Location

Astir Odysseus Kos Resort & Spa is located in Tigaki, Greece, just 17 km from Kos Island International Airport. The hotel sits on the beachfront with its own sandy beach area 30 meters away, on the first line to the sea. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, providing access to Kos Town, which is 5 km away and offers evening entertainment options. Nearby attractions include the Plane Tree of Hippocrates, located 4.6 km from the hotel. Tigaki Beach lies 1.1 km away, accessible by short transport. Despite its relatively quiet surroundings, the hotel’s location provides easy connections to main points of interest on Kos Island.

Tips

  • If you plan to stay in a room with a private pool, note that outdoor pools are not heated, which may be uncomfortable for babies.
  • Use the hotel app to conveniently order drinks to your sunbed and avoid long waits.
  • Since the hotel’s beach is pebbly and sea conditions can be rough, bring appropriate footwear for beach visits.
  • For excursions or exploring Kos Town, use the bus stop just outside the hotel as taxis might be delayed or expensive.

The hotel is gorgeous. Quiet and very well maintained. The food was excellent in variety and cooked with passion. Had a pool room which was out of this world.

Home after a week stay at this fantastic. Hotel ! All staff were amazing. Everywhere was so clean and tidy from the moment we walked through the lobby and escorted to our room, Which was modern immaculate and spacious. We booked a double room with private pool. We have a five month old baby and we couldn’t use the pool it’s was far to cold we wouldn’t book this room type again because of this reason huge huge shame! The food in the main restaurant was fantastic, plenty of choice for breakfast lunch & evening meal’s, we were all inclusive drinks were fantastic, brilliant choice of cocktails ( you download the app and get a code on arrival so you can order drinks directly to your Sun-lounger around the pool’s / beach area also use the app for menu browsing check the weather & see what’s on entertainment wise etc. The other hotel pools are also not heated. You do get use of the Spa pool downstairs where The Spa is located. Kids can use this accompanied with adults between one and three daily we found this out on our second day which was good to know & obviously this time is quite busy with families. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Not much to do in the area. We got the bus to the old town this is about 10 minutes away. The hotel has a Small shop on site, mini golf was good. Thank you to all the staff ☺️

We're here on our second day today and we think everything is great! It's spacious and doesn't feel crowded. There are plenty of sun loungers, and everything is neat and clean. The staff, from reception to the wait staff, are very pleasant and helpful, and the food leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is delicious and varied. We'd be happy to recommend you!

We stayed in September 2021. The establishment is very clean, the service is excellent, there's something for every taste, and the food menu changes. Dinner at the See restaurant is complimentary for longer stays. We had all-inclusive pricing and loved it. The rooms were cleaned daily by very friendly cleaners. We would go there again and again.

A very good family hotel! We stayed there with our three-year-old son. There are plenty of options for children. They had everything from a mini-disco to childcare. The hotel and complex are very large and clean. The food was also good, but I've eaten better in other 5-star hotels. We'd love to come back.

We were completely satisfied. We stayed at the hotel for a week with our 4-year-old grandson. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the pool was great. Everything was perfect. Special thanks to the restaurant and bar staff.

I can't thank the entire team at Astir Odysseus enough for making this holiday an experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the bar to the restaurant to the gardeners, every detail was perfectly executed, and we truly felt like every need was anticipated. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here! A special mention must go to the incredible animation team, who truly made our stay unforgettable. Their youthful energy brought a refreshing vibe to the hotel, and their positive, vibrant personalities added so much joy to our days. I’d like to extend an extra special thank you to Abi, who runs the animation team. She is truly an asset to Astir Odysseus. It's clear that her team holds her in the highest regard, and we were lucky enough to see her in action. Abi is not only beautiful inside and out but also an exceptional professional. She answered every question with ease and kept us entertained every evening with amazing shows. Her talent as a dancer is extraordinary, and it's clear that she and her team are all dedicated, skilled, and passionate about what they do. Thank you so much for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to return in the future!

Stayed here with my young daughter recently. Firstly, the staff are all lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The facilities are great, lots to do for adults and kids, food on the whole was excellent and everywhere was spotless. So lots to like but a few things let the hotel down. Firstly, we stayed in a one bedroom suite (room 403) and it was incredibly disappointing. The room was surrounded by paths on 3 slides so there was no privacy and we had to keep the blinds and curtains closed at all times and the small patio was not suitable for sitting outside. The room itself was certainly not comparable with rooms I’ve stayed in at other 5* hotels and the entrance to the room (see photo) was frankly depressing and more suited to a 2* hotel. The other issue was how crowded the pool areas felt. On 2 or 3 occasions we couldn’t get a sunbed at either pool. The large lagoon style pool felt especially crowded and not relaxing. The hotel claims to have a non-reservation of sunbed policy and it’s clearly stated on every parasol but it’s not enforced so many sunbeds were reserved and not used until early afternoon. Please enforce this policy as it’s incredibly annoying. Sort out these issues and it’s a true 5* experience but sadly for me it wasn’t.

Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
