Kerkis Bay in Marathokampos

We stayed one week and wish we had booked for two ! Everything was perfect, the hotel is in the village close to the restaurants, beach, beautiful marina. We ate in all of the restaurants during our stay and couldn’t fault one. The taverna at the hotel is a traditional Greek taverna serving lovely dishes. Our breakfast provided was a great selection and always more than enough provided. The staff at the hotel were always so lovely, helpful and really looked after us. We had a triple room and it was cleaned every day and fresh towels and bedding provided mid week. The village itself is small, friendly, unspoilt and traditional and an absolute gem of a find. We are already looking at booking to go back next year! I was concerned after reading the bad review prior to our visit but we had nothing to worry about our stay was totally perfect.

Kerkis Bay Hotel was the perfect place to stay in Samos. Loved the scenic fishing village of Ormos Maratthokambou. The rooms were comfortable, air conditioning was great, being in the center of this great village was they key. The onsite restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus, it was very close to great coffee bars, restaurants, bars, beaches, boats and boat outings. Easy taxi service or drive to Kampos.

Everything was perfect! Ormos is a beautiful place to stay for holidays or visit! We stayed there for 1 week and we really liked it! If you need something extra or some help the people that they work there always gonna help you anytime!! Also there is in front of hotel also a restaurant with the same management that it was a big plus for us!

We have been to many places before but this holiday was fantastic. Intimate hotel, beautiful views, fanastic Greek cuisine, lovely and helpful people🙂 If you like sightseeing this place is for you, if you love cats you will be in paradise ❤️ The cat in the photo is Greta, if you meet her buy her food before she goes back to Poland ❤️🙂

I'm speaking as a dining customer, not as a resident here.
Not a traditional beef stifado but, nevertheless, enjoyable so long as you are prepared to eat a large mound of onions before you arrive at the tasty and tender beef underneath. Served with very good Greek chips.

About the restaurant:The food is spectacular and the service is simple magnificent, I adored the view. most certainly a restaurant worth visiting!!

Aug 2013 - It's a long way away from the main population centres on Samos but for the price, it's worth it. The rooms we had (totally separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom) were huge by the standard of anything else we encountered in Europe and the UK. Unfortunately only the power point running the fridge (which was right next to the bed) ran independent of the key. I moved the fridge into the lounge which meant when we went out the fridge switched off.
The continental breakfast included was adequate. Cereal, toast cheese and tea and coffee. But for the price, you can't complain. Parking is a non event, you just park anywhere you can in the blistering Aegean sun.
Not a lot goes on in Kerkis Bay which is why my partner referred to it as Pensioners Paradise. But I booked it because it was away from the glitzy well trodden tourist traps. I'd stay here again.

This is a delightful, well-managed, hotel in a very laid-back fishing port in south west Samos. Rooms are clean and quiet. Aircon works well. Double glass balcony door keeps out noise if you want silence. Wooden shutters keeps out the light. True, beds are hard, but I haven't slept better, so relaxing was the environment. Breakfast included in the price was basic but adequate, coffee was good. The restaurant downstairs was charming and the 10% discount for hotel guests was a nice touch. We stayed four nights and could have easily stayed longer.

First time on Samos and first time in this hotel. Depending on the price and stay it was a good stay in this hotel.
