Villa Adriana in Agios Prokopios

Villa? I do not think so. I stayed in villas before (Villa Betania in Florence, for example) and Adriana does not look and feel like one.
Hotel? No, not really. It looks more like a motel considering the improvised layout, the architecture and the amenities/service. It seems that each time the owner managed to make some money, he crammed room after room on his small piece of land. The pool is suffocated by buildings on all sides with very little room for the lounge chairs. An old photo shows a fence next to the pool with room to breathe.
I did not feel that it was a good value for my money. But, judging by the number of excellent reviews, different people have different needs and, if you are used to vacationing in cheap motels, then Adriana might be the right place for you.

Let me start first by clarifying the star-rating for this hotel. The EU has established clear rating criteria for European hotels through Hotelstars Union. The minimal criteria required for a rating of 2 or 3 stars are listed below:
2 stars:
•Breakfast buffet
•Reading light next to the bed
•Internet access in the room or in the public area
•Payment via card
•Body wash or shower gel at the shower/bath tub
•Linen shelves
•Offer of sanitary products (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit)

Villa Adriana does not offer body wash, shower gel and sanitary products (toothbrush, toothpaste or shaving kit). We only found a small soap in our room and we had to go to the local store to buy body wash and shampoo.

3 stars:
•Reception opened 14 hours, accessible by phone 24 hours from inside and outside, bilingual staff
•Lounge suite at the reception, luggage service on demand
•Beverage offer in the room
•Telephone in the room
•Hair-dryer, cleansing tissue
•Dressing mirror, adequate place or rack to put the luggage/suitcase
•Sewing kit, shoe polish utensils, laundry and ironing service
•Additional pillow and additional blanket on demand
•Systematic complaint management system

There was no telephone in the room, no beverage offer in the room, no sewing kit or shoe polish utensils, and no hair dryer or cleansing tissues. I did not notice a systematic complaint management system. The reception was not open 14 hours. Moreover, the reception guy was in and out.

Listing Villa Adriana as a 3 star hotel is a fraud. A free jug of cheap bad wine and 2 glasses of sugary orange juice do not make up for those 2 missing stars. When I pay for a 3 star hotel I expect it to be a 3 star hotel.

Upon clicking on location, Tripadvisor shows this hotel close to the beach, next to the Naxos Island 5 star hotel, which is a deceiving error. I have no idea how this glitch is possible. Villa Adriana is far from the beach. Had he known this was a 1 star hotel far away from the beach, my boyfriend would have not booked it. We were so lucky we split our vacation between Mykonos and Naxos. Mykonos saved our vacation from total failure. If you get stuck at Adriana for your entire vacation, you are doomed.
