Aphrodite Hotel in Mithymna

We had a lovely stay at this hotel it is located in a perfect location by the sea our room was 125 would not recommend as the balcony was not private cleaners where amazing with clean towels daily the food at the taverna was ok but the staff where really miserable so the customer service needs to improve.

I am here at the moment. The hotel is in a quiet spot with a small pebble beach. My room is good, the furniture is new, plenty of storage space. Good shower, clean towels everyday, they smell lovely and fresh. The room is kept clean. Breakfast is ok. A good selection of hot and cold food. You clear your own plates away but it isn’t a problem. Nice size pool with plenty of sun beds no need to get up early to find one. Enough sun beds around the pool and on the beach, it is very pebbly so beach shoes are a good idea. The taverna is good. I opted for half board being a solo female traveler. The food is excellent and plenty of choice. Now here is my negative. I feel that as a solo traveler I am not treated very well by the staff. I get the impression that I am an inconvenience. This makes me feel uncomfortable. The first evening eating there was ok but then it just went downhill. I went into Molivos for the day. A taxi to the castle is 9 euros. It’s very hilly so not advisable for anyone with walking difficulties. The hotel does not have a courtesy bus. I can’t fault the hotel . Personally I would not stay here again as it is too isolated for me.

I had a wonderful summer holiday at the Aphrodite Hotel with my girlfriend—it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and stylish, with unique furnishings and decor that give it a truly unique character. Our room was charming, and we truly enjoyed our stay. One of the highlights was the view from the balcony—we could admire the sea, sunrises and sunsets, and even the pool, which is perfectly situated right next to the beach and the hotel. The pool itself is large enough for a swim, and there are plenty of sunbeds to relax on, especially on warm and sunny days. Furthermore, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The meals served were delicious and well prepared, and there was a wide variety of options to choose from each day – there was always something to suit everyone. We had a wonderful time in Molyvos, visiting the local market and harbour, the historic castle, and the local restaurants. We also enjoyed a visit to Pedra Beach and the market, and even took a wonderful boat trip to Rabbit Island (Saint George Island). Great holiday memories, we will miss this place and hope to visit again.

I can see why this hotel has so many repeat guests. Its setting with its own beach.....large pool...taverna and beautiful gardens is wonderful. Everything is spotless and the staff so friendly. You are a 7 euro taxi....which are plentiful...ride to Molyvos. Spoilt for choice there with seafront, harbourside and rooftop tavernas to eat in. Plenty of bars dotted in there too not to mention shops. Topped off with a castle. Another place to visit nearby is petra with its church perched on a rock. I will definitely be joining the returners group. Lovely place to make fabulous memories with special people.

What a find this hotel is. As soon as you enter the reception area you are made welcome. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lovely clean, well appointed room with fridge and television. WiFi is very good, inside or out. Lovely pool area with the most comfortable sun loungers ever! Pebbly beach with a handful of sunbeds. Beautiful and peaceful. Great taverna by the sea serving delicious food and cocktails! Location is in a quiet rural area on the outskirts of Molyvos, which is recommended for great nights out with beautiful sunsets. Taxi costs 7 euro one way and are plentiful. This is a gem of a hotel and I shared a very happy holiday with my two lovely friends. Happy times and memories made.

What a gem this hotel is, perfect location, wonderful staff and amazing facilities. There are so many fabulous areas to sit according to your needs, full sun, shade, cool spots etc. I loved going on the pebble beach to cool off in the breeze, perfect! The food in the taverna down by the sea has a great menu and the food was good. Lovely fresh salads and tzatziki in abundance, delicious. So glad my first trip to Lesvos was at this hotel, it made it a very special holiday with my lovely friends 😊

Well deserved 4 stars for this hotel.Breakfast nice, everyone will find something for themselves. Rooms are nice ,bed comfy, Staff very friendly and location is amazing ,with private beach and restaurant
with prices not being over priced. Charming place and we have bene walking a lot ,visiting other villages around and location on this hotel seems to be the best.To get to the town it's about 1.5km up and down the hill with stunning views, or get the taxi for €7 . Beautiful place to relax.

The hotel grounds and pool are great with plenty of space and sunbeds. The beach is a pebble one and not very big but adequate. Beach shoes a must. The hotels Taverna is between the pool and beach and serves really good food and drink at reasonable prices. I think this is why they dont run a shuttle bus ..so guests stay on site. Its a 5 min taxi drive into Molivos and costs £7 euros. The breakfast was one of the best ever with loads of good choice (only thing missing was a decent sausage ). We booked with Jet2 and were in the original hotel block, not the annex. This was not as nice as the newer part and is in need of refurbishment.It appeared European guests were placed there. Molivos is really nice and we went to eat here 6 or 7 times. Best meals..The Sea Horse, Tropicana, Gatos , and Misirlou the burger place just before the harbour..Best burgers ever. Try Friends for lunch, all the locals go here for gyros etc. Also the womens co operative in Petra was fabulous. We hired a car for 2 days and saw some of the island which was nice. Its easy to see why this hotel and Molivos have so many returning guests .Some coming year after year. Everything went as planned so well done Jet 2 as usual. We will be back.

Very good breakfast but main building rooms need refurbishment.Staff were efficient and pleasant.Beachside taverna had very good food and was reasonable price.Gets lots of returning guests.
