The hotel has both strengths and weaknesses. Pros: • A beautiful beach and clear sea, which are the main highlights of the stay. • Very kind and helpful staff who always try to assist guests. Cons: • The bathrooms are really small, with no storage space. The shower corner is only separated by a curtain and the water pressure is very weak. • The internet is slow and unreliable. • Meals are often repetitive and the selection is not as varied as in other hotels of the same chain. • In my opinion, the hotel corresponds more to a 3* standard rather than the declared 4*. • It is also inconvenient that buses cannot drive directly into the hotel area. Luggage has to be carried down the slope to the hotel on arrival and back up the hill to the bus on departure. Overall, the stay is pleasant mainly thanks to the beautiful beach and friendly staff, but in several aspects the hotel falls short and does not fully meet the four-star standard.

The hotel is located on a slope in a well-kept garden. It has one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Clean sand and water, plenty of sun loungers (we traveled at the end of August). Simple rooms, clean, comfortable beds and mattresses. The air conditioning is old-fashioned, but powerful and reliable. Peace and quiet at night (from 11 p.m.). Absolutely wonderful, professional, and friendly staff. Excellent cuisine. Many thanks to Giorgos, the restaurant captain, for his patience—my sister has several food allergies, and Giorgos always gave advice and helped.

Staff at beach bar and pool bar were great.Snacks available at both. Porta loo toilets at beach which worked fine.Beach was perfect. Got sunbeds everyday going after breakfast . Food was varied every lunch and dinner with pork or chicken or fish dish.Lovely salads.Icecream available all day. Drinks are Greece brands but loads of choice for cocktails and lovely iced coffees on beach. Had evening entertainment..rock band and the saxophonist were great. As 2 couples from England we loved the location, beach, staff and food. Can't understand the poor reviews,?

We saw quite a few negative reviews on the hotel before we came…..our experience was completely different, we had a great holiday. There’s a good selection of food and drink, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and no problem getting a sunbed either. A special mention to the chefs who were so helpful to my wife who has a gluten allergy. The only suggestion I would make is the bathrooms in the rooms could you with a bit of an upgrade. I suspect some of the negative reviews may be from people who want to pay 4 star prices but still expect a 5 star hotel. Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

This is a 3 Star Hotel pretending to be a 4 Star Hotel. - The Beach was great but smokers were everywhere. The Cigarette stench was horrible. The hotel should have made smoker and non smoker areas. - Food was acceptable but not really tasty. Long waiting times because there is just one line for food distribution. Two would have been needed. - No Wifi available in the rooms. Only around the main lobby and the beach. - Softdrinks had too much sugar in them. The water tasted kind of weird. The beer was not good either. - Staff was friendly and competent - No shop, or fitness room on Hotel grounds - There are 2-3 good food and tourist shops between 1 and 2 Kilometers from the Hotel - Good bar with a great view - The rooms were ok. Not Ultra Clean but not dirty either. Alexander is a good 3 Star Hotel but it does not fulfill the international standard to call itself a 4 Star Hotel. So 3/5. Its not great but not terrible either.

Will start by saying we WOULD go again. The location is fantastic, the beach is perfect. It seems to us that it was probably a 5* hotel when it was built in the 1980’s. However some parts of it are dated, so the room we stayed in was more like a 3* level. The food again, wasn’t great, probably 3* too. The location of the hotel and the beauty of the beach in our opinion is 5* though, and as this is the main reason we booked it, we would come again. Hopefully Mitsis will improve the rooms and restaurant in the future. The sunbeds are free. It’s true, there are many steps down to the beach, which wouldn’t be easy for some people. The hotel is slightly understaffed in our opinion. The staff there are working very hard. In short, we’d say OK hotel, but could be great with a few tweaks and a bit of investment.

Much like other reviews I and my partner would like to add our review. I would like to express deep dissatisfaction with both our experience at the Mitis Alexander the Great Hotel and the response received following our initial complaint. We believe it is important to highlight the substantial shortcomings we encountered during our stay. Room Misallocation Upon arrival on 24/06/2025, we were allocated room 737, which the hotel claimed was what we had booked. This is incorrect. Our reservation with 2bookaholiday clearly stated a Twin Side Sea View, not a Garden View. Inadequate Room Changes The initial room, 737, was wholly unsatisfactory. It was dated, unclean, and the view was of an overgrown garden. The entrance to the room was dark, dingy, and wholly uninviting. Following our complaint, we were moved to a second room, which was no improvement and quite frankly was worse. We eventually met with the hotel manager and were relocated a third time to room 418 which finally had a sea view. This hotel relies on the environment and not the hotel itself. While this room was an improvement in terms of location and view, many of the core issues remained — particularly regarding comfort, cleanliness, and maintenance. The air conditioning unit in room 717, which was so loud and faulty that it disrupted our sleep significantly. This was not a minor inconvenience—it directly affected our ability to rest and enjoy our holiday. In terms of housekeeping, we had effectively given up; on more than one occasion, we had to make the beds ourselves, as housekeeping had failed to do so properly. Sheets didn’t fit the beds, and the bathroom remained in an unacceptable condition. We refrained from repeatedly complaining, having realised that despite raising concerns, no meaningful improvements were being made. We also observed that the Customer Relations Manager was doing her best within a system that was clearly failing. Dining Experience The food quality throughout the hotel was consistently poor. We reside in North London, a culturally diverse area with many authentic Greek and Greek-Cypriot restaurants, and we can confidently state that the offerings at the hotel did not meet basic standards of Greek cuisine. (Unlike Agora beach bar on the same beach as the hotel; the food here was excellent). We tried the food in the dining room on a couple of occasions for dinner and the final straw was when we got chicken. My partner immediately stopped eating whilst watching me take a bite. At this point I couldn’t hold it in my mouth as it made me feel physically sick and I had to spit it into a napkin. As a result the hotel manager offered us a meal in the onsite Taverna. The so-called Taverna dinner was particularly disappointing in both quality and authenticity. This led us to dine outside the hotel, as did many other guests, this is reflected in numerous public reviews on Google. Describing our dissatisfaction as “subjective” is dismissive, especially when there

Mitsis are in their first season at this hotel. There's room for improvement and they're on it. Lots of changes and updating in the pipeline. However, our stay was lovely. The room was comfortable although the air conditioning could have been better on hot days. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff worked hard to make it a great experience. The drinks menu in the bars wasn't massive but it didn't need to be when there was something for everyone unless you're really fussy. The drinks they had were great and plenty good enough to make for an enjoyable lunch, afternoon or evening. Giannis at the pool bar made some particularly great cocktails with amazing relaxation properties! We were a little disappointed with the Tavern experience though. It seemed to have been "bigged up" through having to book but it didn't seem any more special than eating in the main restaurant. Most of all though, it was the Hotel Staff that made our stay so good. Lovely friendly people who just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Angie who checked us in and gave us a personalised tour of the hotel on our arrival was outstanding and a very interesting lady to talk to. Unfortunately I didn't catch all the names of al the 'Restaurant Crew' but we always had a lovely greeting from the girl and guy on the door every time we went in and the waiters and waitresses were lovely too. They worked so hard but we're always happy to chat a bit as well. Carina and Fani especially. The Mitsis Alexander the Great felt like a home from home. Really looking forward to going back.

I have stayed at the Alexander the Great hotel several times.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, beautiful private beach, the price-quality ratio is completely satisfactory.

I recommended him to friends, acquaintances and colleagues.

Each of them is impressed by the hotel, the restaurant, the location, the beach, and the peace that the hotel provides.
Like me, many of them will return to the unique beauty and combination of nature, hotels, resorts and services.
