Innaxos Studios, Grotta Area, Naxos Town in Naxos Chora

We loved our stay at Hotel Grotta, room 50 overlooking the sea. The breakfast offered a delightful array of Greek dishes, more than we could ever completely sample. The staff called us by name and knew we were in town for an important event: our daughter’s wedding. They were a great source of local advice and offered to help in any way they could. And I cannot complete my review without raving about the hot tub jacuzzi and resistance pool that could be scheduled for private use. Book Hotel Grotta if you’re ever in Naxos!

The Hotel Grotta is a beautiful and clean establishment that sits atop a scenic hill that overlooks the sea. The property is immaculate and the rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds and amenities the meet or exceed those found in the finest 5 star hotel chains. The breakfast is a culinary masterpiece and the staff are all kind, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable about the island. The indoor pool and hot tub are an added bonus, especially for travelers who want to take a dip on the ¨off season. I really hope we can visit again sometime in the future.

Really just the best hotel I'ce every stayed in, and I am writing this from a fice star joint in Athens after my flight was overbooked. The Lianos family and staff are simply the most welcoming people I met from Greece on my trip. I will be returning here to stay any time I am in Naxos. Easily the best view of the portara as well! I met so many great people here as well- as a solo traveler I feel like the family vibes were really conducive to meeting other folks to hang out and explore the island with. Truly an unforgettable experience that I will continue to cherish for the rest of my days. Just do yourself a favor- if you are staying in Naxos Chora, stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay at the Hotel Grotta. The room was comfortable, lovely sea view, nice clean towels every day, good toiletries. Breakfast was delicious. The best part of our stay was the wonderful hotel staff. So friendly, chatty, charming, a pleasure to be with!

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were so kind and friendly and the rooms were spotless. AC worked well and the breakfast was AMAZING. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. The spa is a nice addition too. About 10 min walk to Naxos town. Such a great spot!

My mum and I spent seven nights at Hotel Grotta, and it was one of the most wonderful experiences we’ve ever had. Our trip didn’t start smoothly due to a cancelled flight and a very delayed journey, but from the moment we finally arrived, we were so well looked after. Even though it was very late, someone still came to meet us at the port with the warmest welcome, and that kindness set the tone for our entire stay. The breakfast was absolutely incredible and a real celebration of Greek food. Every morning we enjoyed the choice of delicious yoghurt, fruit, omelettes, fresh salads, and the most amazing pies. The cakes were a favourite, especially the orange one! Our room was spotless and beautifully maintained each day, with a beautiful sea view. Waking up to see the Portara each morning was beyond magical. The location was ideal too; peaceful and quiet, and a short walk into town (around 10–15 minutes on the road, less if you took the shortcut down a little hill). A huge thank you to Connie, Aino, Michael, Constantina, and all the staff for being so genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They made us feel like part of the family and turned our holiday into something truly special. We can’t wait to return to Hotel Grotta 💙

No seriously, it was the highlight of the trip. Everything that everybody has raved about is true -- the breakfast, the views, the food, everything. The staff is what makes this place an incredible gem. They were unbelievably helpful, kind, thoughtful. They called drivers and arranged pickups and brought us to the port and...everything. There are plenty of places in Naxos with pretty views but the service as the Hotel Grotta cannot be beat. Just go book a stay there. Right now!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Grotta and were thoroughly impressed! The location of the facility is fantastic, with beautiful views of the castle/fortress, the Portara, and the surrounding sea and mountains — just beautiful! The hotel itself is immaculately decorated and maintained with plenty of amenities from a wonderful indooroutdoor breakfast area, a spa area that can be privately booked, and a fantastic rooftop terrace. Our room itself was beautiful with a private balcony that overlooked the sea. The shower was fantastic with a rainfall shower head and great water pressure. By far the best feature if the hotel, though, was the staff — from the desk staff, to the kitchen staff, from the housekeeping staff to the driver that transported us to and from the port (just a short walk away from the hotel). Every single person that we interacted with was friendly, accommodating, and truly invested in ensuring that our stay was as fantastic as possible. Of particular note, Connie and Konstantina who were waiting for us every morning to present us with a fabulous and extensive breakfast. They both provided smiles and good advice for places to visit on the island in equal measures. Fantastic! This was truly an amazing leg of our vacation in Greece and the Cyclades. We will be back and will stay nowhere in Naxos other than the Hotel Grotta!
