Proteas Hotel & Suites in Agios Prokopios

Proteas is a fantastic place, exactly what we were looking for. Nestled a bit uphill and away from the crowds, with nice views and a fresh sea breeze. Everything is in impeccable shape! The service is very nice, personal and proactive. The beach is well accessible, has good service, and this is the calmest part of it.
Just a couple of things to be aware of: You will want to have a car or quad to get around here, which we rented at the port right upon arrival. And the pool is not for small children, it’s actually rather deep.

Andreas & Mary are the most incredibly warm & helpful hosts. The property is stunning! Every room is slightly different but all are beautifully constructed. The entire property is meticulously maintained. It truly is as beautiful as their website photos. If you fly into Naxos, pre-arrange a taxi (25 euros) to the hotel. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine. Each of our rooms had a Nespresso machine (not shown in website photos). The location is perfect. It's a 6 minute walk to the bus (to the port). Buy bus tickets at the hotel desk. It's an easy 8 minute walk to the best part of the best beach. We had to reschedule a couple of pre-booked activities (due to high winds), and Andreas was amazing (see him in website photo 26/123). We needed a pharmacy on a Sunday morning. Andreas made call after call to find one that was open and had what we needed. The breakfast was shockingly HUGE. The food was delicious and there was just SO much of it. It starts at 8:30, but we had an early excursion, they accommodated 6 of us with breakfast at 7am. We felt so warmly welcomed and cared for throughout our 4 night stay. Every afternoon/evening when we returned to the property we were welcomed back like family.

A beautiful family run resort. Spacious rooms, Hugh patios with ocean views. Fantastic breakfast. Walking distance to beach and bus- family owners were so accommodating and helpful. Can’t say enough great things about this hotel. Highly recommend when in Naxos

Amazing hotel. We stayed in a junior suite with a gorgeous terrace that had a sea view. Beautiful views of the sunset every evening. Amazing staff, very attentive and super friendly - would definitely stay again

The hotel itself is a beautiful, well kept building with great views and lots of charm. The Proteus family were very attentive and caring and the continental style breakfast we had here was the best we've had on our holiday so far. Would highly recomend!

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days during the peak of the summer season. The location is excellent. It is a family-run business, and the owners are truly exceptional—extremely polite and very attentive. The rooms are quiet, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Cleanliness is a top priority for me, and in this regard, I would rate this accommodation a perfect 10.

Such a pleasant and peaceful place to be! All of the family and staff were so welcoming and friendly! The Hotel and pool are spotless! So close to town and the beach!! Both sunsets and sunrises to be seen!! So thankful to have chosen Hotel Proteas out of so many choices!!

Our 2nd stay at Proteas. Charming, beautiful family run hotel. We love it.

Stayed 2 nights at Proteas and we absolutely loved our stay. The accommodation is gorgeous and the pool is much larger than I was expecting. Staff are wonderful. It’s a 10min walk to all the shops, cafes, restaurants and beach.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something away from the chaos but still very close to everything and with such beautiful character.

Spotlessly clean hotel with a fantastic location, just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. While we missed a little of the typical Greek warmth and hospitality, everything else was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our stay
