Proteas Blu Resort in Pythagorio

Nice clean hotel with excellent customer service.The breakfast was good in fact too much choice of different cold and hot food.The restaurant food was nothing special and would be better with a more international choice. The gym was very small no hand weights and one running machine out of order.Needs some TLC.Nice swimming pool but a bit on the chilly side.All the sunbeds and I mean all of them provided very poor shade from the sun. We were given an upgraded room to a chalet with a reasonable veranda which had sun shine the whole day.The room was simply but modernly furnished although the shower wets the whoke of the bathroom floor.The room contained a fridge which was useful but no hot water kettle to make your own drinks.The hotel is built on a steep hill so you need to be in good shape to get to the main building and back a few times a day or indeed the swimming and sun bathing area down by the beach. Pathagorio was a 30 min walk into town if you want to brave the busy windy road that has almost no pedestrian pavements.The alternative is to take a taxi which reception will organise for you at €8 each way.I would suggest the hotel provides a bus to and from town twice a day for a small fee.Pathagorio is a nice small town but you need to shop around for food at a reasonable price.One day we took a trip to Kusadasi and Ephesus from Samos.Another day a local bus trip to Vathi €1.90 each way

Unforgettable Honeymoon at Proteas Blu
We spent our honeymoon at Proteas Blu Resort and it truly exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, luxurious, and welcoming. The entire property is spotless, beautifully designed, and set in one of the most stunning locations in Samos. The staff deserve special recognition: they are not only extremely professional and attentive, but also warm, kind, and genuinely caring, making us feel valued throughout our stay.

Our room was beautifully prepared with thoughtful details that made our honeymoon feel even more special. Breakfast was a highlight every morning – an impressive variety of delicious options catering to all tastes, always fresh and satisfying. The private cove is absolutely unique to this hotel; swimming in such a peaceful, crystal-clear spot felt like a dream.

What impressed us even more was the value for money. Considering the luxury, service quality, and exclusivity, the prices are very reasonable. Even food and drinks at the hotel were fairly priced compared to outside. Proteas Blu is not just a hotel – it is an experience of serenity, romance, and world-class hospitality. We left with unforgettable memories. For anyone visiting Samos, especially couples, staying here is simply a must.

The best view!!!hotel facilities are excellent!!extremely clean very very polite staff.We had dinner on the greek night event and the food was very good in very good price!the location is the best!!it has its own private beach with sun beds all different kinds bar service and its 5 minutes away from the centre of pythagorio which is a very good choice to spend your evening!!!

The location is really a "paradise",breakfast is perfect...we had some problems with the cleaning of our room but Martha did "everything " to solve the problem as fast as she could in a very professional way,so a big thank you to her!!anyway,a very BIG thank you espacialy to Pandeli (the bartender of cavo pountes) to make our stay FABOULUS!!Also for It was always a big pleasure to be served from him and the nice talks we had to end our dqy...also for Simonetta HUDGE respect!!a LOVELY lady that make the people smile...everything you need on your holiday!unfortunatly the younger staff was not always that positive.they should take an example from the older staff to realize how they should be with tourists..lovely hotel but sometimes I had the feeling that a lot of staff were workong "against their will" and I don' t want to feel this after 1 year of hard working also on my holidays.

Prosteas Blu Resort is a beautiful and peaceful hotel. The design is modern and clean. The rooms are very comfortable and have amazing views. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is kind and helpful. I had a great time here and I really want to come back again. Thank you for everything!

Thanks to all the staff at Proteas for making our stay so amazing, and for helping me celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday in an excellent way. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back here again. Well worth a visit if you are in Samos.

From the very first minute until the check out, it was an amazing experience. Fascinated by the service, gestures, food and everything. Already suggested to my colleagues and they are planning their vacation. Dont even think about for one second and just book your stay!!

The rooms were clean and local, the view from the room was great, the beach was comfortable and there was a wonderful sea. The staff was very polite and helpful, the food was varied and delicious, there was always an electric car at service. A hotel that can be recommended to everyone.
