Golden Sands Hotel in Agios Georgios Argyradon

Check-In was easy on our late arrival, we was given a packed supper and water which was welcomed. The room was at the front of the building overlooking the pool with a sea view and had a balcony. The room was clean with comfortable beds and had a newly renovated bathroom, there was plenty of hanging space for clothes. We had a fridge and the room was air conditioned. The maids done a great job of cleaning the room daily and providing fresh linen. It has a nice big pool with plenty of sunbeds & umbrellas dotted around. There’s an outdoor bar and snack bar with a nice seating area to relax. The food was good with plenty of options to choose from although the dessert selection could of been better but if it’s not to your liking then there’s plenty of seaview taverna’s a short walk away. The hotel is a central walk to supermarkets, shops, bars and beach’s…which is ideal. You can book trips very easily with Easybook who offer hotel pick up and drop offs making it super simple to enjoy a day out exploring. There’s Tennis & Basket ball courts and a small children’s play area to the side of the building, there also a pool table inside which is 2 euros per game. The hotel offers a couple of nights of entertainment but could be better that’s my only real negative. It’s a decent 3 star hotel with friendly staff.

After our holiday got cancelled we booked golden sands and we were not disappointed! Reading reviews and not expecting too much for our money we were very pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by lovely staff on reception, who couldn't do enough to make our stay a comfortable one. The bar staff George and Peter were really friendly and kept us laughing every time we ordered drinks, which were plentiful and huge measures! The pool area was cleaned every day, as was the bar area and the grounds, The sun loungers were clean tidy and we were never stuck trying to find one each day. The food was lovely, plenty of choices for everyone. Breakfast was more than enough with cereals, toast, and full English options. The dining room staff were clean and very efficient. The hotel room could do with a bit of modernising, but we're cleaned every day and fresh towels and toilet rolls were replaced every day too. You have two large supermarkets outside of the hotel complex, that sells everything from pool floaties, to cigarettes, clothes, souvenirs etc, again with very friendly staff. We loved this chilled relaxed vibe so much we have booked again for next August. Don't listen to the odd bad review on here, because if you let that stop you booking for golden sands you're missing out on a beautiful holiday!! For the small amount we paid for 9 days all inclusive, I would recommend this hotel to anyone!! We literally can't wait to get back there next year!! Brilliant little hotel, you won't be disappointed! Definitely worth the money, we loved every second of our stay!

Arrived late at night , the night porter sorted us out fine he is a friendly guy gave us a packed supper and some water great, Room on second floor was fine and cleaned every day the hotel is a bit old but everything works. sunshine area outside was perfect for me as was the pool bar all drinks free for me .the staff were fine and always helpful. The food was ok for me ,but my wife is a fussy eater so we ate out at night most nights. So all round good experience. PS took the all day grand island tour it was great.
