalkida. The room was impeccable – very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We stayed in room 119, which had a beautiful view. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The food was very good, even during Passover, which is quite a challenge...

It was ok but not my expectations as a traveller, nice breakfast

Very comfortable & very clean hotel with delightful continental breakfast, kind and helpful staff, parking was near (extra cost). Hotel location on fantastic site, view on the Euboeian Gulf was fantastic as the evening walks along the sea

Very fancy hotel from outside, but very simple rooms inside. Old design and decoration, the rooms definitely need renovation. The location though is amazing, you are in the centre of the main area, where you can find countless restaurants and bars.

Location-great. View-great. Towels were changed every day and trash was taken out. Reception staff-polite and helpful. But... We stayed for 6 nights. During this time, the room was never cleaned: the bedding was not changed, the bed was not made, the floor was not cleaned, the furniture was not cleaned, the sink and bathtub were not cleaned. Our comments were not responded to. Only upon request, they...

The property had wonderful views over the water and to other side. Hotel showing signs of aging. Cracked sink, mildew in bathroom. Great promenade to walk along. Restaurants along promenade were woeful. Basic food unappealing and all same same. Found a great restaurant up a side street from water. Staff at reception really helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, modern design. A 5 minute walk to the promenade with lots of restaurants & cafes.

This hotel is family owned they are one of the nicest family . I want thank everyone to make our stay fantastic. This place is beautiful everything Is newly renovated. The breakfast is fantastic . A friendly and cosy hotel for a very reasonable price, Located in the middle of everything in the city of Chalkida. Clean and confortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Parking available within the building and close by. Easy to reach from Athens International Airport.

Such a great experience staying here while in town visiting family. Our stay was for 5 days, 4 nights and we could not have been happier. The staff were very nice and helpful with every request. Studio was far larger than expected, the balcony was large and we had good views. Breakfast plentiful and the pool lovely. Have stayed there before and would stay there again. Staff always polite and always ready with a helping hand for any questions. Excellent.

It is a silent place, very nice room..very large, it is an apartment...with tv in every room..great viee...with all u need for your holiday..it is ok for family and all type of taste...I like it very much...

Only stayed one night but very friendly and professions. Large rooms, modern and we'll kept. No tea or coffee so bring your own. Nice big breakfast selection.

Our stay was enjoyable. First of all the view is magnificent. You go out to the balcony and you have a plate of the sea in front of you. The room very clean and very polite, friendly and helpful all of the staff. The breakfast is delicious! Something we especially appreciated and liked the day we left was that even though we left quite early and before they started serving breakfast, they gave us takeout...

It is and still looks like a Greek hotel from the 80s. The room was spacious but not the cleanest, for example there were still hairs in the sink from previous visitors. Service not the best.

Friendly welcome. Amazing good value. Clean. Good food, (we had dinner and breakfast.) Great water pressure in the shower . A beautiful location. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea . Comfy beds and warm duvet (we stayed in December) Martha was so so friendly and looked after us as we checked in. I was sorry to leave. There's also a gorgeous gentle old dog who welcomes you, if you are lucky...

For one night it was superb. Price was low, the location was excellent. The room has everything you may need. There was a balcony with a perfect view, the bed was comfortable, there was an air conditioner, wardrobe, hairdryer, enough power outlets. The only disappointment was the bathroom. Small and weirdly positioned taking a shower was a bit weird, but the water flow was good, so no issues. There...

A 2 stars hotel. It is located some meters next to the beach. It has place for car parking and you can reach the shops just by walking. The hotel has it own restaurant and it's bar. Some times the waitress make noise and can interrupt you during your rest hours.

Very small toilet, almost non existent shower room. I booked a superior family room. Little space to move around. In the confirmation email it was mentioned breakfast included. We booked directly from the hotel site. There was no provision of breakfast. Windows have absolutely zero noise cancelling features & our room was ground floor right on the foot path. Had very disturbed sleep. Booked for 3 nights...

Budget Hotel, nice people, friendly!.

Overall a great experience. The room was basic, but clean and tidy. The bed was good and the service was excellent. On the cons would be the the wooden doors that provided no sound isolation and the sub-par view from the room. All in all a great experience considering the price and location. Good for short stays, or if you just need a place to spend a couple of nights.

Kind and available staff, ready and open for everything. The hotel has got all the basics, including a fridge and air conditioning. It is. Also possible to. Give them the laundry for washing the clothes.

Nice place for It's price in the centre of Chalkida. Make sure you have hot water before you enter the room. The flash of the toilet doesn't work in my room, I had to call the water manually. Not the best quality of mattress. The host was very kind and helped us to park the car, since parking is not guarantee around the hotel. Visit, only, if you have no other choice. I wouldn't recommend it
