The hotel was great. Lovely location on the coast, you can walk from the pool area easily to the beach area. Both have lots of lounges and shade and kosher snack bar service in both areas including coffee, fresh pizza and salads.
The kosher food in the dining room was good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and the rooms recently renovated.

Amazing hotel!

We had so much fun. The kosher food was pretty good and everything else was 10/10.
I especially wanna thank the staff who was all we could ask for - helpful, kind and devoted.

We wish to come back soon.

The hotel and facilities are beautiful. Staff are nice and the place is clean. There is a lovelely vibe and a sense of serenity everywhere. Even though the hotel was at full capacity, it did not feel full anywhere - at the pool, dining room or beach. The beach is very private and secluded and has a bar and water sports. We drove to Jumbo and bought an intex boat for 40 euro and went boating every day. The only downside is the food. We went there specifically for the kosher food and while decent it was really no more than that. While food didn't run out, lots of basic stuff like milk and tuna did. I'm not picky but coffee is a human right as far as I'm concerned and 3 days with no milk is not okay.

We stayed here for one week as a family of four with two young children (6 and 3). We booked this due to the kosher food, the location, and the fact that they had a pretty good special offer on at the time. I'm going to leave a *really* detailed review because I would've loved to read something like this before I booked, but there were hardly any reviews (from after it became kosher), so hopefully this will help someone. If you're looking for something brief, best skip this one ;) Food: By far the biggest problem with the hotel right now is the food. It isn't terrible, by any stretch, but it certainly isn't good. Considering the chain of hotels has plenty in Israel, you would expect the food to be similar to kosher hotels there; it isn't. Breakfast is ok, there were pancakes available on two days that we were there, and those were actually pretty good, but nothing else is anything special. The offering was basically various salads, some bread and spreads, a cheese or two (no feta!), some eggs, a yogurt, two basic cereals (honey loops and corn flakes), a couple of other bits. It lacked things like pastries, or even a toaster, and after a few days of the same stuff it became a bit dull. They also ran out of regular cow's milk on more than one day - while I appreciate that there were problems with shipments coming in, it doesn't make a great customer experience. Dinner is where the problem really lies. It's hard to explain because if I showed pictures you would probably think, hey that looks alright... and the truth is, it IS *alright*, but not more than that. There were usually 2 chicken/meat dishes, with another couple of sides, and a fish dish, and a soup each night, along with some salads and humous (tasted homemade but wasn't great). It sort of tasted like you'd gone round to a friend who was a perfectly OK cook but not particularly *into* cooking - so think like pretty plain chicken, potatoes, rice, etc. Apart from the quality of the food, another massive issue is that it really isn't very kid friendly. You would expect for a hotel to have kid staples every meal - maybe chicken nuggets/mini schnitzels, simple tomato pasta, etc. They didn't have it at all. As a result, my very fussy 3 year old basically just had plain bread every night, with a couple of spoons of soup. Now I can't blame the hotel for my son's eating habits, but you would definitely expect a family hotel to try to cater towards children more. Then you have the pool bar, and, to be fair, the best food that the hotel offers by far is the pizza; it is pretty authentic neapolitan pizza (only let down by the cheese they managed to get hold of) and is really very decent (I'm a big neapolitan pizza guy so I appreciated this). The other stuff there was meh - they had a couple of different pastas which were very very basic, and then salads and sandwiches which are a bit of a waste because you can basically just take from breakfast and make your own (which we did most days for lun

We stayed at the Brown Hotel in Evia, Greece, as a family with two small children and a pregnant wife. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The rooms were full of ants, and we didn’t have hot water during our stay. The food options were not suitable for children, which made meals very difficult.

There were no proper evening activities for kids no music, dancing, or entertainment to keep them engaged. Also, the food served at the pool bar was of very poor quality.

We expected a more family-friendly experience and were left disappointed. Definitely not the standard we hoped for.

We arrived at Brown Beach Chalkida right after its renovation, and it was a perfect stay. The rooms and facilities were of a very high standard, and everything felt fresh and stylish. We especially enjoyed the pool and the newly opened gym, which had all the essentials for a good workout. Breakfast was excellent every morning—fresh, varied, and delicious. The hotel’s location was also a big plus; close enough to Athens for day trips, we drove back and forth during the week for fun and shopping. In short, a great stay—comfortable, convenient, and beautifully designed. Highly recommended!

Shameless hotel, totally disgraceful handling of my reservation. I booked a room for my family 7 months in advance through an agency. 2 weeks ahead of the arrival I received an email from the hotel saying that they cannot honor my reservation due to "technical reasons at the hotel". Now the hotel and agency are not talking to each other so I will not get my refund in time (if ever) even to try to find another place to stay. Stay away at all cost if you don't want to risk your family vacation to be stolen just before your arrival. This is unheard of.

This hotel used to be among the best ones in town. At the moment, it is one of the most unwelcoming hotels I have ever experienced. We booked two rooms for family members who visited from the US because of the location and the old reputation of the hotel. It was a huge mistake because currently there is no inclusion and respect towards people who are not Kosher and it’s a disgrace to the Greek hospitality. In addition, the hotel runs as a 2-star and not as a 4-star hotel even though they claim they are a 4-star one. Rooms are very small, food is terrible and sometimes not even available at all and on top of that they don’t let you deliver food from outside the hotel and l won’t even comment about their “breakfast” and “coffee”. Highlights of this awful stay also include the rude attitude of the staff and the fact that they did not even provide water bottles to the guests in the rooms. They should emphasize on their website that not Kosher people are not welcome and they should definitely downgrade to a lower star hotel since they don’t meet the criteria to be a 4-star one.

We visited the hotel on a Saturday. We were never informed that due to religious reasons they are not using the electricity for making coffees on a Saturday etc and there is no obvious statement in the website. It’s very respectable to have such policy however every visitor should be aware of it since it’s not a common thing in Greece. Staff was polite though.
